Cleanliness was a big issue when we ate here, even after an employee wiped our table with his filthy rag. There was water spilled on the bench and all over the floor. The table remained sticky. Also, there were food issues. The halibut might have been good if they hadn't been out of tartar sauce, a fact they certainly should have mentioned when I ordered. The turkey club was good, but the mashed potatoes were a disappointment. I added two stars to what would have been a one-star review solely for the battered fries. They were fantastic. read more

Love their breakfast, specifically the French toast with the delicious buttermilk syrup! The breakfast I would definitely give it four stars, anything else on the menu would probably get a two. This is the place to go if you want a breakfast date, if you're going for lunch or dinner and are getting something other than breakfast I probably wouldn't recommend it. read more

Every table was dirty when I came in. Yucky mucky hand prints all over windows and front door, and there was just one other customer eating, so there was certainly time to clean. Also, was approached by a teenager asking to film me and ask a question for a documentary. Not my idea of a relaxing salad while my son was at tutoring next door and definitely not worth the $10.76 for a drink and a salad. Will just stop for fast food next time and eat in the car or go to a chain where they keep their restaurant clean. read more

The food here COULD be AMAZING! But it isn't. Here are some things to think about: 1. There are 5 entres....3 are fish....why? We live in Utah right? And is this a seafood restaurant? 2. I ordered the Beef n Blue cheese salad. The lettuce if fine chopped and hard to eat with a fork. The spines of the lettuce are not great to eat....but they include them all in the salad....less flavorful than it could or should be.....the beef should be hot...but it isn't. The blue cheese should have some chunks....but it doesn't. 3. I ordered the carrot cake....good....maybe even great....moist, a bit too much frosting for me....but pretty good. 4. I ordered the Fish n Chips. GREASY! I had a bowl of grease! The fish was extremely greasy and the fish sticks were 50% breading. Less breading....less grease...more fish! If you want good fish n chips go to Purple Turtle or JCW's in the same area. 5. I ordered French Fries....greasy....but ok 6. The French Toast is ok....but kept "warm" and not nice and hot or fresh. The "syrup" is some type of carmel....they tried to copy Kneaders....but is STINKS....it is weird....just use Mrs. Butterworths. 7. The rolls are supposed to be amazing....but they aren't. They are ok. They need butter. Crazy bread from Little Ceasars is better. The twist rolls from Pizza Factory are better....the bread sticks from Olive Garden have more flavor. So, they are crusted with cheese and herbs....but lacking butter....and often brought out cold. Also consider these items: 1. The restaurant is fairly clean.....but not really....they leave tables dirty for 30 minutes or more. They don't sweep.....and you can see that the kitchen is dirty....not cluttered....just not sanitized...dripping grease...food on the floor...etc. 2. The staff act as if they are disappointed you have shown up. They are often slow.....and sow the staff looks really disappointed that they have to work when you walk in. 3. There is a "office" by the kitchen. They walk in and out of there constantly. They spend a lot of time surfing on the net....giggling...etc....instead of cleaning the dirty tables.....sweeping the dirty floor....etc 4. Whats up with all the dead plants? Water them! If you cant keep your live plants alive with water then how am I supposed to trust you with cooking food? Really, it looks so trashy! Obviously the original owners are dead....because whomever runs the place now....doesn't care if the business goes on. I hope it gets better....because the food was good.....years ago! read more

After waiting 30 minutes the breakfast burritos came out cold, one had no bacon. The caramelized side bacon kills all the normal bacon flavor. The French toast platters came out without the strawberries and cream. And the service sucked, not even an apology. Go to Kneaders just to the south. Their French toast is worth the money, and they are always nice. What a waste of $47!! read more

I ordered the Denver omelette, being VERY specific in telling the cashier I Did Not want ANY bacon or ham in my order. I reiterated that I did not want ANY meat in my order. I told him I was a vegetarian for extra emphasis. I don't know how much more clear I could be. But when I got my order (after waiting a half hour), there was a huge strip of greasy BACON laying on my food!! I returned it & asked for my money back because I did not have time to wait for them to make another order! The cashier tried to take the bacon off when I showed him. My wife and I try to go here whenever we can for breakfast. I recommend the French Toast Platter (make sure you specify "platter" otherwise it's just a plate with a couple French toast on it). The food is always great but the wait is a little longer than regular fast food places, obviously. I have been meaning to give a 5 star review before now but I'm glad I didn't. This morning we waited about an hour and when our food came out it was already cold. Again, this is usually a great place to go with delicious food but we were not too happy about this mornings experience. read more

