Burgess Orchards was one of the highlights of our road trip through northern Utah! From the moment…read morewe arrived, it was easy to see why this family-owned orchard has such a great reputation. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer questions, creating a relaxed, hometown atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The fresh peach we bought was absolutely incredible--perfectly ripe, incredibly juicy, and packed with flavor. You can really taste the difference that comes from fresh, locally grown fruit. We also treated ourselves to a cherry sundae, which was refreshing, delicious, and the perfect way to cool off on a warm day. The real surprise, though, was the apple cider donuts. We bought half a dozen thinking they'd last a while, but they disappeared much faster than expected! They were soft, fresh, perfectly coated in cinnamon sugar, and easily some of the best donuts we've had. If you're driving through Alpine or exploring Utah County, Burgess Orchards is definitely worth a stop. Whether you're looking for fresh fruit, homemade treats, or just a fun local experience, this place delivers. We'll absolutely be back the next time we're in the area, and we'll probably leave with even more peaches and donuts than we did this time! Check out our video on our socials @reessroots

Just be aware that modifications cannot be made without an additional cost. * Caprese sandwich was on this delicious focaccia bread. Sides are small (see photo), but the sandwich is big. * Staff is friendly and attentive. Cons: * I added chicken to my sandwich and it was a such a small piece that half of the sandwich didn't have chicken in it. * I wasn't impressed with the dessert flight so I don't recommend ordering it. Cakes were dry and the others weren't memorable.

If you're planning to dine there, make sure you don't have any pressing commitments afterward. On both of our visits, we spent an extraordinary amount of time simply waiting to be acknowledged. During our most recent visit, our group sat at a table right in the middle of the restaurant and could have driven all the way to the Draper location in the time it took for a server to notice we were there. We initially assumed the experience was a one-time issue, so we gave the American Fork location a second chance a few months later. Unfortunately, it was almost identical to the first visit. The pace of service was painfully S...L...O...W... The time from when we sat down until we got the special priviledge of actually ordering: 25 minutes! In contrast, the Draper location has consistently been a much better experience and appears to be managed far more efficiently. I'm glad they've expanded into American Fork, and the food certainly makes the restaurant worth visiting. I just hope they can improve their service processes so customers can enjoy a great meal without needing to set aside half their day to do it.

I asked if it made a difference, and she said it definitely does, so I decided to get the sweet retreat crepes instead. They were pretty good! My husband ordered the breakfast panini, and that was so good. It had really delicious flavors. I definitely want to come back so I can try the French toast because it looks amazing. Their bakery is also really good. I've ordered custom cakes from them before, and they always turn out beautiful.

It was cold, and the bread mushy. I was so disappointed. The waffle fries were excellent tho, My husband ordered the Avenue Cheesesteak: Steak, mushrooms, onions, red peppers, and provolone on ciabatta bread. My husband also said his wasn't warm and I noticed it was a roll not ciabatta. He said the roll tho tasted fresh and was really good, his order came with Lay's chips. Bought some fresh bread and macaroons. Te macaroons were really tasty. The cashier was friendly. The restaurant is cute with several kinds of donuts, yummy tasty desserts, fresh bread, cinnamon rolls and cookies as well as some cute retail purchases like towels, hats, postcards etc, At 7pm I was quite surprised how many donuts were still left on the shelf in an open shelf system behind the counter. Another thing that was a huge turnoff was as the amount of gnats flying around. My guess is there is rotting food near the booths we were sitting in. The weather is cold, doors weren't wide open so something was attracting them. Restroom was clean and a small but decent sized parking lot.
