Deans rebuilt the transmission in our 1994 Ford F 1-50 5 years ago. When the transmission had problems recently after only 10,000 miles, the owner helped us out even though the warranty was passed and he gave us a very fair deal. We appreciate their integrity and honesty so much and will not go anywhere else. read more

I cannot say how grateful I am for Dean's. My tranny blew up, and I took it to a different shop to have it replaced. The other shop wanted to charge me an arm and a leg and even tried to get me to finance the exorbitant cost. A friend of mine recommended Dean's. The manager there (on his own time) looked at the diagnosis notes of the other shop and broke down everything to me--even without the guarantee that I could give him my business. Dean's saved me tons of money. He also took a test drive with me to see if everything was okay after the repairs. In this day and age it's hard to find honest, ethical, and quality work from mechanic shops. Take your vehicle to Dean's read more

I can't say enough good things about Dean's! I took my car to another shop and they quoted me thousands of dollars to fix what was "maybe" the problem. Then I took it to Dean's and they diagnosed the actual problem and fixed it the same day for a great value! Saved me so much time and money. The workers were all so kind and thorough with their work, test drives, and explaining what my money was going towards. 100/10 recommend. read more

Tyson scheduled a time to have me drop off my Jeep. I had it there when he requested and he completed the clutch work quickly. He kept me appraised of the costs as he diagnosed the problem and he and his team completed the work on time and within the estimated amount. Cost for parts/service were very reasonable. This quality of service is impressive! I'd gladly bring my next problem to them for repair. Thank you Tyson and team! read more

My friend recommended I take my 2010 Toyota Corolla into Deans, because it was having transmission issues. They looked it over and tried the cheaper options first, but it ended up needing a transmission. Unfortunately my car wasn't in the greatest shape and it would have cost more to fix than the car was worth. They ended up not charging me for their work which completely shocked me. These guys seem honest. I would highly recommend them. read more

10/10 recommend!!! I had a mishap at another shop in Lehi, BOSS automotive (don't go there, not even to have them change your lug nuts) and they put me in a weird situation. Dean's went above and beyond to help me out and get my new transmission installed and turn around time was awesome. Appreciate you guys! read more

Dean's Quality Transmissions - Transmission Repair Near Me - Spanish Fork, Utah

See all

I was driving from Canada to California December 26 and made it as far as Spanish Fork before getting a room for the night. The next day I headed out again and about 30 miles to Nephi, my transmission on my 2015 Chrysler Town and Country went into safe mode. Unsure what to do, we decided to go back to Spanish Fork to the nearest Chrysler dealership. They had a two week lineup for transmission repairs however they recommended I see Tyson at Dean's Quality Transmissions only a few blocks away. I went there and Tyson knew I was travelling and I was stuck so he did take my vehicle into his shop and did a diagnostic and found a couple of sensors were faulty. He confirmed he had in stock the sensors I needed and if need be, he would rob parts from another transmission to get me back on the road. He promised to be done by 5 pm and it was . I'm very impressed by what Tyson was able to do for me and I'm very grateful. I would highly recommend Tyson and Dean's Quality Transmission for telling me what they could do and at the price they quoted and then they delivered. read more

Oh my goodness! I can't say how grateful I am for this shop! Upon recommendation after an oil change, I called to see about having my transmission checked. Tyson invited me right over to take a look at the car, and refused to accept payment when I offered! He gave me lots of tips, and best of all reassurance. He struck me as extremely honest, willing to do whatever work is necessary but not upsell you. These are definitely the guys I will go to when I need transmission help! read more

My family and I had the best experience with Dean's. We broke down traveling through Utah, it was our transfer case. We called many others, explained our situation and still were put in line or just flat out turned away. Dean's jumped right on it, diagnosed it for free and gave us options before proceeding with repairs. They were transparent with damage and costs. Made the repairs with our blessing and had back on the road another satisfied and grateful customer! read more

I was highly impressed with the great communication by Dean's when they recently rebuilt the transmission in my car. They were recommended to me by EP Auto in Orem, which has an awesome reputation for their work and integrity. I knew when EP recommended Dean's, that they had to be solid. They didn't disappoint. The transmission is doing great, which the work done in a very timely fashion. Thanks! read more

