I felt like a fat kid in a candy store here. Their selection is huge! I ate mine too quickly to get a picture. You grab a tray and a spatula when you walk in and choose what you like. I ended up getting this croissant like ham sandwhich. It had a layer of fried cheese on top. It was seriously delicious! I also tried a small custard pastry with fruit . Which I thought tasted really fresh but I wish it had more fruit. The service was very friendly and the prices were really good. My two items were only $9. Don't let your eye be the only judge! I think 2 stars is extremely fair for all the items we tried (12). I want to let you know they all look 5 stars but most are off in a number of ways. They're either overcooked to create a burnt taste or they simply do not have any where near the flavor you are hoping for and expecting. There was not one thing our group would go back for. Where they terrible? Nope. It's just not worth your time or money. Strongly consider your options. I know it's a trendy chain but it's just that, a chain. Cooked from frozen mediocrity. ! I have been at their other location and this location is just as super quality as the other. Everything reeks of quality, quality, quality. Their pastries, other food items, drinks, store feel, and even all their packaging is such high class. You will find something that your palate will absolutely thank you for. Have been in here a few times. Since they have first opened there is now a huge variety of pastries. Im a huge fan of the macaroons would recommend the earl grey and raspberry. This time we got the guava pastry and a caramel apple pastry . The design it self is beautiful and just the hint of sugary glaze on the dough is very nice , full of flavor and not overly sweet. If you are looking for a few options to have with your coffee you have to come out to Tous Les Jours . They even sell their own coffee to enjoy while there and in the huge bag . Okay silly story... my friend and I had planned to meet up at Tous Les Jours the other in between our coming and goings to different events. We had planned to meet at 730pm. Well, we were both at Tous Les Jours @ 7:30pm, and after about ~10 minutes were wondering where the other was. Well turns out, I came to this location and she went to Midvale (totally a mistake on my part as to location)! But that aside... it was my first time going, despite hearing all the good things about it. Well I'm glad I went! I tried both savory, sweet, and coffee! They had a variety of pastries and foods (sandwiches, croissant eats, donuts, macaroons, cakes, etc etc...). I had such a hard time choosing, but I went with a sausage and garlic knot and cheese and mushroom pastry, an Ube donut, and a tiramisu latte. The staff was super nice and so helpful. The place is neat, clean, and well lit. It was rainy tha night, so it wasn't incredibly busy, but there were a few people, including myself that came in. Parking can be a bit tight. Thanks to yelps suggestion, my wife and I ended up here late one evening looking for a yummy dessert or two and I am glad we stuck to yelp's suggestion of top dessert places in the area. Tous les Jours did not disappoint, the inside felt like a fancy restaurant when we entered, and we were also immediately greeted by yummy patisseries and there definitely too many to choose from because they all look delicious. The night my wife and I tried Tous Les Jours we tried a classic pain au chocolate (it was yummy) and the cloud mango cake (it was also very yummy). We are already trying to plan the next time we can go back and try more, especially their sweet breads. They all looked soooo tasty. read more

What a fun place! Been meaning to try this place for a while and so glad I finally did! They offer so many pastries and treats, both savory and sweet, I had the HARDEST time choosing! My most favorite item is the curry croquet, I particularly love that they are kept warm in their own special little cabinet. The only time I've got a problem with the food here is when they run out of *those*. Whenever I venture out to try something new at TLJ I usually find that it's just as magnificent as my old favorites and I kick myself for not trying them sooner. Service - 5 stars Perfect. Streamlined. No frills and no failures. They don't really wait on you here, it's counter service and the baristas make fantastic drinks. No notes. Ambiance - 5 stars If Heaven had a bakery, this would be the first place one would encounter after passing through the gates. It's bright white and always sparkling clean, the trays and tongs always look brand new, I don't think I've ever seen smudges on the glass pastry case doors. The seating is quite varied and so cute, high counter seating facing out the windows, little tables with bench seating and chairs, stylish little couches with low coffee tables. Very comfy and photogenic. Prices - You get what you pay for, and I think the prices here are on par with a higher end café or bakery. I think it's worth it! I stumbled on this gem and immediately knew I'd found the secret garden of brunch and coffee goodness camouflaged by a somewhat run down strip mall in South Salt Lake/Midvale. The location is random and the storefront unassuming, but this hidden haven is worth the trek. From the second you walk in, you're transported into an Instagram-worthy world of the well-designed bougie poshness I've only seen in the most hip and trendy cities. It reminds me of the pastry shops strewn aesthetically delightful arrangements for the picking in Paris or London. Here's the best part for you foodies! The food is French/Asian fusion with flavors and textures from Korea, Japan, and Paris working in complimentary perfection. I strongly recommend both the kimchi and the curry croquette, the Croque monsieur, and the red bean donut. The garlic round is insanely rich, fluffy, and delectable. You'll find yourself pleasantly surprised and grateful for the reasonable prices that will allow you to enjoy a variety of offerings without breaking your foodie bank. The food will bring me back, but the prices make me want to make a concerted effort to keep them in place as the only location in Utah so far. (Note: after research, I found out that Tous Les Jours is a national chain...but one with a concept I've only seen in bigger cities, and a new offering we need here in Utah.) Upon entering, get yourself a tray, parchment, and tongs, then get to pick and choose to your hearts content from various glass cases, piling a tray with anything suiting your fancy. Along with the cases, there are packaged fresh, fluffy milk breads and cream pastries, allowing you to take a piece of this heaven home. You can't ignore the cake and macaron case at