Highly recommend! We've tried maybe 5-6 other mechanics in Provo and we found this to be the best experience. We loved having after-hours drop off, and the online portal that organized everything was super helpful. Took my sisters car to get diagnosed, they wanted to keep the car and do the repair there (which she later did herself for a fraction of the cost), we said no thanks and as we are driving off the lot the car starts shaking violently which it hadn't been when we gave it to them. Homeboy comes out trying to explain that it's a problem with the spark plugs but it had been working 30 min ago. Then, no joke, another mechanic comes out with a hose in his hand that they "forgot to put back"‍ they put the hose back on and car worked great So I would avoid this place like the plague! This is the ONLY place I will ever take my car to get worked on. They're very honest. A couple days ago I took my truck in to get the brakes looked at. They felt like maybe they needed to be replaced. They pulled my truck in, took a look at the brakes, said they're totally fine, and let me drive off without paying anything! I've been going to computune for the last 5 years and they have been excellent. They have never tried to upsell me (in fact, when I went in and told them that my car was due for an expensive timing belt change, they were doubtful that my car needed it until I showed an old receipt for the last time the belt had been changed). On my wife's car, another mechanic said that a broken turn signal would cost around $600 to fix, but computune fixed it for like $30. They work fast and are friendly. Now that I've moved out of state and need an oil change, I'm wishing I had someone around who I trust as much as computune. read more

Just moved to Provo, actually Utah for that matter, and needed both the safety and emissions inspections. I saw their shop as I was driving by and dropped in. The inspections were reasonably priced and they quickly fit me into their busy schedule. There were a couple of repairs that needed to be done and the so they scheduled a time for me to come back so they could complete the repairs. When I brought it back they quickly fixed the problem. Although there was a minor "hiccup" with the part that was ordered they made it right and got me on my way (disclaimer: the "hiccup" was the fault of the part's store delivery driver, not Computune's). Again, I was fairly dealt with, the cost for the repair was reasonable, and they were friendly and professional. I have no qualms about recommending them to others; therefore, four stars. read more

I was not satisfied at all with the service given to my car. I had my oil changed from them and the moment I got it back the cars engine sounded different and the car wasn't as responsive. I took it back a few days after and told them the problem. They didn't even care and they had a technician come out, listen to the car, walk around for a few minutes and gave me nothing to work with. He told me my muffler was after market and that's why the car was louder.... My family bought the car new and we had never made or added any modifications to the car... It was clearly a stock muffler just by looking at it. The other guy working the front desk was arrogant and had zero patience to work with me. The staff was nothing to boast about. I changed my oil at a different place 4 months later and the difference in my cars performance was night and day. It runs and sounds just as it did before i took it to Computune. If you wanna keep your car alive and running for many years down the road, take it to a place that knows what they're talking about and who's willing to listen and work with you. read more

The mechanics we've dealt with before are awesome and friendly, he service is usually really quick too but the owner has awful customer service. She was completely disrespectful to her mechanic when we first arrived and after I told her what we needed fixed that day she told me that I had to leave and she would text me to come back "in a few minutes" simply because I had my daughter with me (who at the time was sitting quietly playing with her doll and not disturbing anyone). We definitely will not be going back after that unprofessional behavior. read more

This is a great shop. I found it shortly I moved here from salt lake county, and I've been coming here ever since. They are honest, hard working people. They won't beat around the bush with your car's problems, and they won't make up any problems that don't actually exist. They're kind and friendly and will do everything to make sure you are safe and satisfied. Plus when my car needed to stay a day, they let me borrow their rental. GREAT folks. This place is awful. I brought my car in when it as having trouble starting. After an hour of not being able to diagnose my problem, I left. 2 days later my car started to act up again, I brought my car back in and told them I was able to get it started after tapping my starter. After 40 minutes, they came out and said it was the starter. I paid the 250 for a new starter and was on my way. 1 hour after leaving, my car started again with the same problem. I work with a friend who know a lot about mechanics. He diagnosed it as some wiring out of place. It was fixed in 20 minutes. Computune hires unknowedgeable staff and sells you parts and labor you don't need. read more

I took my Pontiac here on the recommendation of a friend. The service was slow, but as far as I knew, competent. However, there was an endless list of additional fixes that they said the car needed and I trusted them to do it, not being a car guy myself. It was an older car and I thought it just needed more care. Then one time the car couldn't pass emissions and needed a new engine sensor. They replaced the sensor at a cost of over 600 dollars. This on top of earlier repairs that were also rather costly. I paid them and took the car but within three days, it developed an engine shudder. Nothing big, but still concerning. I took the car back in and said I would like them to check it out since they say they will guarantee the work, BUT, since I had already paid 600 dollars I simply didn't have the money to pay for any extensive repairs. I said if it was something minor wrong with the last fix that needed adjusting, please let me know, but don't take the car apart because I can't afford a major repair for another month. I want to stress that I gave explicit instructions. I was broke. And I needed the car. It was running, with a shudder but it was running. So I left the car in their care. I got a call. Bad intakes. 600 dollars. I said I don't have 600 dollars. I came in, and they acted like I would just pay the money which I didn't have. I reminded them I had told them I couldn't pay that before I dropped the car off. I was not a bottomless well and I had already PAID them 600 dollars not three days before. They acted indifferent until I told them I wanted my car back. They had apparently pulled several big parts from the engine under the assumption that I would pay and ignored all my earlier comments on not having enough money for a repair right now and needing the car for work. All I wanted was a simple check on the work they had done three days prior, just to see if it was fine and they had pulled apart the engine against my instructions assuming I would have to pay. I was upset and I wasn't going to be extorted even if I had the money. So I demanded my car back. They had to get it back together and told me to come back later. I came back later and they couldn't get it running. They said the battery needed charging, so I should come back later. I arranged to come back after five and still it would not function. So now I had paid them over 600 dollars, they wanted 600 more, I had delivered to them a functioning car, and they returned me with a non-functioning car. And after all of this, the most they would offer to do is to pay for the tow back to my house. Unbelievable. It began to wonder if this wasn't just a case of incompetence but dishonesty. They just expected me to be stuck and pay. I now suspect that most of the other extra work I had gotten earlier that they said was needed was not needed either. read more

