I don't typically leave negative reviews, but I feel inclined to comment, more as a heads up and warning to others. Stopped for a quick breakfast today thinking Kneaders would be a safe choice for a croissant sandwich, but could not have been more wrong. Every table was dirty, so my Mom and I picked the cleanest we could see, and wiped down the rest of the mess ourselves. When our 'sandwiches' came they were both soggy, flat and questionably cooked. After a few bites we threw them both in the garbage and left feeling immediate regret, with stomachs turning over. It was that bad. 10/10 do not recommend. read more

I get drive-thru a lot a since it's close to my home. They are consistent with the quality of service and food. I enjoy their salads, sandwich combos with soup, my favorite is broccoli cheese. The cookies and brownies are delicious and my personal favorite pie is the raspberry cream! What a busy place this is on a Saturday! This is a carbaholic heaven! The croissant breakfast sandwiches are delicious. If you can't do dairy, you can ask for no cheese. Wow, this place has gone downhill. Service is slow, but the place is filthy. Every single unoccupied table was disgusting and dirty. Crumbs were all over the floor, the trash was overflowing. The turkey/bacon/avocado sandwich I had was meh, but the key lime pie was the biggest disappointment. I used to love their key lime tarts, but the pie is literally a whipped cream pie with a thin layer of key lime--for $4. Someone needs to take better pride in this place. Ok kneaders I am a slut for your turkey bacon on focaccia but let's talk about breakfast. The food is pretty ok. The whipped cream is tasting a lot like marshmallow fluff (very sugary). The big problem is the plates you guys are using. What are these orange things? These are straight up cafeteria plates. They do not make me feel good inside. They make your food look cheap and unimpressive. The presentation needs some work! You pay so much for french toast and you are given two tiny pieces on this huge plate. Kneaders is a fairly safe go-to if you are needing to decide on something fast but I haven't had much there that I will rave about. Sometimes their bread is a little dry, sometimes they are out of all their soups, and sometimes the service seems a little inexperienced. My beef with my last Kneaders experience was my realization that there aren't many healthy (or healthy-ish) options for breakfast. I ended up getting the ham, cheese and egg-white sandwich on their rustic rye bread and it really was such a letdown. I don't think I've ever met a breakfast sandwich that I didn't like. It was dry and flavorless. The bread was nothing special. I guess if I go to Kneaders I just need to go big or go home with their French Toast because that stuff is something else. I went here for a quick treat for myself before heading home to my kids during some rare alone time. It wasn't peak dinner hours, so I thought it would be quick. The wait was over 40 minutes! And of course once you're in the drive thru, you're trapped, there's no room to get out of line, otherwise I WOULD have just left. No treat is worth 40 minutes of waiting. I finally have my chance to pull up to the window, and I thought there might be a packed lobby, and that was the reason for the wait, but no. Not a single person in line. There were three employees on shift and they were pretty dang relaxed about the line of cars waiting and waiting. They were talking and flirting, only one girl was attempting to fill my very small order of a bread pudding, and taking her sweet time doing it. Pausing to chat and flirt with her coworkers several times. She microwaved my pudding way too long and it about burned my mouth when I finally got to take a bite. I only ordered the bread pudding because I've weakness for the cream sauce that comes with it. The girl handed me my to hot pudding and says, "Oh, I guess we're out of the cream sauce that goes with that." *Disbelief over this much hassle over a simple treat* "are you sure? That's the only reason I ordered the bread pudding." "Yeah, I'm sure" goes back to look, while the other two employees are talking and flirting, one putting in barely an effort to sweep the floors, but no one filling the orders for the people in line behind me. She comes back and says "oh I found some" and pours a thin, room temperature version of the cream sauce I'm used to. I haven't been to this location for a long time, but looks like their standards for employees have reached the bottom of the barrel. Pathetic service. Looks like the Panera Bread of Utah. Not bad but not excellent. I was expecting much more because from outside looks like my mom & pop shop, not a chain and has that old gone days type of charm. The breads saluting from the shelves were enticing, however my turkey sandwich was just ok, the bread was not warmed up like advertised for a panini and the chips that came along tasted funky. Went to Kneaders this evening at about 745 pm and ordered dinner. While we were waiting for our order, we couldnt find a table to sit down at. There were several tables available however, they were all dirty. We had to ask several times to have someone come out to wipe one off. They finally did however, the cloth that she used was dirty looking and I asked her if it was clean...She assured me that it was however, when she left, the table smelled bad, like an old dishcloth.I had to wipe it off again with some napkins and water. In addition, she didnt wipe off the chairs which were equally as dirty nor clean up the floor underneath the table. There was stuff all oer.Before we sat down, we also wiped off the chairs. As we ate, one of the workers was opening the garbage can receptacles and pushing the garbage down with his bare hands. He didnt have gloves on and as we watched, he continued through the restaurant emptying the other garbage cans. When he was done he started stocking the napkin dispensers, the drinking cups and lids and even went to the counter and helped a customer with her order. He NEVER washed his hands. We were prerry discusted. Have been going to Kneaders for years and have never seen such a mess on the floor and an overall dirty conditions. Was truly unimpressed and probably wont be going back anytime soon. read more

