The Weeknd has a song on his Trilogy album named "Twenty Eight", hence the idea for the cake design. I specifically ordered this cake for the cake to have the song cover with "Twenty Eight" on it. I reached out to Cakes By Edith on instagram, sent them my cake inspiration and they sent back the exact picture I was wanting, with the song cover for Twenty Eight on the cake. When my boyfriend went to pick up the cake yesterday, the cake was missing the "Twenty Eight" part of the song cover entirely. This completely defeated the purpose of the cake as I am also in bodybuilding prep so I wasn't even going to be able to eat the cake, I just wanted it to take birthday pictures with and then to freeze and eat later after my bodybuilding show. And it's a complete missed opportunity as I only turn 28 once. I sobbed when I saw the cake because I knew even though I couldn't eat it, I was excited to have my perfect cake and Cakes By Edith did not deliver. They did not offer to fix it, nor give a price adjustment. Poorly handled business as I am a very unsatisfied customer. I hate to leave a bad review for a local business but since Cakes By Edith did not even attempt to offer to make things right, I cannot support this business and I will be ordering from a different local baker in the future. I thought that teapot would be cake, but she actually purchased a tea cup set and teapot. A for me bonus because I collect teapots (she had no idea)! I was very pleased with the outcome of the cake. It came out much better than I expected, since she said that she had never done one like it before. I didn't cut it until three days later and it was still good and fresh for the next few days. She also makes cupcakes and will deliver within 30 miles for an additional fee.

I understand she said that she wanted to make them special by adding flavor, but when you order vanilla cream cheese frosting and chocolate cake for kids, orange should not be "added" when these were custom ordered. She refused even a partial refund but apologized for changing my order. Waste of $50. I would not recommend this baker. The cupcakes were also very dry, unfortunately but I wouldn't have minded that if they were the flavor I signed off on in my order. I understand mistakes are made, but a good business takes care of their customers and tries to make it right. She also said she made extra for me to be nice but honestly, I would have preferred the correct cupcakes and less of them :(. Giving me more than I needed does not make up for making orange chocolate cupcakes instead of vanilla. I'd have been better off ordering from a grocery store.

We called few places that understandably couldn't pull off something. Meagan stepped in when we called her and did such an amazing job and was able to do everything we had asked in such a short timeframe. The wedding cake was beyond delicious and the French vanilla was so so good. We opted for a cream cheese filling and it was incredible. The cake cut so well for our ceremony and we just can't say enough great things about Sugar Sweets and Meagan. Seriously. I'm eating the rest of our cake all weekend on our honeymoon.

I was actually flying in for the graduation from out of town, and I ordered the cake over the internet. Amy (the business owner) made the process so easy. She took my order, and made the cake to my specifications. I paid her over PayPal. When I arrived in Utah, I picked up the cake and rented a cake-stand too. Everything was so convenient. The prices are quite reasonable. Including the cake-stand rental and a 15% tip, I paid about $225 for a two-tiered cake that served about 35 people. It might have fed more, but most of those people were teenagers. I was happy with the cake, happy with the price, and most of all I was happy with the convenient service. If you need a special cake for an event or a party, then Amy can hook you up.