I can't speak for the quality of service from the actual shop itself. What I can speak for, however, is the quality of the car I purchased from Connor, the son of the owners of the shop. At the end of December I purchased a used 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo from Connor for $3,200. All signs pointed to it being in good condition. Since purchasing that car slightly over 1-month ago, however, I have put an additional $2,100 into the car for repairs. First, the serpentine belt was run incorrectly and the tensioner pulley set-up wrong. The next week the water pump, fan clutch and oil pressure sensor failed. Currently, the car is in the shop with work being done on the CV joint and other parts of the front axle. If a shop that can't run a serpentine belt properly is who you want to trust your car with, by all means go ahead. As for me, I made a massive mistake doing business with this family and would highly recommend taking your business elsewhere. read more

This is an update to a review I did. I would not go here for any work. The customer service sucks and the "warranty is a joke". It all started when my wife took our 2012 Chrysler Town and Country in to get the front breaks done. They gave her a quote of around $500. She got them done and after a few days she started to tell me that they were noisy and that she thought something was wrong. I drove it but after a day of working around a very loud air compressor i couldn't here them. So she took them in and told them what was wrong they supposedly checked them out and told her they were fine. After another week went by i was driving with her and i heard the squealing and grinding sound that she had described to me. I then worked out a time were I could then go in and get them checked out. They had one of the mechanics go with me to drive it and have him listen to what was going on. After a few blocks he had more than enough to go on and could tell that it was coming from the front diver side. they took it up and said it could take some time. Later I was told that it was because my wife had ordered a cheaper kind of break and that all I would have to do to fix them is to pay a small fee to get the more expensive kind. Later when talking to my wife she said that they did not give her a choice and that those were the only opion that was given to her, even after she asked if that was the only kind she could get. I took my kids over to the Carl's JR so they could play they told me it would take only a hour or so. After a hour and a half i got my kids and went to check because they had not called me yet. They told me when i got there that they were having a hard time finding the right break pad, and to give them some more time to track them down. In short they got them done in about 2 and a half hours. I took it home thinking it was OK. It was not the grinding and squeaking was back. My wife and I both went in to get them checked out and told them that they were still grinding and that the breaks were not catching like they were supposed to. The husband then told me (the other owner) that that was the ABS kicking in and not to worry. I know how my ABS feels like when it kicks in and this was not the ABS. Not only do I know how my van fells when it is working I have been driving bigger trucks that you can easlly tell when they kick in. rather than arguing we insisted that they be checked again because we had a big trip coming up. They did and said that they were fine now. I don't know what they did but for a few days they were, however the grinding came back a few days in to our trip. When we got back I had them checked again and my wife even came down to see for her self. They took the wheel off and showed us the break pads on the front and then told us that the back rotors needed to be replaced. They said that the break pads were just noisy and that there was nothing they could do. Even though they tried to blame my wife, for getting the cheaper ones. After all of that my wife and i have not been back and will not go back. The owners were very rude and did not seem to care about the safety of the vehicle (even though they swore up and down that they do) we have since found a better shop and will go there. The techs that we worked with were nice and I hope that they will continue to be so in the future. In conclusion I would not take my vehicle to them. Either find a better shop or pay a little more for a dealer ship. All though it might be cheaper than these guys because diagnostics cost goes to the repair and they will really do what they say and honor there warranty. read more

I was recommended by a co-worker. After spending $1100 somewhere else and then being told my car still needed struts, I called around for quotes. $800-$110. Computune did them for $560. Great service, fast, and great prices. It's great to have a trustworthy mechanic now. read more

After moving here from Oregon almost a year ago, we were pleased to find a reliable place to take our car. We thought it was great until the last time we took it there. After this experience we will NOT be going back. First, they seemed too busy to bother with me when I dropped my car off. That was a small annoyance that I set aside. When I went back to pick up my car, they said our air conditioner fluid was very low so I paid to fill it up as that was our main concern (which I tried to voice during the drop off). Our air conditioner still barely works so I will have to take it elsewhere unfortunately. Whatever they added or the car was a waste of money. I got into my car and was headed home (not even a mile!) and I removed my hands from the wheel to find them BLACK!! Whoever worked on our car and/or moved it got black something ALL OVER. When I got back I realized it was on the steering wheel, all over my keys and around the key hole, all over the middle console, on the door, on our fabric seats (ruined), and along the floor board. It took my husband a solid hour+ to clean all the crap off. I'm SO glad I was wearing my black slacks or it would've ruined those too. I'm so disappointed in their unprofessionalism and general lack of concern for their clients and our (expensive) property. I will post photos in the photo section to show the damage. read more

We had a poor experience with Computune. I'll start with positives though: we are grateful they honored the 5 year warranty on their parts because it needed to be replaced only a week after they worked on it. Since then however we have gone back for other work and been frustrated with a quote one day being raised by about 120 by the next. After taking our car to a more trustworthy mechanic we found out that an expensive pump Craig told us needed to be replaced, was working just fine... Thanks, but no thanks. read more
