We dined in at Buddha's and unfortunately it was a pretty underwhelming experience. We ordered the teriyaki chicken bento box and a sweet roll. The flavor was okay overall, but the food didn't taste very fresh. My meal arrived quickly, but it was only lukewarm, and the chicken itself was rubbery. Portion size was good, so I'll give them that. Service was good (the employee working was nice, but he appeared to be the only one there). They were also out of the spam musubi, which was disappointing. We went on a Monday night and were the only people there. The vibes of the restaurant were also quite plain and it was only slightly themed which was surprising for a Hawaiian restaurant. So excited to finally try this place. We are from Hawaii so you can imagine our anticipation to try this place, we waited too long. Lots of parking, clean and welcoming space. We had a great experience here! Service was friendly and helpful. Restaurant was very clean and we were the only ones dining in. Food was good too! I ordered their French toast which was thick, (a little dry) but nothing a little bit of syrup can't fix! My husband ordered their breakfast bento and he liked it, But wished there was salt and pepper on the tables to add to his eggs. But the taste overall was great. I don't often find my self this far south, but now I know exactly where to go when I do. Budda's makes a fantastic meal and even better baked goods. When I was in, I got the locomoco burger. I'm a huge fan of Loco Moco and I think theirs is great. Plenty of flavor and made fresh. As a burger, it does add a few extra layers of carbs, so buckle up for a food coma that it will put you in. I'd definitely be up for trying some of their other burgers too though. Their rolls are fantastic. If you are taking any home, then you need at least one extra to eat in the car on the way. They are light and delicious. Really balanced rolls that aren't overly sweet, making them dangerously easy to over eat. The shop is clean, and themed with the Hawaiian vibes. Pros: The staff! Greeted and welcomed and offered samples and menu recommendations. Clearly passionate about what they do and the service was outstanding. Lots of parking. Clean interior. Cons: Very limited options of any baked goods when we went in at 5:30pm. Only 3 things left in the display case. This is a learning experience as I can only assume the food is so good, it sells out during the day. Also sold out of Musubi and 2 other things I wanted to order. The food was "good" but I wouldn't say outstanding. Kalua pork was dry. As was the rice it was served with. I assume it had just been sitting for a while. My wife's breakfast sandwich was also "good" but the fake cheese product was kind off putting. I'd go back to give other things a try but certainly would try go during the day and hopefully they have more in stock. read more

Been wanting to try these budda rolls for some time, and they did not disappoint. Arrived at this Polynesian owned business when they opened at 8 am and ordered the classic budda role and a cup of coffee to eat in. When you join their loyalty program, you get a free roll. The rolls were freshly baked in buttery goodness, hence their name. Their coffee was not ready, so they brewed a new pot. However, when the coffee arrived it was lukewarm which is why I deducted a star. They have other food items which we'll have to come back and try. Tasty rolls but unfortunately, they weren't as soft as advertised, specifically the sticky cinnamon roll. I was sad when I bit into them and they were dry, but the more I worked toward the middle of the roll, the softer the bread got. I do like how they have different flavors! Was a little confused walking in because we could not see a menu. Finally saw it taped up and went to take a look. The worker behind the counter was very friendly and noticed we hadn't been there before. He offered some great suggestions and even gave us some sticky rolls to try! He was very kind. Wow. First off- didn't get a sticky roll but I will be back for one. Second off- don't come here on a full stomach. Everything on the menu looked amazing and diverse. We were in a sweets mood and decided to try all of the different roll flavors-while the plain and taro were similar and simple, the sticky and coconut knocked it out of the park! I dare say the sticky was better than most cinnamon rolls I've tried. The service was very nice and they were patient with us while we took our time looking at the menu. I ordered the loco moco. I was the only customer there, and it took more than 15 minutes for it to be made. It was not what I was expecting. It's different from the regular loco mocos and the sauce was very salty. I didn't like it much. I also tried the Lilikoi Danish. It was good, but a little dry. I microwaved it, and it tasted better. I did go at night, though, so it wasn't fresh. I'd be interested to go in the morning and see how they taste like fresh out of the oven. The staff were friendly. I heard there was a change in management, and the food and service are not as good as before. I wish I could've been here before the change was made. read more

I came here to try the rolls and was not disappointed. The rolls here are incredible-- soft, warm, generously sized, and they have a variety of flavors to choose from. I got the taro, sticky, and coconut, and also got to sample the original butter roll via their sample handouts. My only wish was that the coconut one would have had a puréed coconut filling, rather than shredded coconut. However, it still tasted delicious. The service was really nice, and I love that they give back to the community by feeding the hungry. They're not doing this business just to make a fortune but to spread joy and kindness.
