I placed an order with Cakes By Edith a few weeks ago for a cake for my 28th birthday. This cake…read morewas inspired by my favorite artist (The Weeknd) and a cake I had found on tiktok fit my vision perfectly. The Weeknd has a song on his Trilogy album named "Twenty Eight", hence the idea for the cake design. I specifically ordered this cake for the cake to have the song cover with "Twenty Eight" on it. I reached out to Cakes By Edith on instagram, sent them my cake inspiration and they sent back the exact picture I was wanting, with the song cover for Twenty Eight on the cake. When my boyfriend went to pick up the cake yesterday, the cake was missing the "Twenty Eight" part of the song cover entirely. This completely defeated the purpose of the cake as I am also in bodybuilding prep so I wasn't even going to be able to eat the cake, I just wanted it to take birthday pictures with and then to freeze and eat later after my bodybuilding show. And it's a complete missed opportunity as I only turn 28 once. I sobbed when I saw the cake because I knew even though I couldn't eat it, I was excited to have my perfect cake and Cakes By Edith did not deliver. They did not offer to fix it, nor give a price adjustment. Poorly handled business as I am a very unsatisfied customer. I hate to leave a bad review for a local business but since Cakes By Edith did not even attempt to offer to make things right, I cannot support this business and I will be ordering from a different local baker in the future. I will add pictures/screenshots from the instagram chat. What my inspiration was, and what I received.

I like to try and find a more unique birthday pastry for my wife each year. Then I started getting…read morecupcakes because we can get a variety of flavors and it's easier to share than a cake. I searched a few different sites, it can be hard judging cupcakes just by a website, and frankly it surprises me that in today's digital world people still have such awful websites. I landed on Heaven Cupcakes because their website and social media profiles are up to date and look great with a variety of cupcake designs. I chose to go with a 3 flavor variety pack of 12, and I emailed to ask if they would do something special on just 1 of the cupcakes for my wife. I wasn't doing a custom order so I was just thinking I'd get 12 cupcakes with standard frosting and then maybe 1 with something special. The box got here this morning and OMG, they are beautiful. They had asked what my wife may like and I mentioned she's pregnant and really into Lucky Charms. The cupcakes look like a classy, fashionista blend of flowers, fashion and Lucky Charms. I am blown away by what they did. AND THEY DELIVERED THEM TO MY HOUSE! If I could give 10 stars I would.