**Update** They called me! I will update again soon! I have delighted in visiting kneaders often with friends, family and even on birthdays. I love it so much, I often purchase bread for neighbors and those I feel need a special gift. I have always loved kneaders quality of food, friendly customer service and cozy atmosphere. The food is always a special treat, and I feel it something to spend a little extra on. I visited the Orem kneaders a few days ago. I was excited to order the gingerbread cookies for my kids and a delicious turkey bacon sandwich for myself. It had been a long day, and I was looking forward to my kneaders fix that evening. The line was very long, but I don't mind waiting for good food. I ordered and got up to the window. It was an extra long wait, because I was told my sandwich was made on the wrong bread. They were fixing it for me. We waited an additional 10 minutes at the window. The girl helping seemed very bothered, and did not apologize for our wait. We finally got our food and went home to eat. My kids were eagerly opening their cookie bags to eat their special gingerbread cookies. To our disappointment, they made the mistake of putting Turkey cookies in place of the gingerbread cookies. We were not told they would be turkey cookies. They were sad and disappointed. The cookies were also way stale and over baked, which has never been an experience we have had before. The cookies we ordered have always been fresh tasting. The sandwich I ordered was also missing the avocado and it was very dry with almost no kneaders sauce. I feel like it was missing the best part of the sandwich! I reached out to the company and never got a response. Will I visit kneaders again? Probably so, but maybe the one in provo. :( read more

