Love these guys! They helped me free up space from when I moved into an apartment from a house, and also when I needed other boxes moved out. They've been able to take out a ton of boxes, a treadmill, a rowing machine, and a lot of bins. Even when I thought a job would be a big deal, they were really professional and awesome. I used their service twice. My first time was good, no problem. That is why I decided to try them for the second time. But, my second experience was awful! I reserved them for the last day of the month, my move out day. I planned a trip starting exactly after the move-out. However, they called me exactly one day before the schedule just to tell me that they cannot do it! They canceled their service just one day before moving. I had to cancel my plan and postpone everything for a day because I could not find any other mover, and they agreed to do my move out with one day delay. The move out day was even worse. Their staff did not want to take some of our staff, because we did not add them to their calculation list! There was no fan in their calculation list, and that is why I could not add the fan to their calculation list. I ended up throwing some of my stuff away. I even could not donate them because I had to rush to get to my trip. I do not recommend their service to anybody. read more

This business model is not meant for whole house storage. Beware if that is what you're looking for. We needed to store all our household items for a year during a remodel. We had a long conversation with the MakeSpace sales person to determine if they could truly pick up and safely store a household worth of furniture as we had never heard of the company before. The day of the pickup was truly epic. The movers showed up late with a full moving van. They weren't told it was a whole house. It took them some 7 hours, multiple trips and several different crews to pick up our 2bedroom house worth of items. A few days later and we had the first call about damaged items. Broken glass table top. Fast forward 1 year, time to deliver all our stuff. They show up late. They take another 5+ hours to put the stuff in the front room. They take 3 items upstairs and the walls are dinged, gouged and scratched. More broken glass, this time an entire shelf system. Fabric on the sofa is torn. Plastic totes and boxes are smashed or cracked. And the icing on the cake, their free totes that they encourage you to use, must be unpacked at the time of delivery otherwise there is another fee to come pick them up. Then, when I walk through all of this with customer service I get a lot of talk back about policy and procedure. And a real lack of acknowledgement that these are personal items, some irreplaceable. I wished I'd done more homework before making this vastly important choice. I would have definitely chosen a different company. read more

The MakeSpace team members were friendly, fast, helpful, and organized. They helped make moving feel like something I could handle instead of an impossible task. I had two different teams come out to my house to help with my move. Each team member was friendly and funny, but also maintained a level of professionalism that helped me trust that my belongings were headed someplace safe. I also loved that MakeSpace provided all of the supplies I needed for packing & moving without "nickel and dime-ing" me for each item like many other companies do. They provided as many totes and containers as I needed, all completely free of charge. The very few items they do charge for, like protective bags for mattresses, are very reasonably priced--no more expensive than I could find for sale online. Cost was very important to me because I recently transitioned from living with two incomes, to divorcing my ex who works in the IT sector. Now I'm in a situation where one payment to my divorce attorney wipes out an entire paycheck for me. MakeSpace was able to work with my budget and told me ahead of time what I would be charged for, how much I would be charged, and when each payment would be charged to my account. I'm still not sure how MakeSpace is able to be so affordable--but I'm not about to question a good thing! The main reason I chose MakeSpace is because I knew I physically would not be able to move my belongings into a moving truck or storage unit on my own. I'm going through a divorce, so it is just me moving my things out. Also, since I was injured in a car accident a few years ago, I can't lift any heavy items or do more than an hour or two of packing at a time before excruciating neck & upper back pain set in. The MakeSpace team members took care of all the heavy lifting for me, carefully wrapped anything fragile or valuable, and loaded all totes & containers into their truck for me. They double-checked with me before they loaded any furniture or items of value to make sure each item belonged to me and not my ex. Finally, they carefully documented all of my belongings and created a photo inventory for me, which I can now scroll through using their smart phone app. Newly single? Chronic back & neck pain? Overall I think the service is ok. We needed temporary storage for our 3 bedroom home. MakeSpace fit the bill and got the job done... However, we did not get every part of the service we were promised. Firstly they send you tote bags to store your things in until the day of the move, then they transfer the bags into plastic bins. We never saw one bin!!!! So as far as we know our things were transported and stored in a warehouse just in flimsy bags. Subsequently when our things were returned several glass pieces were broken because the bags had just been stacked on top of each other. Other things came back dirty! Also there were several things in our initial intake that we were told they could store, but on move day we were told their policy had changed. This left us scrambling for a place to store larger items last minute. All the branding you see on their website for bins, trucks and green moving blankets... don't expect that. Movers looked like contractors and did not have any MakeSpace gear at all. I was legit confused as to who they were when they showed up both times! Like i said they got the job done for relatively cheap, but you get what you pay for. So... I wouldn't use this service again. read more

I had really great service the day of my original pick up, however, I attempted to pick up items from the warehouse and called informing the company that the two items I specifically wanted to pick up were not shown on my photo inventory online. They told me they would search boxes, the day of my pickup arrived and I showed up to the warehouse with very confused staff who did not have the items I requested. I emailed regarding my situation and after a week of searching, they came up with nothing. I was instructed to make file a claim. Keep in mind my items were a Dyson vacuum cleaner and a Haan steam mop, not cheap items. The response: after an exhaustive attempt to locate your items there is no record of it in inventory---the kicker, here is $60 with won't even cover a month of storage with them. Mina was one of my movers, the other I don't remember, but I even gifted one of them a pretty nice modern fireplace. The thanks I get is not logging my items correctly and screwing me over for $500 bucks worth of appliances. read more

