American fork - The workers here are so chill and make the best drinks. We were about to go to starbucks and now this is our favorite place everrr Paige is so sweet and riley the waitress did a great job of keeping the place clean. Pros: * Good amount of parking * The daily specials are a deal! Just be aware that modifications cannot be made without an additional cost. * Caprese sandwich was on this delicious focaccia bread. Sides are small (see photo), but the sandwich is big. * Staff is friendly and attentive. Cons: * I added chicken to my sandwich and it was a such a small piece that half of the sandwich didn't have chicken in it. * I wasn't impressed with the dessert flight so I don't recommend ordering it. Cakes were dry and the others weren't memorable. read more

This place always looks so promising because their food looks amazing, but I feel like it just always falls flat for us. We've tried it so many times because it's soooo popular, but unfortunately, it's just not our favorite. I ordered the avocado toast, and it was way too lemony for me. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I just don't think lemon and avocado are a good combo. Everyone else in my group felt pretty much the same about their food... it was all just okay and didn't really feel worth the price. Our waiter was great though, and we were able to get a table for 10 on a Saturday morning, which was a plus! But honestly, I don't know if we'll be returning. read more

The food is fantastic. The service at the American Fork location, however, is a very different story. If you're planning to dine there, make sure you don't have any pressing commitments afterward. On both of our visits, we spent an extraordinary amount of time simply waiting to be acknowledged. During our most recent visit, our group sat at a table right in the middle of the restaurant and could have driven all the way to the Draper location in the time it took for a server to notice we were there. We initially assumed the experience was a one-time issue, so we gave the American Fork location a second chance a few months later. Unfortunately, it was almost identical to the first visit. The pace of service was painfully S...L...O...W... The time from when we sat down until we got the special priviledge of actually ordering: 25 minutes! In contrast, the Draper location has consistently been a much better experience and appears to be managed far more efficiently. I'm glad they've expanded into American Fork, and the food certainly makes the restaurant worth visiting. I just hope they can improve their service processes so customers can enjoy a great meal without needing to set aside half their day to do it. read more

This is my favorite dessert place. I also love the entree there. For the dessert, it really depends on what is on the menu that season. The chocolate ones can never go wrong, but sometimes the flavor can have a very unique taste. I once got a peach flavor dessert (the top left corner of my video), and it was too sweet that I could not handle it (my sweet tolerance is pretty high though). We also got a cake that has pistachio cake skin that was too thick and artificial, so I just ate the cake. It is a perfect place for a date night or girls dinner. read more

Gourmandise is home to a few of my favorite patio's to dine on in the spring/summer. A couple friends and I stopped by the AF location for lunch recently and it was a good time. The sandwiches were good (not great) and the service was fine. I didn't walk away amazed, but that's on me for not taking my usual trip to the pastry case. Gourmandise is always a good choice, but it's especially good when you find a sweet treat at the end. read more

Came this morning with some friends and it was so clean and perfect with plenty of parking and amazing service! The only thing I don't love about this place is that all the good sides cost extra even though your meals comes with sides. For example: fries are an extra $4.50 I believe. I think that's weird. read more

I love coming to this location for its food/drink variety and ambiance. The service here is so nice and helpful, the blueberry cloud latte is delicious and they have milk alternatives for those who prefer. You can use the drive through or dine in, both have been amazing for me and my family! They are accommodating and communicative, i love coming here. Shoutout the all the workers here especially IAN, you guys are killing it! Also wanted to mention today is the birthday of my soul kitty who is now passed. Delicious options on the menu! Nice patio area, but I'd recommend wiping the tables and chairs down; there were a lot of cobwebs and spiders. Salad and brisket Benedict were good. The desserts...... I mean, that's why people come here, right?? I'm look forward to trying it out again! read more

My husband and i were visiting from nyc. And found this place about 5 minutes from or hotel. Its a beautiful french inspired pastry shop with that classic beautiful black and white inlayed flooring wood top tables brightly lit. A cute spot for a coffee date. It had a beautiful glass display of all thier goodies. The staff were very warm and inviting. So we ordered a passion fruit layered cake a croissant guava pastry and a lemon tart . Of the 3 the best was the guava pastry. But every thing we ordered lacked fruit or fruit flavor. The lemon tart the filling tasted more of egg. Im not sure of it was a lemon pastry cream or a mix of pastry cream with curd but it lacked the lemon tartness and the pastry crust its self was thick and was probably made with shortning it lacked that buttery flavor. The passion fruit cake was moist. The top layer that usually looks like a nice jelly layer was dry. Overall it did its job when you're craving something sweet but definitely not my favorite. The business beautiful, the staff wonderful. But the pastries disapponting read more