Magelby's Fresh has in the past been one of our family's favorite places the dine. However, recently I ordered the fish & chips on two different occasions. Once last year and again just yesterday. The first time I ordered I thought that the cook had just made a bad batch of fish. I ate it in spite of the fact that it was mostly breading and very little fish. So yesterday I went back with other members of my family. I order the fish & chips again just to see what I would get this time. When they brought my food I could tell just by looking at that I was getting once again just what I had gotten before, fish flavored breading. This time i didn't eat any of the food I just tried to find the fish by removing the breading. It became immediately evident that once again their was very little fish, but a whole plate full of breading. Before even ordering I had actually told the girl taking the orders of my last experience with fish & chips and made it clear that I expected fish with the breading. I took the order back and showed them all the breading and the very small amount of fish. They made up a new order and finally brought it to me after all the other members of our group had mostly finished eating. Again, I could tell just looking at it that I was getting exactly the same thing, fish flavored breading. This time I ate what little fish there was and a few fries removing all of the breading to reveal just how much breading there was. By that time I had lost my appetite. Once again I took the plate back to the kitchen and and showed them all the breading and expressed my dissatisfaction in the so called fish & chips. We went there because the better place nearby was packed. Disappointed once again. If you want the all-you-can-eat eat french toast plan on being there waiting forever for your 2nd serving. The omelets are tiny, tasted good but not worth the price. In my opinion, this place is going to go under due to poor management. read more

Terrible wait. Understaffed restaurant. Food took an hour to get to us. Ridiculous!!!!!

Disappointment sums up our experience. I ordered the salmon and pilaf. The salmon was dry and over cooked. The pilaf had more than a hint of freezer-burn. My wife verified the same. The breadstick and alfredo were not fresh and the alfredo tasted as if from a can. Cream of broccoli soup was unappealing. Disappointment all the way around. I suppose the cake would be "the best in state" given what we ate today. For what it's worth, the restaurant was clean and staff were helpful. read more

First time & while the wait was a tad long the server informed me that one of the cooks called out and how apologetic they were about the wait. I also ordered to-go and while waiting they let me know they were making my food which also helped with the little wait time. Friendly staff & you can tell that they are all working to give great service (especially because they have glass windows into their kitchen showing how hard they are working). Sooooo Good! The French Toast with buttermilk syrup is my favorite for breakfast! Friendly, hard-working staff, and I didnt have to wait long at all and almost all the seating was full when I was there. The stuffed breadstick, blackened chicken pasta, and chicken salad sandwich are my top 3 options for lunch. You can't beat their fries, and the ranch dressing is heavenly. My wife and I love eating here because it's about the same cost as expensive fast food but is way better. We get the soup and salad option most of the time. The soups and breadsticks that come with it are awesome, and I love the salads. This is not an expensive gourmet restaurant. Go to the main Magleby's for that. This is an inexpensive awesome alternative with very good food at an extremely reasonable price. read more

Worst experience ever! We ordered and were there with two kids, after 20 minutes of no food I went and asked them what was taking so long, They forgot my order! 15 minutes later they brought it out and forgot my wife's entree completely! They were very unapologetic and did hardly anything. Never ever go here! Portions are small food is over priced! read more

So sad that this Magelbys Fresh experience was just not good for us. Bread for my sandwich was so dry it made the sandwich inedible. I told the manager who said they would check if the bread was left open...thanks, didn't help me! Also, our bread sticks were "in the oven and out in a minute" but we didn't get them until we asked for them while we were getting ready to leave. Chocolate cake wasn't available because it was still frozen...just awful experience today. Most likely will never go back-go to the one in Provo-they care about their customers! read more

This one in Lindon is just not very good or clean for whatever reason. The chef there, a guy with glasses and mustache has terrible attitude and it shows. It's turned into a typical, " We DO NOT do this or that". Just charge extra if you need to, don't lower your standards. Omelet was cold but the french toast was hot. Long waits and they are not very busy at all. There lunch time waits are 25 to 40 minutes I expect this location to close soon. The one is Provo is much better. read more

The Lindon store does not compare to the food and service I remember at the Provo store. The fish n chips has a small piece of halibut and thick batter. In the last week and a half, 3 days out of 4 they had no chocolate cake. I thought that that was their specialty. It is not like they serve it the same day. They freeze it and let it thaw to serve. How can they not stock up. Their menu as a whole is over priced for the quality. Not worth my time to go any more. read more
