If you've been coming to Tangie's for decades, like many of the patrons that filled the restaurant this past Saturday morning, then you are likely used to the food and come here in spite of it. You're likely returning because of nostalgia and it's the hangout that you and your buddies have been gracing since your glory days way back before the internet. For the rest of us, let me set some expectations. It's an old, divey place that has décor similar to your grandmothers' kitchen. Not a bad thing; in fact-it adds to the charm. Seat yourself and you'll be served pretty quickly. The food leaves a bit to be desired. My wife and I ordered breakfast-eggs, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns and pancakes. The pancakes and bacon were pretty good, but the rest was...rough. The hash browns were cold and had a strange consistency, as did the eggs. Service was quick and attentive, if not overly friendly. But one server was taking care of everyone, and called several guests by name. So, like I said-if you're a regular and don't mind the food, good on ya. I think I missed my chance at having a dedicated table, so I'll just pass on through.

Service is friendly. The hot cocoa was cool enough to drink. The coffee is very watered down. The garbage potatoes were super lemony and definitely premade. The mushrooms were mushy. I added an egg to mask the issue, plus dousing the plate with Tabasco. Seriously, it's Sunday and there's really no other options around here! My son had the regular potatoes and they were equally lemony. It did prevent them from becoming brown due to early prep but it also prevented them from browning on the grill!

Talk about Down to earth Hometown diner! This is an amazing place, you are treated like the locals who come here daily. Just relaxing feeling, you seat yourself and the waitress is there to greet you and gives you plenty of time to decide. The food is alot!!! You get what you pay for and it is so worth the price. We come here often it does get busy on the weekends and in the morning during the week. This is my go to when everything else is packed. Come have some home cooking. Thank you

The food was tasty, but lacked in quantity of meat. The price was commensurate with the amount of meat on the sandwiches. The onion rings were REALLY GOOD! The server was on top of her customers and very pleasant to talk with. Food was served quickly and the cook asked if I wanted Thousand Island dressing on my Reuben. I felt like we had walked into the past as the cafe is reminiscent of places I had eaten in as a kid growing up in the Midwest.

Tangie's is your typical old fashion diner that has been around forever. As an old diner, the place is clean with bright lighting and inviting, where the servers know their regular's names and what they usually order. The food is your basic breakfast, burgers and sandwiches along with few dinner items, that said, the food has always been neatly prepared and done well, and they make exactly how you wanted it. The food portions are just right and the price is very affordable. If you ever want to have a relaxing comfort meal, this is a good place to go.

Well what can I say..... Tangie's was kind of what I expected I didn't quite feel welcomed there or maybe I should say I wasn't part of the group. everyone was friendly the place was somewhat clean definitely outdated kind of little nostalgia on State Street in Utah the food was subpar. Would I go back? Probably not, because I'm not part of the cool club and I definitely felt it. They did put garden tomatoes on my burger and those were fantastic.

Normal routine, walk in to approximately 30% capacity, sit down immediately served drinks... order taken less then 10 minutes of walk in.

I wish I could give zero stars. Honestly the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. To start off it smelled like a sewer inside. We ordered a few minutes after we sat down at approximately 12:45 (two omelets and scones). We waited and waited and waited, while every single person who came in after us got their food and the cooks were out making small talk with everyone. Finally at 1:20 we decided we'd walk out if we didn't get our food by 1:30. We finally were given our food right at 1:30. It was room temperature, bland, and just flat out disgusting. My husband and I took one bite of our omelets and had had it. SO GROSS. Then we took a bite of our toast that came with our food and there was MOLD on it. We got up, paid (which we're pissed about, we should have just walked out) and left.

Finally! A mom and pop local cafe joint here in Pleasant Grove, UT!!! I ordered my staple oatmeal and scrambled eggs on the side... Waitress was sharp and very attentive. Thank you!

The Garbage and Sausage Omelet looked identical, so I can't remember which was which.

Great food. Great service. A wonderful place for a good, homey feeling meal. Try the garbage omelet and the bacon is heavenly.

Great spot for good diner food. Service is a little slow. Better than any chain brunch places (looking at you black bear).

Basic. Overpriced. Recommend Avenue Bakery down the street as someone said this place is better and it's not.

The restaurant is cute with several kinds of donuts, yummy tasty desserts, fresh bread, cinnamon rolls and cookies as well as some cute retail purchases like towels, hats, postcards etc, At 7pm I was quite surprised how many donuts were still left on the shelf in an open shelf system behind the counter. Another thing that was a huge turnoff was as the amount of gnats flying around. My guess is there is rotting food near the booths we were sitting in. The weather is cold, doors weren't wide open so something was attracting them. Restroom was clean and a small but decent sized parking lot.