This is Utah's best bakery! It may be a bit pricey compared to other bakeries, but it's 100% worth the price. Great selection of incredible food. Try the cannoli or the napoleon. read more

I've been to Gourmandise many times. I have mixed feelings about them because their desserts really are the best in Utah but their food is just alright and some are below average... Maybe it's because I had the fries to-go. After a 10-minute drive, they were soggy, which I'm usually fine with, but they tasted bland. Even with the garlic aioli, the overall taste and texture was just not for me. The crisped cauli florets were very oily. My husband couldn't tell he was eating fried cauliflower. I've had deep-fried cauliflower before and loved them, so I hope to see Gourmandise make them less oily along with some modifications to elevate the taste. We enjoyed the spinach artichoke dip most. It was rich in flavor. The avocado toast was SO sour. They added way too much lemon juice to it. Looking at the menu again now, it says it includes one side, but I think they forgot about it. (The fries I got were from "My Honey's not really hungry.") Still giving them 4-star even though their food is 3-star but desserts are 5.5! I enjoy all of their chocolate desserts, and I wish they would have the pistachio spiral croissants all year long! read more

Super cute, little cafe. Our waitress was super sweet. I ordered the grilled salmon and it was cooked perfectly. The sauce was a little overpowering, but it was easy to eat around it. My SIL got the fried lasagna which is on the seasonal menu, that's on their website, and she loved it. We also found that kids under 12 eat free after 5pm. I couldn't find this written anywhere though, so definitely ask your waitress. read more

We stopped by tonight for a dessert. I had the lemon eclair. It was disappointing - the eclair pastry was dry and the filling quite stiff, but the flavor was great. This was my first time eating at the gourmandise restaurant side and I wasn't really sure what to expect. The bakery has always been a hit with my coworkers and so I wanted to see what the hype was about. Things I Loved: It's a beautiful little place to eat and the outdoor seating is stunning during the summer/spring evenings. The food was pretty good and was more upscale than a normal sit down in the area. The desserts are so fancy and absolutely delicious. I will be going back just for those! The food was definitely lighter and didn't leave me feeling weighed down. Things I Didn't Care For: All dishes and appetizers (especially starters) were high in price and smaller portions than I expected. There also wasn't a lot of clarification on specific ingredients in the dishes and I feel that trying to customize entrées was difficult (but could be done if you asked a lot of questions, though an up charge may be issued). The separation of bakery and restaurant is nice for those just wanting the bakery items but for those eating who also want a dessert, there is no menu so it felt a bit awkward. Refills are not free. Some other friends who tried the spot got charged per refill for their sodas (not sure about alcoholic beverages but probably the same). The dishes were good, but not the flavors we expected (like the ranch was spicier and had lots of dill flavoring which I didn't know or expect). Overall: It's a beautiful experience, but as someone who has a smaller budget, I will stick with going to the bakery every so often and finding a restaurant that really hits home when i'm looking to satisfy a fancier dinner palette. read more

Gourmandise has the best desserts. Their seasonal pistachio spiral croissants are to die for. The filling was rich and creamy. Once I had the first bite, I could not stop eating it. Really wish they could have the pistachio flavor all year long! I also tried the chocolate hazelnut spiral croissant. Even though it tasted good, the hazelnut filling was too much for me--felt like I was eating nutella. Would be better if they could make the filling lighter. I have been to Gourmandise many times. Overall, the desserts are delicious, and they have great customer service! read more

First visit to Gourmandies! We will for sure return, may have to wait for payday however it was a little pricey. But as far as I can tell it was worth it, tri-tip sandwich along with the French dip was very good! The deserts are also very good. When I walked in I was immediately blown away by the great service, ambiance, and the display of pastries . I ordered a variety of pastries and each one was super good . There are good and bad things to every place. Luckily for Gourmandise, there are more good. For example, I wouldn't come here to eat a meal again (because it's overpriced and the multiple dishes I've had lacked flavor!!) BUT I come here a LOT for dessert. Here's some of the desserts I've had and my thoughts haha: - hazelnut cheesecake (pictured): a favorite, but heavy haha (but AMAZING & my #1) - pistachio raspberry tart: so yummy and refreshing.....this is my #2 here - passion fruit cake: flavor is there!! and it's delicious - raspberry eclair: excellent, fresh, & light - strawberry ring: a solid 7/10 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (not so good desserts) - black forest cake: wtheck is the deal with the thick later of hard frosting on top, also not enough cherries! - marzipan slice: a Danish princess cake copycat that does NOT do it justice. marzipan is way too thick and sweet, and there is absolutely no raspberry flavor in that custard Overall....we still love Gourmandise for the amazing variety of desserts. It definitely acts too boujee, but....we love it haha. Come here for dessert with friends or the girls. The servers will treat you well and it's a nice atmosphere to gather and eat in! read more

