Tried a few dishes at Maple Bacon Restaurant, including the Chicken & Apple Dumpling Waffle--stacked and flavorful. Paired it with a Hazelnut Latte, it was ok. Overall, the food is simple and satisfying, and while the service was okay, it got the job done.

First visit to Maple Bacon on a Saturday morning, no wait, which was a nice surprise. Service was friendly and fast, which we appreciated. I ordered the chicken fried steak, and while the breading was solid and crispy, the steak itself lacked flavor. There needs to be more going on than just the batter, seasoning, tenderness, something to bring it together. The potatoes on the side were pretty meh too, definitely not memorable. They were just thick and not crispy. And even though there was a ton of seasoning, there wasn't a ton of flavor. Prices were fair for the portion sizes, so there's value there, but overall, it felt pretty middle of the road. They seem to think they're a standout spot, but the experience didn't quite back that up. Came with my wife and we both left feeling like it was just okay. Not bad, not great, just... fine. Probably wouldn't go out of our way to return.

Their portion sizes were huge! Most brunch restaurants are very packed with long lines but there was no wait at this location. We went around 11AM on a Saturday morning. This restaurant is very convenient if you want breakfast and most of their menu are diner foods. They had tables and the service was quick. They didn't too mayn decors to contribute to the ambiance. We ordered the Southern Fried Chicken & Sausage Waffles and shared it between two people because of the portion sizes. Overall, their breakfast menu was extensive and if you want a breakfast that satisfies the craving, this is the place.

Was in the area and was hungry, we stopped in this very nice and clean place for brunch. Had the burrito and pancake, wife had an omelette, and daughter had the chilequiles, and coffees. All were delicious and had excellent service.

Okay - the food is AMAZING here! Decided to treat myself to weekday brunch after a doctor's visit. The menu is beyond expansive with something for everyone. My only complaint...the prices! It was $30 after tip for ONE person! Granted 2 people could have shared the meal. Service was great too.

I got the garden benedict with house made fries. The fries were delicious. My partner got eggs, bacon and toast with a side of hash browns. The hash browns were not crispy, and the toast was bland. At least the bacon was still yummy. The prices are expensive. It seems some dishes taste way better than others. Fast service. They didn't have hand grinders for the salt and pepper, just regular salt and pepper.

Don't worry about getting overcooked scrambled eggs here. They have pros cooking in the kitchen. Highly recommend for great breakfast. Staff is friendly and attentive. Got the delicious farmers skillet with rye toast. Much needed after a nice at walk at the nearby nature preserve.

We came here to try this place. We had a very high expectation. First, I will point out the positives. There are so many breakfast items and also have lunch menus. Drink menu is very extensive. We had strawberry lemonade and it was delicious. They have cocktail menu for those who drink alcoholic drinks. Inside the restaurant is very nice and spacious. Now the negative part, I ordered Migas Fiesta. I'm not a trained chef, but I've eaten enough Migas to know that what Migas supposed to look. This Migas looked more like Migas Nachos with eggs and I'm not a fan of Nachos. The eggs and jalapenos were good and so was the salsa. Avocado was green and not ripe and potatoes were unappetizing. Where were my warm tortillas???? You don't put mozzarella cheese on Mexican food! PB's lox should had been open faced with equal amount of lox and cream cheese and bagel should be toasted. There should had been more pickle spears! Clam chowder should had been filled more, not 70% and cheddar cheese should not had been on the soup and also, oyster crackers and not saltine crackers. Also, we asked our server Maylen 2 times if we could have more strawberry lemonade to go and she didn't deliver, so we left after we paid. I left her $10 tip, but I should had left her 10%, bc I didn't think she did a good job serving us. I'm a generous tipper when servers are friendly, attentive and do a great job serving us, but if they're not, they get 10%. I also must mention that it's very expensive for the amount of food we got. We regret coming here, bc we usually go to Pancake House or Cindi's and we get great food and service. We won't be coming back here. I think it was the worst experience!

Came here for a birthday brunch & Melissa was amazing! Great personality and service. Everything was delicious and perfect temperature. I ordered the Cajun Shrimp Omelette and the pineapple upside down pancakes with the Hummingbird. I highly recommend alll! Great flavor. I absolutely would recommend this establishment and cannot wait to return to try other menu items.