After the initial contact/pick-up I ended up w/ about 6 phone numbers; after 2 days of trying all of them, leaving messages, trying every 'option', I never reached a live person or a response to messages. Update 07/31: Makespace said that under the terms of service they are not liable for damages in fragile items. This is a very odd argument for a company that is paid to store household items. Worst of all, the crew that came to my house to pick up stuff saw all the labels saying fragile and the contents (including their manager, Carlos) and no one advised or expressed concerns on the risks. Clearly, in the way my goods were broken they were not careful in transit or in storing. So, if you have bricks to store, go ahead with them. But if you have something that you care about, stay away. Update 07/27: Makespace made me an "offer" today. They would give me 50 dollars on top of what they deemed to be the fair price of my damage, 30 dollars. This is less than half of my losses. And they want me to stop posting anything bad about them. So, be advised: they break your stuff, they will not reimburse you and they'll try to buy your silence. STAY AWAY!!!! Worst storage company possible. Get away from them. You expect a storage company would secure your belongings while in their custody. We had 11 items broken/damaged with them, in several different containers. Tried to reach customer service last Monday and no answer yet. The convenience of the service Makespace provides is offset by the damage they inflict on your furniture. Unless they improve on the quality control of furniture in their care I would recommend you think twice before using them. During the 3 months our antique mid-century dining table was with Makespace, one edge was crushed. Although the Makespace team had wrapped everything in furniture pads and plastic, this level of "protection" proved paltry when our 60 year old table was subjected to blunt force trauma. Perhaps it is par for the course for such a service but I will never use Makespace again. I suggest if you do use them, to only give them items you can easily replace. There is a high likelihood that you won't receive your furniture in the same condition as when you handed it over. read more

Carlos and Kevin were great and friendly during my entire move! They were careful and meticulous in how they packed my furniture and transferred my items into the truck. They were scheduled to arrive sometime between 12pm-3pm window, and I received a text at 11:45am saying they were 15 minutes away, and they arrived at noon on the dot! Overall, the scheduling and moving was extremely convenient (I've moved cities and apartments almost every year in my adult life), probably the best experience I've had thus far. I'll have to update my review once I actually get all my items delivered (e.g. were any of my items damaged in storage, did anything get lost or damaged during transit, any unexpected/hidden charges, ease of scheduling delivery), but process so far has been great. Man I really wanted to give these folks a high rating. The service is a great concept. I put my stuff in storage with them while quarantined with my family. The first movers showed up and one was not wearing a mask in my apt. The mover who came in at my new place was a delight but as I unwrapped my furniture it literally fell apart. Most of my large items were so damaged I had to have them taken to the trash/I spent hours trying to put the things back together and cover the damage that was made. Even my spin bike seat was torn. My bed was disassembled and unrepairable. Also they showed up over 24 hours after my appointment. The customer service person I talked to was a delight and they did pay for me to get an air mattress but it was rough beyond that. I think their customer service is good but the actual service which included stickers placed on my items that damaged them is not. Also I'm missing several items. I've opened claims and am waiting to hear back. read more

They were super helpful wrapping all of our furniture. They tagged everything with QR code's for tracking each item. It was loaded and ready to go in just a few hours. This is my first moving service I've used- and it won't be my last!! It is so convenient to have them pick it up, itemize it and store it all without having to make the trek to the storage unit. Noor and Vasa In Seattle were punctual, polite, competent and packaged my belongings safely if I didn't cover the basis first. Do not use this service. You will get ripped off on storage delivery. I'm still trying to figure out how I'm getting charged 4x more to return my items than what I pay for storage. I got charged $500 bucks TWICE for two deliveries plus a $59 delivery fee and I only pay $219 for my storage. When I signed up it was a free hour of delivery , what happened? Feedback is for customer service. Until an appointment was booked I was getting daily calls. Once they picked my stuff, it is impossible to reach them. I have been trying for a week, have left message but nobody would call back. A leather sofa that was not part of the storage request was scratched in the process of picking stuff up from our place. Our movers, Arron and Moevasa, did a great job---very professional and careful with our items. The most frustrating thing about makespace has been their answering service as you just get the same recording over and over no matter which of their numbers you use the answering system rarely leads to resolution or a real person. But when you do manage to get someone on the phone, they are helpful and courteous. I don't know if we will run into any problems when we need to get our items out of storage, but from the great packing bags to the excellent moving team, so far we are happy with our Makespace experience in Bellevue WA. I emailed with Jared for a bit asking questions, and he was more than helpful!My pickup time was between 12-3 and Mina, Carlos and Vasa were there right around noon! They were very friendly and Mina walked me through the process of tagging my stuff so I can view it online later. Overall they were there for about an hour. Quick, courteous service. BEWARE!!! My husband and I booked their storage service for our furniture while we were renovating our home. When we signed up, it was clear that there would be a $59 charge for pick up and delivery of our items. It was mentioned on their site that this fee was only for your first pick up/delivery and any services after that would be an additional charge. We of course also paid a monthly fee to store our stuff of $167/mo. When the time came for them to deliver our items, all went well... until the next day. The next day we received a charge on our credit card for $770 for the delivery!!!!!!! We immediately called them and they said they sent two emails stating their price changes. We never received these emails - I even checked our spam folder. Customer service said that there was nothing they can do that it says in their contact that "prices our subject to change" and offered us a $50 refund. I said "Absolutely not"! A manager called and eventually gave us a $400 refund. I still don't feel we were treated appropriately or respectfully and I feel that this company is crooked and I will never recommend them to a friend. read more
