Let me preface by saying I'm not a trained mechanic, but I know my car and how to use a wrench. If I didn't have time, I took it to Sorensons The good: Sorensens is a friendly, local mechanics shop that will quote what you need, fit you in quickly, and stand by their work. By my previous review, I've had good work done here before The bad: the work they've done for me since has been hit or miss, and I had to go back to have them fix mistakes. They did some work that involved draining the coolant, but they topped up my Toyota with GM coolant. I brought it back and they fixed their mistake, but after some driving I noticed a few dark black oil spots in my coolant reservoir. I did a block test myself and the engine was fine. The oil in my engine was still light colored and the head gasket is fine, so it looks very much like cross contamination from the materials they were using. Sorensons is a good value, friendly, and prompt, but make sure for yourself to double check the work they've done. read more

This family has been tending our old cars for at least 20 years, and they do a terrific job keeping them highway worthy. We're kinda "old school," believing every car should last forever. Sorensen's has kept them all going, through emissions and safety, with repairs now and then that have been very good. Our cars have taken a lot of beatings over the years. I remember one particular time with the 29 year-old van we affectionately call the Star Destroyer. It hadn't passed inspection, and they told me to buy some Sea Foam, and take it out on the freeway for about fifteen minutes to heat it up and wake up the kinks from sitting on the driveway through every kind of weather for so many years. W did it, and they were right! It passed! Now I know what to do, and the thing keeps running like a champ. We still use it for all kinds of outings, keeping the kids happy, and moving Grandmother five times in four years. These guys are top drawer, and even give us a smelly little tree car scent when we're finished. Little things count! read more

We have moved around quite a bit and when we moved away from Utah County, one of the things we missed the most was Sorensen's. We recently moved back and I cannot say enough about how much we love this shop. They are so honest and thorough. Several times it happened that we took our car in for a repair and they noticed some other minor issue that they just fixed for free. They charge way less than other shops, too. It is also nice that they don't take advantage of me because I know little about car work. I feel like I get the same treatment whether I take the car in or my husband (who knows a lot about repairing cars) does. read more

Fantastic auto repair place! I go to these guys over the dealerships any time I have the chance. They are very friendly and very honest. I've been there a few times now and have gotten to know some of the people that work there. They will tell you everything you need to know about what they are or are going to be doing to your vehicle. The price has almost always been lower than any other place I've checked. They are a friendly neighborhood business. I got a 100,000 mile check done on one of my cars and the price to do it there was half the cost of the dealership. The lady working at the desk reviewed every single thing that they were going to do and priced every item out for me. The dealerships do a ton of fluff and non-necessary stuff. I've taken a couple of cars here. Their level of workmanship varies from poor to barely acceptable. After a poor job I asked why they didn't check for other obvious problems. The owner said "what do you want me to do, look into my crystal ball ?" Total disregard for customer service and no attention to detail. If you take a vehicle here, beware. Ashley at auto shop very slow did not follow up had to call about my car 3 times. I had it over night was told it would be in rotation ,however calling at 11:00 she didn't know where it was in the process of diagnostic eval. I did not opt to have my car serviced there as I was not secure with my experience ,sorry you lost out on a few $ thousand dollar repair. read more

10 stars if I could. We've been taking our cars to Sorensons for over 10 years, and will never take them anywhere else. Nicole and her crew work fast and HONEST. We always know they'll do their best work and at the best price. A few years back I had a window that got stuck about 1 inch down. I didn't want to pay to have it fixed, so I drove around that way for a couple of years. When the big rigs would go by in the winter, I'd get plastered with freezing slush. We took that car in for an oil change, and when I drove home I noticed something was different. MY WINDOW WAS FIXED! I called Nicole and asked her about it. She said, "We noticed that and thought you might want your window up, so we fixed it." Wow! It's so nice to have a mechanic we trust. We've referred so many people to Sorensons over the years. My wife won't even let me change the oil anymore because she says they do a better job. :) read more

When we lived closer, we loved this place for our emissions and safety checks. We also brought our car here when we needed a new windshield. They were fast and friendly. They never recommended work that did not need to be done and I am glad that I found a place we could trust. We've since moved but I think we'll still be coming down for our tests. read more
