I honestly don't know why any people in Utah would go anywhere else unless it's because these guys happen to be full or something haha. Great experiences for a long period of time with them.

Not only were they half the price quoted to me from the VW dealership, their work was fast and thorough. They clearly know their stuff. They found a few other problems while under the hood, recommended the repairs I really should make, and those I should consider soon, all without any pressure. I had a fantastic drive home to LA, and the next time my car needs serviced, I will seriously consider heading back up to Utah to see these guys and get the work done. He explained how to get there and I remembered seeing it before. Every time I've driven by it, there's been tons of cars out front so I figured it must be good. We decided to follow his advice. We pulled in to Ray Bradford Automotive and the first thing we encountered was where do we park? There's a small parking lot out front, but it was full. Luckily, we were able to park across the street in the BYU lot because you don't need a permit after 4 pm and it happened to be 4:06. We walked in to the lobby (which has 2 comfy leather sofa recliners, a big screen tv, a water filter thing where you can get a drink, magazines, lots of interesting decor) and the car man, who we later found out was Ray, the owner for 30 years, helped us out. He was very nice and efficient. We left our car overnight because he said he'd be able to check it out more in the morning. This place is in such a convenient location, walkable from home, which is really handy when your car is in the shop. It's just a block south from BYU. The next day, today, we waited for a phone call and didn't hear anything. We decided to call in the afternoon and they said our car was ready. We went to pick it up and Ray told us what they had done (cleaned out an area where the fuel wasn't able to get through) and said he wasn't going to charge us anything. He pointed to our son and said, "You've got bills to pay right there." That was unexpected and so kind of him! Thanks Ray. He said if our car was still having any trouble to bring it back to him. We will definitely be back whenever we need to get our car fixed. We had a great experience here. They had our car ready to go in the parking lot for us. I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants a personal, honest experience at an auto shop.

The most trusted mechanic I have ever had…read more This review is long overdue as we have had multiple cars serviced my Dave at DJ Auto. This particular occurrence was by happenstance or divine intervention (you decide) because I didn't even know something was wrong with my car. Dave happened to pass by me outside a lovely eating establishment in Provo while my car was still running and I was standing by it. He kindly mentioned that he noticed my valves needed loosening. Obviously I knew exactly what he meant (no, I knew nothing of what he meant!) but he offered to look at my car for free at his shop just down the street. After taking advantage of the free service, my car indeed needed a fix including the timing belt that was on it's last string. I feel like it was a blessing in disguise that he stopped me that day or the fix my car needed could've been much worse. Long story short, he took the car for 3 days, fixed all my issues, charged me a fair price, and even lent me a loaner car for free while it was in the shop. I've always feel like I am treated well here and I trust the knowledge of the mechanics.
