Not only did the cake not match what I requested, but the service was also unprofessional and unhelpful when I brought up the issue. I went into the store this Saturday since my husband ordered a cake for my birthday, and the details I ordered was nothing like what they gave me. I asked for a light pink and darker pink as I shared the inspo picture I had through IG for visibility. She writes down "Fuchsia" as the color. Since, there is different types of Fuschia colors I trusted she will follow my picture and did not bother to tell her anything when placing the order. Additionally, I had asked for gold pearls on the cake and when I went to pick it up it had white ones instead and my receipt also stated gold ones! If I could give it 0 stars, I would without hesitation. This was an important occasion, and their lack of attention to detail and poor customer service ruined what should have been a memorable stress free experience. While I waited for them to switch the pearls to gold ones. I politely explained my disappointment with the cake. I was met with no understanding and attitude from Alma. She said "For her the colors where the same and ask me you wouldn't take a picture of it" I said no, as most people follow a birthday party color theme. Which it's pretty absurd she doesn't know that. She then had the nerve to ask "why is it important to have that color I asked for". First of all its a special day being celebrated, and second of all I am the customer putting my trust in you. As, she mentioned when I showed her my inspo "yeah I can do that". Clearly, she could not. What's the point of being asked "How do you want your cake"? If they dont even follow the inspo picture to make matters easy or details taken down. Is like are we in McDonald's and just given what they want/ have instead? Color did not match the inspo and as I try to explained she mentions she sees it "as a different perspective " and "that maybe she needs her eyes checked" just being sarcastic the whole time. And, I agree she really needs to her vision checked out and attitude! She also needs to go back to Kindergarten and learn her colors again. There was no point mentioning my concerns as she was right and always answered back with sarcasm. Unfortunately, there was no apology or acknowledgement provided regarding the issue. I would recommend reconsidering visiting this establishment and the Taylorsville location if correct order details and attentive customer service are important to you. This is the last time I'll buy a cake here! I've been a loyal customer for over 10 years being tolerant about cake ordering not being what I asked for. So many instances cakes were not what I asked and having to wait additional time from the pickup time to get it fixed then after and always decided to come back! And, now as I can tell they treat their customers this way as soon as a concern arises based on previous reviews. They will always be right, not the customer in this business. They expect full payment and I know they stated before in their policies they don't delivered same expectations of what's requested which it's fair but why a simple color can be done.