What a fun little spot in UT that feels like an escape from our little valley. This upscale dining spot offers gourmet brunch, lunch, and dinners and has buzzing cafe energy to it. My group couldn't help but notice that the whole staff has a sort of brooding charm about them that adds to European feel. The menu has a good variety of interesting ideas and I enjoyed my food. The combo of hollandaise sauce, brisket, and a scone was exciting but my side of potato's was a bit boring and I ended up asking for ketchup. THE DESSERTS. What a fun and beautiful display they are! I wish I would've taken a picture of ours. We tried 5-6 of them and were pleased with all other than the raspberry chocolate mouse cake (which was not bad just a little dry and dull in comparison to the others.) Please get the peach buns and the tiramisu. They are insane. Will be returning! read more

This is my new SPOT!! The vibes are amazing and it's such a fun little spot to eat! they have a large selection of pastries which all look amazing! My favorites are the raspberry pistachio tartlet, The chocolate eclair, the Raspberry croissant, the pistachio croissant, and the carrot cake! As far as food goes I've tried a few of the Candice's and they are delish. My favorite thing there though is the Tri Tip Steak. it comes with roasted potatoes, asparagus, and tri tip steak all on a bed of the most delicious Gorgonzola red wine sauce! It's a 10/10. I think I found my new favorite non-salad salad. It's called Chicken Salad on Field of Greens and it's delish! I ordered it with a side of grilled chicken and it was just the right combination of salad, chicken and greens. Truly, it was great. HOW DID I NOT KNOW THIS WAS HERE?! I was literally at the Draper location 2 weeks ago dreaming of one closer to home, then BAM! Found this beauty. Bakery is always a hit, as is the menu. This had the Brussels sprout app which was divine. The herbed whipped cream cheese was so fluffy! Rich and the perfect amount of comfy for a winter day. Entree went with the niçoise which I wouldn't probably get again, but it was still tasty. Probably a 3.5/5 for me. Also had the pasta with the butternut squash cream sauce which was nearly a 5/5, just wish it had some type of vegetable with it. But MAN that sauce is divine!! read more

I'll often stop here for lunch when I'm in this part of the valley and have on roughly a monthly basis for several years. The food is very good (I think I've tried nearly everything on their lunch menu), although imho the servings are at times a bit small when considering the prices. The frites are definitely overpriced and not worth the additional charge. The service is excellent, attentive and professional, generally some of the best in the valley. The interior is casual, bright, naturally lit, and pleasant albeit a bit crowded at times. It's not uncommon to share the space with families and groups of co-workers. There have been days when I have been the only male dining and this seems to have become a prestige lunching spot for affluent zillenial females. On several of those occasions the atmosphere has been cold and, on occasions, verged on hostile, although this is completely beyond the restaurant's control. To the best of my knowledge Gourmandise has a corner on authentic French pastry in Utah county. They are generally excellent, but on the pricey side, and after extensive sampling, I'm not sure all of them are made fresh daily. Better pastry can be found in SLC, and at comparable or lower prices, but only worthwhile if you're up for a drive up I-15. I like Gourmandise and its staff, and I plan to continue to dine here as the opportunities arise, but the caveats I've mentioned are worthy of note. read more

Came here for a Sunday brunch with the lady. Staff was friendly, nice location. My wife got the Butternut squash pasta. She's a die hard butternut squash ravioli fan, she didn't love this as much as the raviolis we've had before but definitely a high quality dish. I got the breakfast croissant and it was extraordinarily flakey but was honestly overwhelmingly buttery IMO. Solid restaurant choice, high quality ingredients, will be back and try some more dishes. Didn't love either of ours enough to rave about it to other people but I bet the dishes here are all good and we'll find something we like. read more

I want to start by saying that I love Gourmandise, and their desserts are one of the best in Utah. However, I'm a bit disappointed with what I got this time. The caramel brownie bread pudding was dry and harder than what I expected. The taste was still good though. I'd recommend getting their pistachio spiral croissant. Best coffee and pastries around. The food is seriously only 1-2 stars though. I've been here 5 times and the food is always disappointing despite sounding so good on the menu. Since I knew the food wasn't great going in this last time I just ordered eggs and bacon with my coffee and pastry. The scrambled eggs seriously looked and tasted like the powdered eggs you get at a continental breakfast. The bacon listed as "local bacon" was so burnt I sent it back. They brought back more bacon and this time I swear I could tell it was just the precooked kind you buy and reheat in the microwave .
