I have been back multiple times since my last review. Their Mango Pomelo Sago and Mango Durian Sago…read morehave had me in a chokehold lol! The owner is always a delight and anything new I have tried here has not let me down. Which is why I had to add my last experience sampling what may sound not appealing at all. I noticed on one visit that a family had come in and bought up all of a certain menu item. When I visited another time I saw there were a few of those items on display and I decided to try one for myself. It was called Taro Mochi Dried Meat Floss Cake. It sounds like it wouldn't work, but to my surprise I quite enjoyed it. Semi-sweet cream filling and chewy fresh mochi sandwiched between light and fluffy sponge cake then rolled in a dried meat floss and what looked to be nori. The smell was a little pungent, but I always try something once. I never know what I may like until I've tried it and this is definitely a "Don't Yuck My Yum" situation. (Shoutout @doobydobap) I hope this local spot gets all the love because the husband and wife business owners are doing great things here!!

The taro flavor is very faint but you can taste it. The lady helping us was nice. She was by herself and was still pretty quick.

My co-workers love when I bring in their cream cheese and jalepenos filled rolls. I have never been a fan of the donuts due to the more plain Spanish inspiration vs, French, but they have really good custard filled donuts with a hard chocolate coating.

Panadería Alicia's is a true gem if you're a fan of Mexican baked goods. The moment you walk in,…read moreyou're greeted with an overwhelming variety of breads, pastries, and cakes--there's truly something for everyone. The selection is massive, and everything looks fresh and inviting. We tried their tres leches cake and caramel pudding cake, and both were absolutely delicious. The tres leches was moist and rich without being overly sweet, and the caramel pudding cake had a silky texture with just the right amount of sweetness. We also sampled a few other baked goods, and everything we tried was solid--clearly made with care. One thing that could improve the experience for first-time visitors is labeling. None of the items are named or described, so unless you're already familiar with traditional Mexican pastries, it can be a bit of a guessing game. It would be really helpful if they labeled each item or provided a menu guide. That said, if you're open to a little adventure--or already know your conchas from your cuernitos--this place is definitely worth visiting. I'll be back to try even more from their incredible selection.