2024 Yelp 100 Challenge - #32 Service was great. Food was bland. The menu is a bit overbearing with many options to choose from. I saw photos of the mountain sunrise and was excited to give it a try. Ordered Sunrise Mountain French Toast - It comes with french toast strawberries, whipped cream, chicken tenders, bacon, and a donut that is not made in house. To me the strawberries made the french toast to mushy and the chicken tenders were bland. I only ate a few bites out of my food because it just wasn't the best.

This new restaurant has a Canadian flavor, which gives it a unique quality. They have a wide-ranging menu, with many "comfort food" items. My husband and I went for dinner recently and we really enjoyed it. The biggest problem is choosing your selection because there are many great-sounding things to choose from. Stacy helped us with the menu and made great suggestions. We will definitely be returning to Maple Bacon! And ask for Stacy - she's great. read more

This was my 1st time here and I was not impressed!! The food is over priced and wasn't that good! I ordered the Southern Fried Chicken & Sausage Waffle. The biscuit on top was burnt, and the Chicken Breast was under cooked. The runners were taking food to the wrong tables and customer service wasn't that great!!! read more

Went for the first time after they reopened a couple of days ago (post covid-19 restrictions). They have a great menu with lots of meals with variety. The three of us had pancakes, omelets, eggs, bacon, and biscuits. All really good and worthy of a return trip. Also really like the bold coffee and our waitress Cindy was so helpful. Walked in on New Year's Day at 1:30. Restaurant was half empty. After waiting five mins at an empty hostess stand, a woman walked up and her greeting was "I know we have empty tables but the owner told me not to seat anyone until she says so.... at least a 20-30 min wait. Well happy new year to you too Maple Bacon. An opportunity to welcome patrons to your new restaurant and our first impression in an unwelcome, disorganized atmosphere. New Year's brunch was your opportunity to shine. Sadly, we walked out with no appetite for whatever you're serving. Good luck. read more

I come at least once a week. Service is great!! I usually get Cindy, she is super friendly! Everything I have had it SOOOOO good! I love the blueberry cheese cake pancakes!! Today I decided to get the Pasta Bolognese it was so delicious. You can tell is fresh and made from scratch!! Honestly I don't think you can make a wrong choice off the menu!!! read more

We came to Planio from California. My daughter wanted to try a place she had heard of maple bacon. It was great. We had the waffles and Bacon. I just had lunch at Maple Bacon Restaurant in Plano, Texas. The entire experience was exceptional!! There were nine people in our party, and everyone ordered something different so we were able to sample many dishes. The food was made from scratch in restaurant by an outstanding chef. Our waitress, Cindy, was very thoughtful and attentive. The owner came to greet us at our table and surprised us at the end of our meal with a large selection of delicious desserts. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who would like the highest quality food, great service, and a very fair price. It is five stars. read more

Wonderful breakfast! The food was delicious, wait staff very friendly, and service was great. I enjoyed looking around to see what other people had ordered as food was brought to the tables around me. Such creativity! With so many good breakfast places to choose from in my area, I rarely travel very far when I go out for breakfast, but this place is well worth the drive across town! And there was no wait at 10 AM on a Sunday morning, but I imagine that will change as word gets out. I will definitely be going back, again and again. read more

My wife and I tried Maple Bacon this morning, and it was great!! Food was excellent. We started off with a classic poutine which was traditional and delicious. I had eggs Benedict which were tasty, and the best were the pancakes. My wife enjoyed her waffles and eggs as well. The service was excellent - waitress thoughtfully put in the poutine and brought out well before rest of the food. Multiple people came by to check on us. We'll definitely be back! read more

Wonderful food and service! Came on Sunday for brunch, we had a short wait but worth it! The servings were huge and delicious, plenty left over to take home. Awesome kitchen and great waitstaff. Start with hot chocolate served with whipped cream. Not something from a spray can, but freshly made applied from a pastry bag, and topped with chocolate chips. I'd go there just for a cup. Food was also well above par, although I only got to check french toast, chicken and bacon. They go an extra yard with presentation of signature dishes and they tasted as good as they looked. Walked away full, but wanting more. read more

