My boyfriend and I visited this place because we were in the mood for some good creole food. Looking at the reviews I decided to get the shrimp etouffee with sweet corn hush puppies and my boyfriend ordered the fried catfish with cheese grits. When our food came out, my order was correct however they gave my boyfriend shrimp and grits instead of the catfish and grits. The waiter Alan noticed that the order was incorrect and quickly apologized and corrected the order, but let us keep the shrimp to try both since it was our first time. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS!! The cheesy grits were so seasoned, shrimps and catfish were fresh and a good size, the sweet corn hush puppies had me wanting another order, the etouffee was amazing and it tasted like it was the real thing, (straight off of Bourbon). If we had to choose between the fried catfish or fried shrimp with cheese grits, it would definitely be the shrimp. But, with Uber Eats, we now have greater opportunity to stay in, select from the full menu, and get a delicious order of fresh food within 25 minutes. Catfish Station was FAST with our order for 4 people. The reviews were fabulous. My blackened catfish with your-choice-of-2 sides, dirty rice and cheese grits, was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and a steal for the amount of food they gave. Also, they presented it beautifully with the fish nestled on the rice. My husband had grilled shrimp, our friend had a seafood fried combo, and the best was declared to be the crawfish pie. First off, the sign said $7.99, but we were charged $9.99. The cashier did not say anything and to us ahead of time. She only told us after we mentioned the discrepancy. She said they realized the sign was wrong, but it hadn't been changed yet. I emailed the business, and got no response. In addition, they were tiny! They also didn't look great. You know oysters are one of those things you have to be very cautious with. So unfortunately, it was like throwing $10 in the trash--which is also where the oysters went. This is a good go to for fast food catfish, hush puppies and fries. Went today for the first time in almost a year and was disappointed to find that they had NO regular tarter sauce. Fresh seafood close to home in cypress! My family and I have been waiting for this place to open. There aren't many seafood options nearby us, so we were thrilled to see the Catfish Station sign pop up. I ordered the catfish basket just to try it out. It came with 5 fried catfish filets, fries, and hush puppies. It was enough for my kids and I to share. The portions are generous. The fish was definitely fresh and flaky. Keep up the good work! Finally good seafood in Cypress! It doesn't look like much from the outside, but as soon as we walked in, we were politely welcomed by the young lady with a smile on her face. She was ready and eager to take our order. We tried the fish and shrimp po-boy sandwich with fries, fish & shrimp combo with hush puppies, gumbo and red beans and rice - every single item was freshly made and seasoned perfectly! My husband said this was the best gumbo he's ever had. The Shrimp was my favorite because it was lightly battered. The hush puppies are also made from scratch - crispy on the outside and mouthwatering on the inside. We tried the spicy tarter sauce which is also made in-house (they have a variety of dipping sauces for the seafood). We appreciate good food and can't wait to go back! I must have come on an off-night, esp after reading other 4-5 star reviews. 1st, the place is tiny and connected to gas station, but that's no biggy. What bothered me was that it was 43 deg outside and was 58 deg inside (per thermostat) with what felt like AC blowing over us! The heater seemed broken. 2nd, they ran out of regular white rice for the Shrimp Etouffe, so we had to substitute for dirty rice. But we never received any rice for the Chicken & Sausage Gumbo we ordered..? 3rd, they ran out of the green beans side, so were making more, but we were about done with our meal when it was brought out to us. It was nice though that they gave us an extra serving of it for waiting. Everything is made to order, so tastewise-- the food was great. Grilled Seafood Combo was delish-- catfish didn't taste fishy/muddy, and was very flaky. Shrimp was well-seasoned. Dirty rice hit the spot. Gumbo (minus the missing rice) was a lil more watered down than I prefer, but it did have good chunks of meat in it. Hush puppies were YUM. The food itself is why I gave it a 3, and not 2. Don't think my party will return, but I would give 2nd chance. Next time, I may consider drive thru before 8pm to avoid menu items running out and freezing to death like this visit. read more

This location is close to my office as before we used to visit the Huffmeister location. It's smaller but the service and food are still outstanding. Catfish breading is some of the best around and the sides are great. Hush puppies are excellent and this location is on our monthly rotation. Good stuff! read more

I usually do the shrimp snack basket which comes with 4pcs or shrimp, fries, and hush puppies. The BF gets their Fish basket which comes with 5 pcs of catfish, 2 hush puppies, and side. Their hush puppies are the best! It's fried to golden perfection with bits of corn in it which is soooo good. We always get an extra order. I really like this place. If you love fried catfish then you will love this little hole in the wall neighborhood restaurant. Everything I have had there is good. Hush puppies, fries, and of course catfish are so good. I love that this place is so close to home. On a night we don't want to make dinner we can just call a order in and pick it up. They give you plenty of food and the prices are very reasonable. 40 to 50 to feed a family of four and that's with plenty of food to feed teenagers. Wow! Beats all the fancy Cajun establishments. It's on the side of a gas station but don't let that fool you. Inside is actually clean and tastefully decorated. Now for the food. Food is made to order so it's not fast food but comes out piping hot. We had fried fish tacos, blackened fish with dirty rice. The fish taco had perfect amount of condiments on it and it was a cornmeal batter. So good! I will Have to come back and try the shrimp taco. Cheese grits are the best I have had anywhere. perfect texture and creaminess. Blackened fish was fresh and seasoned well. Not dry like it could easily be. They have crawfish which will be interesting to try. I also got a complimentary bread pudding which was surprisingly good despite the looks. It was more like a cake and not custardy like I'm used to. In July, I was charged for an item I didn't order. Brought it to the manager's attention. She refused to refund. Contacted Catfish Station through their Facebook page. They read my messages but didn't reply. Got my refund by disputing with my credit card. Decided to give it another shot today. Made my order with water as my drink. Cashier asked me if I was really getting water or if I was going to take a soft drink and not pay for it. The manager didn't have much explanation to offer on why they ask their customers if they're going to steal from them. She said she didn't know how to contact anyone at their corporate office. I asked if she didn't know who her manager was, and she gave me a name and phone number. The phone number goes to a voicemail that won't take messages. Good food but shady, shady, shady business. Went there for Catfish because of all the talk. While placing my order I asked the gentlemen was it Catfish or Basa (Sawei) he proceeded to tell me that it was Basa they were serving as catchfish and that there is no difference between the two. I changed my order to Shrimp!!! read more

This was my second time visiting Catfish Station. So far it's been consistent with a great quality product. Compare this against Long John Silver's for instance and you will understand that Catfish Station is a higher quality and better product. For instance, they're Fried menu items are not as greasy and it doesn't make you feel weighed down after eating it which is a huge Plus for fish and chips. Today's experience was great!