the front of the space, either. While I have yet to try one of the fancy cakes (it would almost be sinful to break into such a beauty) they are stunning. The macaron selection is second to none anywhere near SLC, with flavors that go beyond the standards. We tried the Earl Grey and weren't disappointed. During checkout, you might want to order a lavender latte or perfectly pressed and whipped cappuccino. The people at checkout have been mostly great. In general, there's space to roam, and no big crowds or noise. It's actually a very relaxed experience overall. It's quiet enough to hear the soft mellow music playing in the background while you shop. This bakery is not what I expected to find at the corner of State Street and 7200 South (and no, this isn't a commercial for ShaneCo). It's picture-perfect and looks like something out of a magazine with the bright lights and mouth-watering pastries. I arrived a few minutes after it opened at 10:00 on a Saturday morning and joined about a dozen other people who were there for a treat. We all gathered a tray with a set of tongs to collect whatever treats speak to us. And there are plenty! I like to get here early as they can sell out of items. It is a bit odd that as a bakery, they don't open until 10 AM. A French/Korean coffee pastry shop. My daughter told me about this new coffee shop she's been wanting to try. We were having lunch nearby so we decided to go check it out. I was craving an afternoon coffee anyway, but was apprehensive, because it's hard to find fresh coffee in this area on a hot day. When we walked in I said WOW your senses are hit right away with all the delicious bakery delights. Really pretty displays and Bistro music to put you right in a French Sidewalk Cafe. Lots of cream and cheese are used in their pastries. I'm not really a big fan of dairy but I ordered a very small tiramisu for $8.25 and a black house coffee for $3.25. As stated before, in another post, Tiramisu has got to be one of my favorite desserts. Not the case here. I took one spoonful and all I got was whipped cream. Uggg. I couldn't eat it. I'm so happy to see an Asian French bakery in SLC!! Everything here is delicious, including their ube coffee. The milk bread is sooo soft! There's sign that asks you not to squeeze the bread, but it's so hard not to! I got the creamy and honeydew milk bread. If you're like me and prefer savory over sweet, you'll definitely love the honeydew milk bread. I ordered a couple different hotdog pastries and enjoyed the one in the warmer better because it had a crunchy cheese bite on top. This upscale pig in a blanket is not to be missed! The one in the glass case had a flaky crust but not as good warm. The ham and cheese pastry is good, but it would've been better placed in the warmer. The spinach and feta pastry is also really good! A foodie on Tik Tok posted a video about this place so you know I had to try it! Amazing bakery unlike any other in Utah. This French-Asian inspired bakery has something for everyone. This place is one of the cutest cafe/bakery I've been to. It's a french bakery with a Korean influence. Walking in you will definitely notice all the yummy bread and buns available. There's also a sit down area to enjoy your coffee and whatever pastries you got. I also discovered this is actually a chain. This bakery exist across the USA. Everyone here is super friendly. If you don't know what to get, they would be able to assist you in whatever you need. My only thing is don't come 30 mins before they close if you want to have more options. When I got here there wasn't much left, hence the empty shelves on my pictures. The cake was super yummy. The cake it self was soft and melt in your mouth. The cream isn't your normal butter cream. It's way less sweet, and just the way I like it. There's fruits between the cake. You can't go wrong. The breads are yummy. I brought some home and ate it throughout the week and they stayed soft and pillowy for a while. The slice bread was super soft and perfect for a quick breakfast. Don't sleep on Tous les Jours. My sister in law told me about this spot that's apparently world famous, and especially popular in southeast Asia. And we landed one on the corner of State St and 7200 South (just east of Shane Co, and next door to KOU BBQ). It's hard to know where to start with this place. It is open, clean, airy, and just beautiful. When you walk in, you get a tray and tongs. There's a hot food section on the right with a sweet frank roll and other items. Don't knock it till you try it, guys. It is so good. That said, maybe come back to this heated case last if you want your food to be hot. You'll spend more time than you think looking at the rest of the items while your hot food gets cold. There's an array of wrapped/packaged breads on the right, and unwrapped fresh pastries (croissants, pretzels, danishes, scones) on your left. There's a refrigerated case as well with cakes and other items to go. Finally, the cold cake (slices and whole) and macaron display case is up front by the register. You can ask them to package your items to go when you pay. On day one, my items fit in a bag. On day two, I was given a large box. The people at the front desk are super polite and helpful. I ordered my drink and waited just a minute or two for that to be ready. On day one, I got a regular latte. It was DARK, very strong, and holy caffeine kick Batman. I added milk to mine at home, and sweetener to see if I could take it down a notch. It wasn't bad, just way stronger than I'm used to. On day two, I tried the tiramisu latte. The downside of this was that it was barely lukewarm when it was handed to me. After reheating when I got home, this drink is SO good. I highly recommend trying it ASAP as it's seasonal. Since I visited two days in a row, I can definitively say that you can't go wrong. You will struggle not to overspend because everything looks and is amazing. It's a good thing I have to go to work, and this isn't on the way there, or I'd be there daily to try the rest of the menu. I have tried - chocolate croissant - hazelnut croissant - milk cream bread - soboro pastry - sugar twist donut - sweet frank roll - sesame donut - mocha bread - regular latte - tiramisu latte I'll save you some time and tell you every single thing is great. The mocha bread was a little bit crunchier and more dry on the outside than I expected, but still good. You also need to know that as a French-Asian fusion bakery, nothing is as sweet as you're used to. It's a lot more subtle. I hope to meet up with a friend there soon, so I can sit and enjoy a drink and pastry in this cute shop, instead of running home to my baby. It's just the kind of place I want to linger.
