The Barn is one of those local spots that just gets it right. We went for Singo Bingo one night and honestly had more fun than we expected. It's like bingo and a sing-along had a really good time together. The energy in the room was great, everyone was into it, and the whole place had that laid-back, friendly vibe that makes you want to stay longer than you planned. The crowd was fun, the staff was welcoming, and the atmosphere felt very "local hangout" in the best way. It's the kind of place where you can show up with friends, laugh way too much, and leave already planning your next visit. If you're looking for a low-key night out that's actually entertaining, Singo Bingo at The Barn is absolutely worth checking out. Definitely one of the most fun nights I've had in a while. read more

Came here for a halloween party and to catch a band we love the Spicoli's. Sadly this place made it a problem and an exspensive one at that. First they shut down their parking lot, and then started selling tickets. So if you bought a ticket that got you into the parking lot. However, you needed to buy a second ticket to get in to see the band, or you could just hang out in thier parking lot. Heres is where it gets worse. Since they shut down thier parking lot You had to park next door at the chruch. Which gladly charged $15. Now I only bought the first ticket because my girlfriend bought my second ticket. I did hear another patron say it cost her $70 and she ubered there so she didn't pay for the parking. I think we will not be returning to this establishment. read more

We had a great time! Atmosphere was awesome, plenty of space inside (a/c) and outside. Parking was fine for a Saturday night. We did not eat just went out there for a bday party. They had a cover band that was awesome, we had some tables reserved. Drinks and shots were great! Wish I would've taken more pix. Only complaint is women's restroom is tiny - 2stalls and the doors were designed to open the right way for the size of the area lol but overall I will definitely go back - sucks its so far from my house cuz if I was local then would be my hangout! read more

Yikes. Went to a concert. There was a food vendor, separately a drink vendor, and presumably, you could bring in food from the Frio Grill. Welp, when a member of our party went in to order food, was told to-do orders were NOT available. Okay. Other members go in, order food, then after ordering, they say they need it to go. No problem, they are told. Hmm... The drink vendor, cool, no issues. The food? Well,I get there is one person cooking and they are working HARD. But my order was skipped over. My order was two nachos. The easiest thing to put together, everything is already prepped in a steam table. After I tell them that my order has not come, they say it will take a second and I'm still there, 20 minutes later. I should also note, other orders of nachos, placed after me, are being prepared and served in that intervening time. Not acceptable. The venue was decent for music but the food service was clearly lacking. read more

It's nice and cozy at night especially in the winter and I feel like they need to make it bigger place specially like where people ordering because it's hard to make even align for people, especially big people and they need to provide more chairs instead of people bringing their chairs and sit outside to listen to music they need to be a provider here and bring extra chairs for people so they can get more customers read more

This place is part of the Frío restaurant , and it's located in the back corner of where Frio is. It's 21 and over with live music. We got 4 different tacos, chicken nachos and a Cuban sandwich. The tacos were pretty good, but the rest of the food was unimpressive. Nothing great! read more

This place is expanding rapidly. But not at all for the better. We purchased a $200+ table for 6 which is at the "front" (table 105). They then added a gate/fence for the pit and everyone in the pit leans up against the gate blocking your table view (see photo). Skip the front tables and either buy one further back or just get pit and be the person that blocks everyone's view. read more

Live music, golden tee arcade game. Two levels of seating (tables downstairs, comfy lounge chairs upstairs). TVs. Outside patio seating. No kids allowed! While children are allowed to run all over the lawn across the driveway at the Frio, children are not allowed in The Barn. This definitely helps add some stars to the rating. There is a full bar with various liquors, beer, and a $5 shot wheel you can spin. The menu offers a twist on regular bar food. While you can't get a burger or chicken fingers, you can order flatbreads or hot sandwiches like Philly Cheesesteak. Only a couple of menu items from The Frio were added to this menu, so do not expect the same food. Knocking off two stars for our experience, which was immediately improved upon when our first bartender left and we got a better one. Our first bartender allowed a dog behind the bar and was petting him. She immediately said "dont worry everyone, I am going to wash my hands now" but it still was not sanitary whatsoever. She also made terrible, watery drinks. After her shift was over, a nice guy served us stiff drinks in a professional and sanitary matter. I usually would have given 1-star for the dog incident, but it is a casual barn atmosphere and this was just a random bad apple bartender. Cypress needed a place like this. OMG where to start? No ones wearing masks. Even the staff isn't. Tables are too close and no ones social distanced. Cheap prices for cans but hidden prices for drafts. And they were jacked up considering the location. I didn't feel safe here at all. Mosquitos were out of control. They had bug spray but only 20% DEET kind. Aka not safe for humans. Gonna shower when I'm home. Food was good but worth getting Coronavirus. Restrooms were tight and no masks. Hand sanitizer was available but barely used. As I'm waiting in line to be served at the bar an older Caucasian male notices me and walks up to me asking me where I was from, I replied "im from here ?" And he replies ," really, you're not from 5th ward?" " you know collard greens and ox tails etc?" At this point I'm confused and said no and he makes a comment," what your mamma never cooked ?" Absolutely puzzled I replied that my mother is Hispanic so I didn't grow up eating soul food. I'm trying not to make a scene but at this point I'm uncomfortable and every one is starring at me. He then states he has a lot of money do I want some of it ? Of course I replied no Thankyou, finally it's my turn to be served and I express to the bartender this is my first time at this location and what would they recommend? She proceeded to tell me the drinks they offer and what would I like, such as wine beer, or alcohol. Naturally I begin to respond to her question before I can finish my sentence, she says "whatever before we get into that can I see your ID?" Of course I present my id as I know I appear young although I'm 30 years old. I receive my drink TIP and go outside to enjoy my own company and the live band. I find a table near the exit, it's packed so there are no other seats /tables available. At this point it's obvious I'm the only person with melanin in this place and minus all the stares I'm still enjoying my own company. Literally every single person who walks past me to exit grabs their belongings closer to them, holding them tighter as if I'm going to rob them as they pass me starring at me as if I don't belong, watching my every move. But wait it gets better, the same guy who approached me in line asking if I was from 5th ward approaches me yet again, this time offering me 200$ for sex. I can not make this up and this was probably the most uncomfortable I have felt in awhile, which is extremely unfortunate because the live band was awesome. for all these reasons I will never step foot in this establishment again. Not to mention this is my second review because the have deleted my review off google instead of apologizing for my encounter on their premises they would like to silence my experience here. read more
