1/2 Chocolate Chip 1/2 PB Cazookie The Husband - Slice

I have loved to see the evolution of The Chocolate over the years. They started out as a small bakery and have become very well known in the city. Their cake, Cazookies and cookies are all amazing! They bring the dessert out quickly and each time it is a pleasant experience!

Such a cute cozy little cottage full of delicious sweet desserts and treats! The cazookies took a bit of cooking time but they came out hot and amazing! So yummy!

The Chocolate is my absolute favorite dessert place in all of Utah. Their cakes are almost as good as mine. Each one has so much thought put into every flavor. They are absolutely beautiful, decadent and delicious. I've tried almost every cake flavor and I love that they have weekly flavors to try. My husband's favorite flavor is "The Husband" it is a yellow cake with chocolate ganache frosting and it is just one of the best cakes I've had that isn't my own. I could go on and on about this place. I've been going here for five years and it's always the best and exactly what Utah needed. Cake by the slice is great. On top of everything the service is fast and friendly. The cafes are beautiful. The vintage houses with the vintages touches makes it cozy. I recommend this place to everyone all the time. I always get my birthday cakes from here and same with my mom's. While the cakes may be a little pricey it's worth it. They are always decorated beautifully. Also try their sandwich cookies. I have yet to try their cazookies but they look great!

I haven't been to The Chocolate since college, so when I saw the sign while driving through West Valley, I couldn't resist. I'll admit, I've only ever tried one dish and I will continue to only order one dish because I'm confined it cannot be beat: the white chocolate macadamia nut cazookie. It's salty, it's sweet, and it's chewy & creamy. It may be the perfect dessert. And who doesn't love eating dessert inside of a home?! The store/layout is so comfy and inviting. You literally sit in a house that always smells like cookies and cakes. It may be the closest thing to heaven. If you're a dessert fan, you absolutely need to try The Chocolate. It's such a fun way to enjoy a sweet treat...or three.

Want a dessert! They have plenty of cakes to choose from. Their cazookie is really good! I liked the red velvet. The husband cake is good. Funfetti is bomb! Chocolate cookie sandwich taste like a soft orea. The place has plenty of seating. I like the different rooms. I want to stay one day, try a hot chocolate. Most of the time we take to go.

Rating (maximum points = 5) Value for money: 5 Cleanliness: 5 Food Quality: 4 Customer Service: 4 Look and Feel (Ambiance): 5 Thank you, Come Again?: 4 If you're driving down 9000 s on Redwood Road in West Jordan City, you might just come across a building that resembles a simple home. What you might not know is that this isn't just a house. It's a chocolate/dessert factory in the shape of a house. From my understanding the building was deemed a historic home in the state of Utah and the Chocolate company turned it into a confectionary dreamland. The Chocolate has two locations, 1/West Jordan and 2/Orem. For this trip, my party and I attended the West Jordan dessert spot. The lobby entrance is quite small but you are instantly presented with a display case of cakes, sweets, cookies, and truffle goodness. When it comes to eating, the eyes do eat first. White Chocolate Raspberry and Lemon buttercream (cake of the week): $6.35 per slice - I loved the freshness of the raspberry in this cake. It was nice and tart and cut straight through the rich buttery sweetness of the lemon butter cream. I loved how you can see the seeds of the raspberry in the cake. Nowadays, most cakes just settle for the factory made bottled syrups. The cake was a little dense but not too "stodgy" as Paul Hollywood would say. Chocolate Chip Cazookie: $12.00 - this dessert is enough for two people and comes out warm with a perfect spherical scoop of vanilla ice cream. Yum yum and double yum. Love the hot and cold sensation this dessert provides. Peppermint Hot Chocolate: $4.25 - I was really excited to try out this drink but was unfortunatley disappointed. The peppermint extract was too much and had an "alcoholic" after taste. The hot chocolate itself tasted like a combination of standard Stephens or Swiss Mix and hot water. There is a huge opportunity to redo the recipe for this beverage. Also, I didn't see an option of marshmallows. Another opportunity to make some homemade fluffy sticky marshmallow topping. If that's too much, then simple homemade whipped cream would be a good option too. Check out Ned Flanders' flaming hot chocolate for inspiration. https://youtu.be/8ow3rTRzWAg?feature=shared Overall, I would return and recommend this cozy dessert shop. They have signature items and a changing menu to keep customers coming back. Would you go? Let me know. Follow me for all the Salt City sips and trips.

This small dessert shop is located in a converted house, which really makes you feel like an afternoon tea party. The shop itself has a decent variety of menu items like cake, cookies, but more variety than most of the other dessert shops in town. They covered the basics with flavors. I enjoyed the cake, and the cazookie, and definitely want to try more items on the menu. These are solid choices but I wasn't blown away with flavors and consistency. The staff were pleasant and quick to get our order out. I will absolutely visit again to try more items.