My fiance and I were recently taking a trip from Ogdenn Utah to Las Vegas. We experianced car trouble around the spanish fork area. We were able to find this place and told them what had happened to our car. They immediately looked the car over and ran some test and to our surprise everything came back fine. We were so relived! We went to pay and they said not to worry about it just to have fun on our trip. They were so helpful and friendly and help calm our raging nerves. I appreciate all they did for us. read more

I recently went to Dean's Quality Transmissions after going to another shop in Provo to get a quote on my Dodge truck. What a refreshing experience to talk with the knowledgeable guys that helped me with my transmission. These two knew what they were talking about. This is a family shop and they were very honest with me telling me the range of options and prices to help me make a decision. There are two brothers there that learned from their Dad and have been in business for over 30 years. This was a very unexpected and expensive repair. They helped me with my decision and were able to fix it at a better price with a warranty. I felt no pressure whatsoever. I could not be happier and would recommend them to anyone. read more

We wanted to recognize and send our appreciation to the excellent work and customer service experience we had with Tyson at Dean's Transmission in Spanish Fork, Utah. We were camping there with our diesel truck and had a hole in my transfer case that needed repair. Tyson quoted me a fair price for the work but went beyond the call of duty to get us back on the road before the holiday weekend. He made sure he got the parts needed and even did some of the work himself to insure the job got done. Tyson shuttled us back and forth to our campsite while the truck was in service and was a pleasure to interact with the entire time. I have experience with difficult and notorious repair shops in the past and I feel lucky to have found Dean's when we needed them. Thank you again, Tyson! read more

VERY POOR WORK, we took our car to Dean's Quality Transmission in Spanish Fork, UT for transmission problems. They told us it needed a new one and they put it in. The car still ran badly. We took it back to them and they said that it would cost an additional amount of $100.00 an hour to try and find out what was wrong and an estimate of at least 4 hours plus parts was given. needless to say we took it to someone else to look at it. They diagnosed the problem right away, when the new transmission was put in our car the Pins on the computer hook up were broken. I would not trust them to do any honest work. read more

Incredible customer service! My family road trip took a nasty turn when our transmission went out on us in Utah on our way home to Seattle. I spoke to Tyson at the front desk first thing Monday morning. He understood how important it was for us to get back on the road as soon as possible. Our vehicle was diagnosed very quickly and we needed a re-manufactured transmission. Tyson immediately started calling around and found one for our vehicle that could be delivered to the shop within a couple of hours. Tyson loaded up his personal truck with the belongings we needed at the hotel and gave me a ride there. The transmission was completed before the end of the business day! (way earlier than we expected) Tyson then gave me a ride from the hotel back to the shop so I could pick up our vehicle. Dean's Quality Transmissions got us back on the road to Seattle sooner than we ever expected. The bill was also much cheaper then expected. Our vehicle is still running great and we can't be more thankful for the service and quality of work we received here. This is a true testament to the kind of people working at Dean's Quality Transmission. They don't only care about your vehicle, they truly care about you as well. read more

I can not say enough good things about this business. This is my third time over the years when I have had to have major repairs on our vehicles. Dean's Sons are doing a fabulous job since his retirement and are doing business just like their Dad did. They were a pleasure to work with and did my transmission rebuild at a fair price and completed the repair on time, just like the two previous times. Tyson kept me informed throughout the whole process and even gave me a ride home. They presented me with different options for my repair and explained everything to me. I felt no pressure and was happy with my choice to have them rebuild my transmission for my truck. They were able to offer upgrades with that option and it was still less money than a remanufactured transmission would have cost. I would recommend these guys to anyone. They are very knowledgeable and their customer service is excellent. read more

Buyer Beware!!! I had the misfortune of having Deans Quality Transmissions work on my truck. I stopped in and asked them if they could check out a noise I thought was coming from the front differential. They told me it was an axle joint and they could fix it. After they started and the wheel and axle were all taken apart they told me I needed more parts, of which I obviously needed to comply with at the time. I got the truck back, and payed inflated costs above and beyond the original estimate. Immediately, there was a bad leak on the axle they worked on. The leak had never been there before. I brought it right back to show them. The shop manager told me it was a seal that was leaking that they don't have the tools to change. I asked them why they even took it apart if they didn't have the parts to do the job completely. my concerns were shrugged off as no concern on they're part. I had another shop look at the repaired axle and the entire job has to be redone to correct the leak. I called Deans back to inform them of the situation and I was greeted with a hang up by the manager!!! I'll never be back there and encourage others to stay away!! read more