Last night I took my daughter out on a date and we ended up at kneaders because she wanted pie. They were kind of cleaned out so I got their German chocolate bread pudding. I was planning on eating half of it and taking the rest home to my wife. I ate the entire thing in 50 seconds and went back and ordered 5 more because it was Saturday night and they were trying to get rid of stuff, so everything that had to be refrigerated was 1/2 off. I ate another one when we got home last night. Another one when I woke up this morning. Another one before church. And I just came home from church early to eat the last one. Clearly I suffer from addiction. What's worse is that I'm a diabetic. My body is currently shaking and I feel numbness in my extremities. And the saddest part is that I don't regret my decision. If I had 3 more German chocolate bread puddings in front of me right now, I wouldn't hesitate to eat all 3 of them, even though it would undoubtedly kill me. Part of the reason I'm writing this is because I will be at Kneaders again on Monday ordering more German chocolate bread pudding (against my physicians best wishes). I want to absolve Kneaders of any culpability related to my death, if indeed death by diabetic induced coma becomes my fate. To my family, I love you and will miss you. We used to be die hard kneaders fans, going there at least twice a week. But lately we've only gone once or twice a month because the quality, the portion sizes and everything else has gone SO downhill. Both me and my husband ordered the bacon, egg and cheese breakfast croissant and it was hastily made, thrown together and there was 1 measly tiny piece of bacon on there. We also ordered the pancakes for my child and they were burnt in places. We ordered cheesecake slices to go, and they are TINY for what they charge. This isn't a one off bad visit. Have you ever tried Wedding Cake from Kneaders? I've been to a lot of weddings and they by far make the best wedding cake I have ever tasted. After my brother had his wedding cake made by them, I fell in love with their flavors and decided to have them make mine also. First, I had a meeting with Lindsay, the girl who makes the cakes. We went over the sizes for different layers which included height and diameter. She gave me a large list of all the options I had for the cake flavor and the fillings. I decided to do each layer a different flavor and filling and I chose: Chocolate with Raspberry filling, Carrot Cake (cant remember the filling), Cinnamon Spice Cake with Cinnamon Spice filling, and Pumpkin Spice with Chocolate Chips and Spice Filling. Lindsay had no problem making my cake all these different flavors and was more than willing. She also went over cake decorating with me. I chose to have the frosting an off-white color, with a ribbon of 2 inch burlap wrapped once around the bottom of each layer, and a white ribbon wrapped on top of the burlap and tied at the front in little bows. I wanted my cake to be the center of attention and large. In the end it weighed about 60 lbs. They delivered my cake to the reception, placed it neatly on my cake stand, and added the topper I had bought from my florist. It looked beautiful and better than I had imagined and was very impressive. Everyone was very excited to try my cake because it was from Kneaders and it was delicious! I actually got to try my cake which most brides dont get the chance to :) We didn't end up saving the top piece to eat on our anniversary. Heres why: If they made your wedding cake, they keep a record of your cake top flavor for a year, for your 1st anniversary you can contact them and they will make you a replica of that top layer of your wedding cake free of charge!! Overall, I had a great experience having them make my cake. Yes, they are pricier than a grocery store, but this is no average cake, you get what you pay for, and if you want one of the best cakes for your wedding you wont be disappointed with the cakes Kneaders makes. read more

My boyfriend and I were enticed to brunch at Kneaders today because it was a beautiful day and it's walking distance from his place. Quite a nice combination. I must say, the food was extremely tasty as well. I had the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich, and he had the ham, egg, and cheese sandwich. There isn't a large selection of breakfast items, but it was good enough for me. The sandwiches came out quickly and I have nothing but good things to say about mine. The bread was the best part (this is a bakery, right?) but the eggs and bacon were also super fresh and full of awesomeness. I am a huge Kneaders fan, but that has been from years of learning what to order and what not to order. Their French toast haunts my dreams, and their Hazelnut 12 Grain is probably my favorite bread that I've ever had, anywhere. And in the fall they have this divine pumpkiny loaf that I can gobble down in one sitting. In general, the sandwiches are solid. Their fresh-carved turkey in particular is stellar and something I highly recommend. However, there are some things that just aren't at the 5-star level, many of which are the desserts. They're good, don't get me wrong, but I don't finish them wishing there was more. The bread puddings have always disappointed me, although I love mine super moist and custardy. The cream cheese brownie is the best of the brownies, although sometimes I feel they skimp on the cream cheese. The chocolate croissant is a mediocre version of my favorite pastry. I've never been impressed with their cheesecakes or cookies. As far as the savory items go, the French dip was a disappointment--particularly the au jus. The service at this Kneaders location leaves a lot to be desired. I've had food spilled on me by staff and orders forgotten. But that doesn't keep me from coming back--I love the food too much! read more

The moment I walked in I said to my wife, "This actually is my favorite place in the world. Why did no one tell me?" I just really have a thing for deli's and bakeries, and I absolutely loved this place! Both my wife and I got the turkey bacon avocado on focaccia and it was killer, but next time I might ask for a little more of the kneaders sauce on it. She got the soup, which was on par, and I got the eclair which was phenomenal. The prices are perfectly reasonable - they really do give you a lot of food. It's the atmosphere that really makes this place. Kneaders just has a very vibrant personality. And yeah, as much as craft stores bore me to tears, I have to admit it's the hip-mormon-mom craftiness (and the clientele it attracts) that lights this place up. We went during lunch time when 2/3 of the tables were full and it was just buzzing with life. I loved it. Very fun. read more
