I have passed this place (unknowingly) many times. This weekend we discovered it and what a find. They have an amazing selection of coffees and teas and their chai is AMAZING! I also had one of their fresh scones, which they warmed up for me and it was very tasty and fresh. The staff were very friendly and made some recommendations too. The place has a very relaxed atmosphere and they have seating inside and outside. If you are in midvale. Come and support this local coffee shop. They also have some cool unique stickers! Why not a 5 star review you may ask, I wanted to go back later on Saturday evening and they were closed. I get we all have lives but with the local area having plenty of night entertainment going on, I would have hoped they would be open still. But I trust their judgment on keeping operating costs at a manageable level.

Coming here is an absolute treat. This is my favorite chai tea latte in the entire world. I look forward to coming here every single day because they offer everything and the service is so friendly and everyone is so nice and of course the food is absolutely delicious. The drinks and scones.

I've been coming here for years. The Mexican mocha is to die for. Always so many good options. This place will always be in my top coffee shops in the state.

I've been meaning to try this place for a while. Tres Gatos Coffee has such a cute vibe and the staff is incredibly friendly. We tried the Mexican Mocha and the House Chai and both were very rich, very sweet, and very delicious. We were also super impressed with the size of the "medium" cups--they are definitely generous and we loved that. The only bummer was that both drinks were wayyyy too sweet for our liking. (Our bad for not asking in advance.) Next time we'll definitely order them 1/4 sweet so we can taste the coffee and chai a bit more. There is limited seating inside which is why the drive-thru is such a great option. Overall, this place has good vibes, stellar staff, and we'll definitely be back.

This spot is in a cute little area tucked away. The street it's on is super cute with all these cool murals. There's outdoor seating which is nice with summer coming up! Food wise everything I got was delicious. I got a chocolate chip cookie and it was massive! It as soft and just the right amount of sweetness! My favorite thing I got was the Jalapeño cranberry scone. Omg when it was warmed up with was good. Food wise everything for me was 5/5. Drink wise it was like a 2/5. I got the passionfruit mojito drink. It did not taste like passionfruit was more like mojito. But it just tasted very syrupy to me. I think I just got the wrong thing here. Next time I'll stick to coffee! Overall cute spot, wasn't overly crowded and their pastries were good!

I love this place. It's cute and vibey and the coffee is good. I've yet to go inside cause I love a drive thru but it looks cute from the outside. Service is super nice and they always give good recs.

I was hoping to find some cats, but instead I found a lovely coffee shop on a darling tree-lined street in Midvale. I'll forgive the bait-and-switch since the coffee was absolutely phenomenal. I think the word has gotten out, since there was a steady flow of people Saturday morning in the shop. Service is friendly and quick, and the drip medium roast was delicious. Although I was here in the cold of winter, I noticed that there is outdoor seating. I could see myself sitting out there on a summer morning, sipping on a cup of Joe while waiting for the gatos to show up. It's probably more likely that there would be a dog sitting out there, which I'm equally happy about.

This coffee shop is really cute, and has indoor and outdoor seating. There's even dog parking! So they do encourage dogs hanging around outside with their humans they just can't come inside unless they are service dogs. The staff are friendly and the menu offers a wide variety of items. There's definitely some unique options. I tried one that had peanut butter and peppermint. (Holiday flavor.) The flavors weren't too strong so unfortunately I couldn't taste that part very well. But the coffee itself was good. I also did try an iced matcha that was pretty good. Next time, I want to try their own, house majnteevaon They advertise their homemade Chai a lot. I need to try it next time!!!

I love discovering new pockets and neighborhoods in Salt Lake City! This has been on my list forever and I was excited to finally check it out. Tres Gatos has truly the friendliest staff ever! I was greeted by the sweetest people when I walked in. I ordered my classic iced chai order and it was AMAZING. One of the best chai's I've found here in SLC. They have some pastries here - both sweet and savory options, but that's the extent of the food they offer. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor seating is limited, and we were lucky to have some sunshine on the patio when we visited so we sat outside. They also have a drive thru! There's a small parking lot behind the building, but there was plenty of parking on the street. Excited that I finally got to check this place out and can't wait to come back!