Second time here. Both times, service was terrible. Completely unaware of basic customer service. Second time, brought out the wrong order, and I couldn't get anyone's attention to come switch it out. I ate two of the items on the plate and they finally came out when I was finished. Asked if I wanted the original dish I ordered. Ummm, no. I have already eaten. So she says she will see what she can do. Comes back later and says she would only charge me for the three items I ate. WHAT?!?!?! Should have comped the meal. Ridiculous. Also, the food itself is not that good. So after giving them a shot the second time, I would definitely say don't waste your time and money here. read more

the service is not good at all , we went in at 9:30 and didn't get seated until 11 many parties got seated before us! the food took forever many table after us got there food first .. our drinks were empty for 20min and the waiters and host had attitudes and were not in any hurry to get us seated read more

Shepherd's pie was absolutely disgusting- meat had soured and was cold as the day is long. I couldn't ask for it to be remade because my waitress never came back to touch the table. I had a coupon that brought the bill down to $50 thank god, but it wasn't worth 5 cents. Won't be back. One and done. Only go here to get snookerfaced people!

People are desperate for ANYTHING that's not a chain even if the food is mediocre. We drove from north Dallas and won't do that again.

I recently visited Maple Bacon for the first time and unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations. From the moment I walked in, I noticed the lackluster customer service. The staff seemed disinterested and did not provide the friendly and attentive service one would hope for. To make matters worse, the food itself was a letdown. The main issue was that my order arrived cold. Nothing is more disappointing than eagerly anticipating a hot and delicious meal, only to be served with lukewarm food. It was evident that the dish had been sitting for a while before reaching my table. Furthermore, the lack of proper seasoning was apparent in every bite. The flavors were bland and lacked the depth and richness that I had hoped for. I was left craving the distinct taste that Maple Bacon is known for, but unfortunately, it was absent from my plate. While I understand that every restaurant can have an off day, it was disappointing to experience such a lack of attention to detail. The cold food and subpar seasoning not only affected the overall taste but also left me with a sense of dissatisfaction. Given this underwhelming experience, I am hesitant to recommend Maple Bacon based on my first visit. I cannot say enough good things about Maple Bacon Restaurant in Plano, Texas! My family and I have dined there twice now and we have been blown away both times. The portions are incredibly hearty and provide excellent value for the price. The star of the show, of course, is the bacon. Maple Bacon Restaurant knows how to cook bacon to perfection, with just the right amount of crispiness and smokiness. But their menu offers so much more than just bacon - their pancakes are some of the best we've ever had, and my youngest daughter simply can't get enough of them. I visited Maple Bacon Restaurant on a busy Sunday for breakfast and brunch. After placing our order, we waited 40 minutes before checking with our waiter about our food. He quickly went to the kitchen and discovered they were experiencing network issues, so our order hadn't been processed. Despite the initial delay, the waiter was extremely courteous, apologizing multiple times and even offering us a discount for the inconvenience. We ordered the corned beef skillet and the Cambridge, and both dishes were good with generous portions. Overall, it was a decent experience. The excellent service and tasty food made up for the initial hiccup. We'll likely give it another try, hopefully on a less busy day. read more

I waited by the door for 7 minutes while 10 employees stared at me before anyone sat me at a table. Service was minimal. I was told they had a gluten free breakfast menu over the phone and when I got there they actually only made one thing gluten free- their French toast. If you're going to operate a restaurant and stay in business when you're located next to Whiskey Cake you're going to have to step up your service immensely. Went here for the first time with a buddy of mine just this morning. I should give them a 1 star review for ruining my diet and New Year's Resolution - but that is my fault not their's. This place is great. The service was great - she kept filling up our coffee the whole morning. Even though it was just me and my buddy, and the place became packed, we weren't rushed one bit. Came here with my husband a week or so ago. Food was amazing. The restaurant is definitely having some opening week issues but all restaurants have that. Service was good and managers seemed to be aware of and on top of issues. In a month this place will be at full speed! Abby at the door was very friendly and helpful.
