After coming back to the shop 3 hours later to pick it up, my car was not at the shop. Turns out they took the car to another shop in town who had the correct machines to get the job done. It would have been nice to know that ahead of time instead of seeing my car driven in to the shop from a different shop. Fast forward to now, my AC went out again several weeks ago and I'll need to take it in once more to inspect what is happening. While this service was cheaper then competitors I feel it may have been worth it in the long run to take it somewhere else because I'll end up paying more to get it done again anyway at this point.

No one made or sold that part anymore. I thought I'd have to finish my last year without a car, and then my first couple paychecks after that trying to get a newer one. The mechanics at Mitchell machined a new part and then installed it for about $20. The car saw me through commissioned officer training in the Air Force, and my young family to our first duty station on the East Coast. I spoke to Tyson at the front desk first thing Monday morning. He understood how important it was for us to get back on the road as soon as possible. Our vehicle was diagnosed very quickly and we needed a re-manufactured transmission. Tyson immediately started calling around and found one for our vehicle that could be delivered to the shop within a couple of hours. Tyson loaded up his personal truck with the belongings we needed at the hotel and gave me a ride there. The transmission was completed before the end of the business day! (way earlier than we expected) Tyson then gave me a ride from the hotel back to the shop so I could pick up our vehicle. Dean's Quality Transmissions got us back on the road to Seattle sooner than we ever expected. The bill was also much cheaper then expected. Our vehicle is still running great and we can't be more thankful for the service and quality of work we received here. Clayton checked it out and came back and said the speed sensor was bad. Not knowing what that is my mind flashed $500. Clayton said it would be $85 and it was replaced about two hours from when I got there. I felt they were fair and would not take advantage of me. My truck now has over 400,000 miles on it. I have brought my truck back several times since that first visit for a fluid change, once for a leaky line and such services. My wife, who had gotten her immigration case approved and was driving from Calgary, Canada to me in San Diego, had her water pump go out on her in Springville, UT. She was driving by herself, and this was obviously the worst kind of thing to happen. Your car breaks down in a strange town and with snow storms raging. She had stopped for gas at a Chevron station off the I-15, and when she started up the car after filing up, major noise. The girl at the Chevron called Queen Bee, and then told my wife that someone would be there in 10 minutes. Eric showed up, checked the car out to insure it was safe to drive to his shop, and then had her follow him. Mind you, he arrived at the Chevron right as his shop was closing for the day (5pm). When they got to the shop, Eric put the car on the lift, determined it was the water pump, ordered the part, and started getting the car ready for the part to be delivered. My wife was driving her car out of his shop in less than an hour and a half!! All this, after normal hours, and instead of gouging her for being in a crappy situation and really stuck, only charged $267!!!! She tried to add $50 to the bill as a means of thanking him, but he would only accept $15! (I will be sending them something more, not sure what yet) I called Eric shortly after she left to tell him how appreciative I was of his skill, honestly, and kindness. He just told me that he believes in karma and tries to help out those in need who are traveling. For those of you who live within driving distance, I would take all my car work to him. They gave me a great explanation, physically showed me what was going on, walked me through next steps and suggestions, all without pressuring to get service done through them or making me feel like it was just for sales, they genuinely helped me and had great customer care.
