This location is now branded as "Donut Run" and the donuts are really good! We were driving by, saw the sign, so we decided to stop on a whim. It wasn't too busy around 11am on a Saturday and there were plenty of donuts left to choose from. The guy working was super nice and quick to help us. We tried the glazed, cinnamon sugar, sprinkles, and a chocolate cake donut. The "raised" donuts were really good, some of the best I've had in Utah so far. What they make can be factually classified as donuts. However, when the only thing positive I have to say is that their apple fritter had almost perfect texture, I think there is an issue. (Honestly, all of the donuts were cooked well and had a good texture.) I would not care to guess how many donuts I have eaten in my life. The number is quite large though. I have had worse donuts, but at least those were memorable. The apple fritter had no flavor, no hint of cinnamon and I didn't notice any apple either. As mentioned above, the texture was on par with the best I've ever had, which really made the whole "tasting like nothing" even more sad. They had a couple heart shaped donuts(ordered on Valentines Day), which just tasted sweet. One that had red frosting on it did taste more "red" than the one that didn't have red frosting. I tried one of their jelly filled donuts, which again didn't have any flavor that indicated what the filling was. It was red and tasted kind of chemically, not strongly mind you, but I just know that artificial flavors must be involved. My wife had the second jelly filled donut and also reported that it was hard to tell what it was, but that it might be cherry or raspberry. Finally, I ate a maple bar, but aside from the light brown frosting that usually indicates you can expect maple flavoring, there was nothing else to indicate that this bar-shaped piece of fried dough had ever so much as glanced in the general direction of a sugar maple tree from the back of van speeding through a New England forest. I just do not understand how it is possible to not have maple flavor in maple frosting. It isn't exactly a subtle flavor. This may seem overly harsh, but I feel it's fair to expect some flavor from a donut. I just do not feel that is unreasonable expectation. I mean even Krispy Kreme's glaze has that awful sort of acrid after taste that makes you remember them. I could have just eaten a bag of powdered sugar and experienced the same general flavor profile. Hopefully, I have been able to accurately convey my complete and utter disappointment. read more

So happy to see this lovely donut establishment closer to home! We have been traveling to Spanish Fork for these awesome donuts for years now....but this new location is only less than ten minutes to get to from home! Met the owners Derrick and Brian, who are just really personable to interact with - super friendly and just really nice guys. This new location is spacious in the lobby/waiting area and inviting. Was craving a donut when passing by this fine establishment. Was impressed with the service and most importantly the donuts! Enjoyed the raspberry jelly filled and the chocolate covered cinnamon roll. (Probably would just go with the glazed cinnamon roll next time.) I was so excited to finally try Cowboy Donuts. I've only heard great things! We got an assortment to try different ones. They were all delicious. My favorite is the Raspberry Bismark. It's one of the best donuts I've ever had! Definitely will be going back, often! Been anxious for this place to open since I first saw the sign a few months ago. It did not disappoint. Tried the glazed, chocolate old fashion, apple fritter, and the sausage egg cheese jalapeño kolache. All were great! My fav was the chocolate old fashion - it had this awesome crisp to it that I loved! The best part though - I couldn't try them right away so I had them sitting in the bag they came in for a couple hours. Shockingly, the bag wasn't greasy at all! You know how some donuts soak straight through the bag or even the box!? These did not! It was soo nice to able to taste the donut instead of straight oil! The kolache was great too! I could really taste the distinct sausage and jalapeño flavors which I really enjoyed. This is prob my fav donut shop in the surrounding area- highly recommend!! read more

We arrived around 11 AM on a Monday and they were already out of many flavors, which is a good sign! The staff here was super helpful and friendly. We really appreciated their help! We ordered 4 donuts: strawberry, maple, chocolate and fruity pebbles. The fruity pebbles was tied for our favorite because it had the most flavor and the most going on! The maple was our other favorite because it was so tasty and delicious. We just wish there had been more icing on all the donuts. It's a lot of bread, and a pretty thin layer of icing! Tried these for the first time because I was in the area and got an assorted dozen but I really wish I hadn't wasted the $24. Out of all 12, we only actually liked one. The rest were very bland and not much flavor compared to other donut places or even low quality ones from Smiths or Walmart, it's really odd with how good they looked. I just went there today because I get a free donut from the starving student card. The owner was incredibly nice and gave me two donuts for free. When I tried them, both strawberry flavored, they tasted wonderful. The texture is soft and pillowy but with a chew. It wasn't too sugary at all--which is often an issue with doughnuts. They have a great variety of doughnuts and they are all very good. My favorite type of doughnut are cake doughnuts, and I was very happy to see that they had glazed, coconut, plain, and chocolate . Their old fashion doughnuts and fritters are also fantastic. My family really liked the strawberry glazed yeast doughnuts. Wow this place is great! I was a little worried when the line at 9:30 was to the door, but it moved quickly and workers were pleasant and had lots of donuts to restock the shelves. I got a Reese's pieces, chocolate cake and iced, lemon filled, and Bavarian filled. My husband and I loved all the donuts. The filled donuts were filled to the edge and absolutely delicious. My husband enjoyed his Reese's donut but thought it could be stepped up with more peanut butter flavor (icing maybe?) I quickly downed the chocolate cake donut and while the icing was good, I actually would have preferred it without. I also got a sausage and cheese kolache. It was very tasty! I tried an egg, bacon and cheese kolache. I tried a few bites, trying to find the egg and bacon and found potatoes. The inclusion of potatoes is not a bad thing in itself, but I wish that was listed on the little sign. I threw almost all of it out. I tried a jelly doughnut as well, with the same results. Ps. I've tried those kolaches from the place in Salt Lake as well and I don't get how those places that sell them are rated as well as they are. And, they have multiple locations on the W front. 3/4 times I have been there they have been closed for no reason. Went there this morning at 640 after looking online and them saying they open at 5am. Drove 30 min out of my way and no one was in the store it was pitch black except for a few lights on. Their donuts are good the 1 time I got the chance to eat here. There weren't any signs on the door giving any reason for them not being open but there was a sign that says they are open at 5am. Went to daylight donuts instead. read more
