I used to love meters but as of the last few months, they've shrunk a lot of their food and they put almost no turkey on their sandwiches. Today I got one and it literally has two bites of the entire sandwich that has turkey on it. And when you look in the app, it says you can leave feedback but when you click the feedback button, it doesn't even give you an option to add anything only to submit it. My friend and I ate breakfast at the new location in Pleasant Grove and we were sorely disappointed! While the store itself is very attractive, not much else was worthwhile. We're used to ordering at the counter but the employee there barely knew anything about the menu and seemed disinterested in figuring out how to help us. I know Kneader's used to offer breakfast à la carte but it seems no more. Have a breakfast sandwich or you can "eat cake"! I love coming to Utah. I head out this way several times a year for my job, and I never cease to be amazed by the undulating flatlands that are edged with sharp triangled mountains capped with white frosting. Stunning. Salt Lake City offers a lot of wonderful places to eat as does Lehi and Provo. These are my stomping grounds when I'm here. When I'm traveling, I like to find places to eat that are a great experience, locally owned, and off the beaten path. But Kneaders is my guilty pleasure. Family owned, there's 56 franchised locations in the area and surrounding states. I sure wish they'd come to the Ohio Midwest. When you eat their food, it feels like you're eating at a small locally owned deli that takes great pride in their bread, baked goods, meats, soups, and drinks. My favorite thing is the all you can eat French toast with strawberry compote on the side and fresh whip cream topped with homemade caramel syrup. Seriously. Yesterday I had driven four hours and was ready for some food, but wanted to do a drive-through. I hate drive-through food, but sometimes you don't want to go inside and sit down and eat because you're exhausted and just want to get to your hotel. Kneaders removes my drive-through guilt. I knew that I was going to get an above and beyond meal for dinner. I ordered a cup of beef stew, a turkey, bacon and avocado sandwich on cheesy focaccia bread, and a Chocolate Dome. I also ordered an almond croissant for breakfast the next day. I got to my hotel, unpacked, settled in, laid out my meal on the desk and instantly felt my whole body, relax and unwind. The beef stew had a savory velvety base with huge hunks of tender pot roast. I actually wish I would've got a bowl. The sandwich was huge. I only ate half. The bread was fresh and pillowy soft with a crusty outside covered in melted, golden cheese. The turkey was literally off the bone and I don't mean off the bone deli style processed, I mean fresh freaking turkey. Like the day after Thanksgiving. Thick avocado, lettuce, red onions, mayo and provolone cheese. Absolutely delicious. Kneaders has incredible baked goods. I have never ordered a baked good from them that I did not like. I don't normally do heavy chocolate, I like fruit-based pastries, but I had a long day yesterday with a few stressful moments and felt like some chocolate was in order. The Dome is just that. A dome filled with dark spongy chocolate cake and a light creamy whipped chocolate mousse covered in a ganache with a dollop of fresh whipped cream on top. It was the perfect size- not real big, but I only ate half and a few hours later ate the other half. Really decadent. This morning, I made some hotel coffee and pulled out my almond croissant. I left it in the wax bag and also put it inside a grocery bag, nice and tight, so it would stay fresh. It was a pillow soft flaky croissant, crispy on the outside with an incredible almond filling, dusted with powdered sugar and slivered almonds. That along with my black coffee pretty much has sent me on a perfect path this morning. For your viewing enjoyment, I've put pictures of the food and the mountains. Triangle mountains, triangle, croissants, and triangle sandwiches. There's a theme here. Please remember, I'm giving a five star review here because it's a drive-through. I've loved Kneaders for years. I still love the sandwiches and pastries, but there are certain things I've noticed going downhill over the years. First, when I order the house made Parmesan chips, years ago they would give you a bag overflowing with chips. Now you get a tiny bag with maybe 10 chips max. Next, the breakfast croissant has little to zero cheese on them. Today there was maybe a quarter sized amount on my wife's sandwich. With how much Kneader's charges, you'd think they would make your experience worth it. read more

I've been here so many times and sometimes it's perfect and others just okay, but overall it is worth a try. I've had almost everything on their menu, so here is a list of things not to miss. Portobello Artichoke Soup - it's creamy, hearty, unique and delicious! You can get it to go, because their containers keep it hot. I like to pair this with the baguette or rosemary focaccia. French Dip - I think their balance of roasted, cheese and bread is just right and their French dip is flavorful and delicious. I'd get this one fresh and not to go, as it's meant to be eaten hot. Thai Chicken Salad - I've had this one several times and only once or twice was it mediocre. Most of the time the veggies are fresh, the chicken is warm and the dressing is drinkable :) I order two dressings on this one with the French country sourdough. Sausage, Egg and Cheese Croissant - it's a heavier breakfast, but it's delicious. I love the warm croissant. It melts in your mouth. Razzleberry Smoothie - I like strong flavors, so if little seeds and strong flavors bother you, don't get this one. It's got a citrusy flavor and strong berry flavor. It's one of my faves. Desserts - Chocolate dome, or raspberry bread pudding (ask them to warm it up). It's always busy, but to me that's a good sign. So I wouldn't go if you are in a hurry. I have never been treated poorly by anyone and they handle all order errors politely. They have fun decor in the front for each holiday to purchase and even a gift wrapping station. It's a great place to eat. They have a cook book too if you want to try making some of their dishes in your own. I used to eat here regularly however, I have become disappointed with their shrinking portion sizes. The salads hardly have had any toppings on them lately. I gave three stars because they usually have several tables available, friendly staff, and a great bakery selection. I especially love the almond croissants. Order kept getting delayed and I got a message from the driver that said Kneaders wasn't ready. That was fine. Order gets to me like 20 min after I expected, then open the order and I find a note, the says, " didn't have your soup sorry Here's a loaf of our blueberry and lemon bread on us" . The soups were in fountain drink cups, and it was not good at all. One cup had just the broth and the other 2 cups had the chunky parts of soup, the soup I DID NOT WANT. I was overall unimpressed and disappointed. It would have been great to get a call to ask if I wanted any other soups or to just get a refund instead of getting a soup I never even wanted. The first time we went into Kneaders we were looking for the Bread. I've been searching for Artisan bread here in Utah county. I was SHOCKED at the prices of simple sandwiches. Meh. My daughter raved about this place and their salads and she recommended I try it. So I went here---ordered the turkey pesto sandwich. The drive-thru attendant said they were out of them. So I changed my order to a turkey cranberry croissant. They said they were out of croissants. So I decided to just hit up Taco Bell for lunch and since I was already stuck in the middle of the drive-through line, I just ordered a raspberry cheesecake. For five bucks, this was the most pathetic looking cheesecake that I've seen. The sad thing is the drive-thru attendant handed it to me on its side, so it was fun trying to lick the raspberry off the sides of the plastic shell. Will I eat here again? I really am not sure, but I was not impressed. The flavor: bland, sweet no flavor. The "cheesecake" is the texture of whip cream and doesn't taste like cheesecake. This Kneaders is so good! We went on Christmas Eve and it was SO busy but everyone was so helpful and cheerful and it went FAST! We got lots of different orders and our french toast refills and the woman manager (whoever blonde woman seemed in charge) was SO kind and went out of her way to make sure everything was running smooth and taken care of. This is the best place to get a great salad and sandwich. The Orem location impressed me a lot with great customer service and followed through on our family order to perfection. The food tasted fresh and great. We live closer to another Kneaders in Provo, but I have to admit they haven't been very good following orders and the customer service has not been good. I recommend if you're having problems with the river bottoms Kneaders go to the Orem location. They listen and follow orders better. Also have better customer service and ask how you're doing:).
