Berries and cream Croffle with lemon zest
Calvin J.

I guess a Croffle is a waffle? As it happens, I love waffles. My grandma used to make these crazy good waffles and they have always been one of my happiest childhood memories. She made them with buttermilk and lemon zest. Unlike any waffle I have ever had. They were always crispy! Not crunchy but crispy. Well, Lucy has finally met her match. They even include the lemon zest here. These things are wack-a-doo GOOD! The berries and cream will evoke an audible reaction the first time you bite into it. Right behind are the Dubai Pistachio and the egg bacon & avocado. The iced matcha, I've tried a couple times, was stellar. The coffee is very good also! The service is friendly and they always seem glad to have you there. The store is small and the line can be long but don't let that deter you. All good things are worth the wait!

Strawberry & Banana without vanilla cream

Such a cute spot! I really like the Gateway. It's sad to see it empty. I think this is a great dessert spot in the shopping center. First and foremost, their croffles are DELICIOUS! They come out hot with delicious toppings on top. Also, they have MANY different unique flavors, including matcha (one of my favorite flavors ever). Secondly, I love how it's currently a small business. I love supporting these places. Thirdly, I've been craving a croffle for almost a year since eating an amazing one in Italy. Therefore, I'm ECSTATIC there is a designated croffle place in Utah! The croffle itself is so good that I can definitely eat them plain, no toppings needed. I will be returning :) Regardless of how The Gateway is doing, I hope this business thrives!

The food was overall really good! The eggs were perfectly cooked over easy and the taste was delicious! I wish the croffle was just a little bit bigger but still happy! The employees were very nice, service was a little slow.. but I know they were making the food fresh right before your eyes. The latte & refresher were nothing special, but I'd come back!

Wow this place is great! Crazy Croffles serves the most amazing "Croffles" which are waffles made from croissant dough. They have both sweet and savory Croffles as well as a variety of drinks such as smoothies and lattes. The shop is cute and cozy and the owners are the sweetest sister duo. I tried the Dubai pistachio and apple spice Croffles with a pineapple kale smoothie. I love everything I tried. This place is located in the Gateway mall right across from the Hall Pass food hall. You can park in the shall lot close to the shop or park in the underground parking garage at the gateway.

Go while they still have their promo this month!! The croffles were all delicious, we got the matcha, ube, and berries & cream. My personal favorite was the berries & cream, it had some lemon zest on it that balanced out the dish nicely. Staff was friendly and service was quick so I will definitely be coming back!

Matchamisu latte, matcha

The Croffles are absolutely amazing! I got the Dubai pistachio because I love pistachio and it hit the spot. I also am very picky with my matcha and they have non-sweetened ones here that you can just add honey to and it was perfect and affordable. The workers were also nice!

Biscoff and iced matcha latte

You can tell they're just starting out, and with a few small tweaks this place could be even better. One suggestion would be to ask customers whether they're dining in or taking their croffle to go, since different packaging is needed to properly take it out. The croffles themselves were really good--no complaints there. The drinks, however, were a miss for me. The matcha didn't taste like good-quality matcha, so I'd probably skip that next time. The white mocha frappe was also overly sweet with no noticeable espresso flavor. Overall, great croffles, but the drinks could use some improvement.

This place was immaculate. The aesthetics are amazing, the chicken was so, SO DELICIOUS, I did NOT expect the chicken to mix so well with the croffle or waffle I dunno what you call it but I would absolutely be willing to spend $30 for just the chicken alone. The staff are very nice, seats are very comfy and its very comfortable and super clean. I would absolutely wish that this place was bigger mainly because I would love to have this as a study or hangout place and I would love for this place to grow bigger mainly cause of how yummy I found the chicken to be and how clean the place was. Went yesterday, going again today, and again, the staff are anazing people.

Dubai & Bischoff

AMAZING, I need to try everything on the menu because this was the best sweet treat I ever had. I LOVED the Bischoff flavor, as well as the Dubai. I RECOMMEND 1000000/10, Music was great, employees were fun and sweet, amazing service.

Biscoff latte

Cute little dessert spot in the Gateway! The drinks and food are delicious and so creative! During their first month they're having a promo so check it out!

The owners!

Crazy Croffles are seriously addictive! The outside is perfectly crispy while the inside stays soft and fluffy, such a perfect combo. I love how many fun flavors they have, and each one tastes just as good as it looks. The vibe is super fun too, making it a spot you'll want to come back to again and again. If you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out!

Been coming here for about 8 months and definitely recommend if you are looking for a place to sit…read moreand chill with food and a large drink menu. Coffee: They have seasonal menus that are usually creative and cater to a variety of flavor profiles. For the most part, the seasonal drinks can be hit or miss: I liked all the ones on their winter menu (especially the sugar cookie latte) but this summer I think all the drinks have been too sweet and the sweeteners/syrups aren't actually mixing in with the coffee (for example the mango matcha and cannoli cold brew there is a layer of sweetener at the bottom that doesn't mix no matter how hard you try). They rotate out their drip coffee and have a lot of different drink options. They have a lot of syrups and support a lot of sugar-free options. Food: I love the bacon, egg, and cheese bagel! Some of the lunch items are kind of poor and I don't think made in house (like the taquitos) but all the breakfast sandwiches are good and the pastries have been great! Pretty sure the donuts they serve are the Banbury Cross Donuts (very good, in the realm of dessert donuts). Ambiance: One of the only coffee shops in downtown SLC with comfortable seats and plenty of room. Plus there are free games you can play and a really beautiful library/gallery style wall. Cleanliness: Usually decent, once I saw a dying cockroach under my table and usually some debris people leave behind on the floor and table - I usually come during busy/peak times so the staff doesn't get a chance to clean the mess right away but I have seen them sweep during the down times.

I remember this coffee spot being good, but not memorable. It's about a month after my visit that I…read moream writing this review, and I can't think of anything that made this place stand out, positive or negative. I recall the vibes being funky, the iced Americano being delicious, the mango matcha being pricey, and the service being just ok. The mango matcha had this mango puree at the bottom, but it didn't seem fresh, nor did it add much to the matcha. The pastry selection here was strong. I tried an old-fashioned maple donut, which was fantastic, but my wife was slightly disappointed with the chia pudding's flavor and consistency. We ended up at Cupla because it was close to our hotel in downtown SLC, and it was not a letdown. However, I don't know that I would go out of my way to come here again.