A lovely shop with plenty of outdoor seating and a good supply of indoor seating. We had decaf Rocky Road mocha and decaf latte, both of which were very tasty. They have a selection of vegan and gluten-free food items. Adorable stickers, both as decoration and for sale. Staff was very helpful, friendly, and welcoming.

$8.66 for a 16 oz hot Mexican Coffee with an extra shot of espresso. All I could taste was milk, cinnamon and sweetener. Way too sweet, and I really couldn't taste any coffee. There was a ton of chocolate syrup on the bottom of my cup when I went to throw my cup away... When I walked in I just wanted a nice fresh cup of house (drip) coffee. They didn't have any made, and they didn't offer to make any. They suggested the Mexican coffee. I guess most people are opting for frozen drinks in this 90 degree weather except for us die-hards. Parking is still hard to find a spot on main street, but they do have a drive thru if you just want to grab and go

Iced chocolate donut with toasted marshmallow cold foam
    Elizabeth P.

It's a cute little coffee shop with indoor and outdoor seating. Pets are not allowed inside but they are outside, and the front is kind of fenced off. Parking can be a little tricky but not impossible. They close at 3 on weekdays and 5 on Saturday, but double check before you go. They have a selection of sweet and savory treats but I didn't get any today. I got an iced medium chocolate donut drink with toasted marshmallow cold foam from their seasonal menu. The ice is crushed and I don't mind. Drink was about $7-ish and I think cold foam was $1 extra. It was really good, not too sweet and not too watered down. The toasted marshmallow tasted a little more on the coconut side but it was still delicious. I follow them on Instagram and they post daily different fun drink combos. So I like how customizable drinks are here. The woman taking my order was super nice. And the tip amount on the iPad starts at 18%. I didn't super pay attention but I'm sure you can do custom amounts too.

Easily found parking on the street. I was drawn by their Instagram where they make it clear they're empathetic and they'll help you figure out what you want. And it's true! I had no idea what to get. I told them I have the palate of a child- I don't do coffee or tea or carbonation or caffeine . So they custom-made me a Berry'd Alive with no lotus and no soda and real sugar in the flavor syrup. It's wonderful and exactly what I needed. AND I got the last gluten free muffin! Maple and brown sugar warmed in the oven. Yum!

I ordered the snickers in hopes it would be sweet but not overpowering. Maybe that was my mistake. I saw it and I was already nervous. The entire drink was dark brown. It looked like chocolate milk. Which idk, maybe that's what it's supposed to look like, but oh my goodness I couldn't even taste the extra shot of espresso I ordered. Literally straight hersheys syrup. So I poured half of it out, added some almond milk and it's still pretty concentrated. Idk I'm not the kind of person to veto a place for making one bad drink, but I like my coffee to taste like coffee lol. Hopefully next time I go it does! In other news, the raspberry muffin was yummy!

Immediately I liked the vibe-it's an edgy, totally local and co-created space with folks from the area. There is a bulletin board in the vestibule with fliers and posters about current events and services-totally haphazard and chaotic. Inside, there's art all over the place, unique decor and a calendar of events that look to be different support groups that meet here. How cool. This isn't a polished, bougie or uptight place. This is for real folks with real personalities and a bit of grit. And I like it. The coffee's pretty good too. ;-)

I wanted to find a traditional French boulangerie in SLC but did not see one, Zut alors!…read more I know Paris Baguette is a chain and has an Asian twist so we decided to visit on Saturday morning before driving back to Boise. It was early, and it was already busy. TIPs & TRICKs Follow the rules: Get the tray, then the wax paper liner, then use the individual wax papers at the stations to grab what you want. While you're doing that, pay attention to the pricing, because it can add it. To see the plain butter croissants empty already was shocking, but when we told the employee she came back to not only stock it but came to us first and let us pick which ones we wanted off the tray That was very nice The pain du chocolat looked good and were lacking in depth and flakiness of the crunch The Chausson aux Pommes - was really good - They could have used another minute or two in the oven to get that golden brown. They were looking like the pastly white guy at the beach while everyone else had a tan The mochi Dubai Chocolate donut was very good. The total was almost fifty bucks.... I told my wife that we could have about 40 croissants for that price if we were in Paris. C'est la vie! Look for a chain - Its pretty good. I didn't try the coffee but if they ever show up in Boise metro area, I would check them out to see if they match up with SLC.