I have drove many time in front of this establishment; wondering how good could be having a good quality hot beverage; so, I decided to pay a visit. BIG MISTAKE! First the server didn't know what "spice hot chocolate" was; therefore, my GF ordered a "regular", and I still went with the Spice one. What a joke, nothing but whipped cream (nasty). To be honest with you, I would rather stop by a gas station and get me a hot coco; by the way did I mentioned the hot coco was Cold Coco? And paid $17.

Wow! This place was awesome! We tried the pretzel cake, the yellow cake and the funfetti. We all voted the funfetti the best, the snickerdoodle cookie was very good to me! I like that they have a seating area and that you can enjoy a piece of cake or cookie. Very cool little house

Good hang out spot for desserts and hot cocoa! Yes, it's in a house turned into a business off of Redwood but don't be alarmed - there's sweetness behind that front door :) I've been here several times over the years, but most recently with my newish to Utah brother that has never been here. I love cookies in a pan with ice cream so yes, I get their cazookies here. White chocolate macadamia nut is my go to and most likely my favorite for anywhere that has this as an option. I also tried a dessert bar with coconut shavings on top - it's giving Almond Joy. It was good but probably not something I would get again. Their salted caramel cookie was pretty damn good and is definitely on my to get again list. While this place looks clean and well kept, when I order my cazookie, I ask for it to be baked in a to go tin. It tastes like metal when it's cooked in the regular tin for dine in. Their spoon as well - get a plastic spoon. My guess is whatever they clean their dishes with is so clean, the metal flavoring comes thru LOL Service was polite and quick. There is a ramp to go thru the front door and depending on the disability (size of wheelchair, etc) accommodation needed, it may work for you. Parking is always free of crowds and looks well kept as well. Not sure if that part has anything to do with the business itself.

Darling old house converted into a dessert shop. Really cute. Have a variety of cakes, cookies, drinks, hot and cold. Known for their Cazookie, the skillet cookie, with ice cream on top. You can get a Cadbury egg one now. You can even get two flavors in the skillet. Heard the Husband cake is the best, but have yet to try it. Right now they have a strawberry frosted vanilla cake which is their monthly cake--it's amazing!

I've loved the chocolate for years and it never disappoints. This time I brought a few friends who were gluten free and loved that they make and serve their gluten free items in different pans so that there is no cross contamination or accidents. The gluten free items were actually delicious, whereas lots of other places the gluten free items fall short. My order is always a half and half cazookie, but this time I tried the magic potato (which is gluten free!) and it was SO GOOD. I will probably order that next time over the cazookie, which is saying something. I have friends who love the oatmeal cream pies as well. I brought my husband home the peanut butter brownie and in nine years I have never seen him enjoy a dessert so much. He was literally drooling. I personally don't love the cakes and didn't love the brownie, but so many other people (my husband included), really do, so give those a try as well. I think this is the best dessert bakery for a girls night or date night. 5/5 stars for sure!

I'm a fan of this place. Nice parking lot with lots of spaces. Cute rooms with an eclectic mix of chairs. Good for a date or a larger group! I appreciate that they have a few gluten-free things on the menu. I love both the magic potato and the brownie sundae and usually have a hard time deciding which to get! Today I was craving chocolate and went with the sundae. The brownie is warm and fudgey. Ice cream melting into a brownie is always a good thing. And I like that it's real creamy whipped cream- not the canned stuff!

My parents in West Jordan. I like to get them treats on occasion. Getting a good product, you never see and getting it to them at the right time has been the challenge. This latest occasion was for Father's Day 2023. I looked up some local bakeries on google that I hoped could deliver in time and had good reviews. I didn't know what to expect when I got in touch with the Flour Box Bakery. It was after hours when I sent a message on their website, expecting to be contacted the next day. I received a message from Gienie (pronounced Jenny if I'm not mistaken) at 9:42 PM that night. We texted and agreed Friday at 9AM to talk. As agreed, she called me on time. Of course, as timing goes, I wasn't available to talk. She texted me again to follow up. We texted and talked and all of it was smooth and helpful. Initially I was looking for delivery but upon ordering I had a change of plans. I bounced back and forth between pickup and delivery a few times. Gienie was amazing and patient with her accommodations. Not only did she take care of what I needed, she gave great advice. She texted me when the baking was completed and another when it was delivered. She also threw in a few favorites as "extras" at no charge, which was not necessary but appreciated. I didn't get to personally taste the product being in Idaho. I did confirm with my parents, Aunt, Uncle, Brother and Sister who all gave rave reviews on the baked goods. I look forward to trying other products and will be ordering more on my next trip to visit. Thank you Gienie.

When I visited another time I saw there were a few of those items on display and I decided to try one for myself. It was called Taro Mochi Dried Meat Floss Cake. It sounds like it wouldn't work, but to my surprise I quite enjoyed it. Semi-sweet cream filling and chewy fresh mochi sandwiched between light and fluffy sponge cake then rolled in a dried meat floss and what looked to be nori. The smell was a little pungent, but I always try something once. I never know what I may like until I've tried it and this is definitely a "Don't Yuck My Yum" situation. None of the items are named or described, so unless you're already familiar with traditional Mexican pastries, it can be a bit of a guessing game.
