I have been using this big old tire store for a very long time. I have always felt that the information I have received was honest and the price was fair. I believe that they never try to sell you unneeded services for my last trip. I went in for an oil change and a transmission fluid change and they noticed a problem with one of my tires which could have caused an accident. They did not try to pressure me and they brought the tire to me to show me the problem. I trust these people with my family safety. read more

I usually do my own oil changes and had bought a new oil filter and air filter to do it myself. But since it's been so cold and wet outside and I don't have a garage I decided to take it in real quick, figured it couldn't be more than 60 bucks since I had half the supplies already! Nope! $130.90! I asked them why it was so much and they said well oil is getting expensive and we had to charge labor to throw in the air filter. They charged me 27$ in the labor of putting in an air filter.... As I said earlier I usually do it myself and thought they could just throw it in since I was there and had it. Usually takes me about 30 seconds to change the filter! So I'm glad they're worth a dollar a second for such a high skilled position of changing oil... super disappointed to see them ripping off college kids. read more

I went in to Big O today and the counter person was more interested in saving a buck then discussing my problem. I got a new set of tires 18 mos ago at Big O after an alignment. I went in today because my right rear tire was worn on the inside edge. Did I get my tires rotated frequently? Sounds like a mechanical issue. You need a set of 4 new tires. How about, "Wow, that sucks. Here's why something like that might happen. That car has a lot of miles on it, why don't you consider xyz as an alternative." I've had nothing but great experiences with every Big O I go to. Tire went flat the other day, but I have nothing left over from this paycheck to afford anything for my car. I went in saying just that. I have no money for this, but my tires aren't good. What can we do? They came back with their Acima Credit program. Super quick application, I did it within 5 minutes at the counter and was approved before my feet got tired of standing. Super high amount too! Which would be nice if I had much bigger problems but still glad to get approved for just the tires. I'm waiting for the tires to get out on now and then I'll figure out what the payment plan and stuff will be. Either way, LOVE Big O! The dude was super nice helping me too. Update on my great review, I'm super frustrated. After paying $1,500 for new tires, drove 130 miles with a sudden low tire pressure warning, my sick grandpa in my passenger seat waiting for his medication another 85 miles to go to get said medication, I got out it didn't look too flat. I tried to air it up, said it was at 38 psi. Drove home, my dad tried to air up my tire, I got off work at approximately 12:00 in the afternoon on a SUNDAY, to a completely flat tire, not sure what the process is but you'd think they wouldn't have put a busted ass valve stem on my brand new tire, couldn't even drive it to a tire shop because it wouldn't hold any air, big o in vernal drove to my house and fixed it. I always seem to get told about work that is iffy at best if I need it or not. I was quoted quite high, then Sid's Alignment did a really great job at a much lower price. Very honest folks there. Big-O seems to do a good job in general, but just be wary that something they suggest might not be needed right away. They were backed up that night though and called to tell me that they'd do it first thing in the morning. Amazing!! Had a nail puncture in my tire on my Cooper. Took it to Discount Tire and after waiting 1.5 hours they said it was impossible to fix since the nail was too close the outer part of the tire wall. They did not have the tire I needed either so I left in deep sorrow. On my way home with a tire slowly deflating, I took it to Big O Tires in Provo. Told them I need a new tire :(. They offered me the lowest price on the specific set of 4 tires I was looking for. They were friendly and weren't pushy with their sales tactics. However, a couple things I didn't love: They asked if I wanted the alignment service before my alignment was even checked. I knew they offered a free check, so I asked him to go check my alignment before I'd decide to pay for the service or not, and that doubled the duration of my wait. Overall I think I spent a little over an hour waiting. Then, once I did get my car back I noticed my center console, inside door handle and steering wheel had some dirt/grease on them. I'm meticulous about my cars condition so while this may not bother all, it's something I notice, and they could at least have the guy that drives the car out to the lot put on some clean gloves. Also just noticed they wrote my mileage down wrong on the printout-off by 800mi. Cmon guys pay attention to detail. Overall good rating though because the basic point of my trip was to get these tires installed at a decent price, and that much was accomplished. read more
