I tried the strawberry and cream donut. Oh my gosh, so dang good. And what am I saying? It wasn't just good it was freaking amazing!!! It wasn't cloyingly sweet where it would make your stomach sick, which is what you might think when you saw it! Most of the donuts there were filled donuts and I'm not a huge fan of filled donuts because most of the time the combination of the donut and the filling does make you feel sick after eating one. But I heard the check out lady talking about how they made the cream for the donut I tried and I knew it was the one for me! I do wish they had options like a plain chocolate cake donut with chocolate icing. But this is more of a gourmet shop than your local, average donut shop, so I understand why they don't. I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 because the checkout lady was a bit scatter brained and didn't ask me if I wanted a receipt. When I asked for one she got even more flustered and couldn't figure out how to give me one and basically said oh well - you just can't have one. We tried nearly every donut! They were pretty mid tier. Not a lot of strong flavoring, just tasted like fryer oil and granulated sugar on most. Not the worst pricing but not really worth it either. The service and decor was great!! read more

We stopped by for an after dinner sugar overdose and this place definitely provided! We loved the selection of drinks/shakes/smoothies and they really hit the spot. I opted for one of the small cakes and really enjoyed it. The cute little container made it easy to transport the leftovers and it stored well in the fridge until we could polish it off later. The donuts were a bit underwhelming. Very heavy and greasy. The fillings and toppings were good but we couldn't get past the cake. Not bad, just not great. Go for the sugar, go for the drinks, go for the cakes. Perhaps try one of the donuts in case we caught them on a day that wasn't their best. read more

I have loved Chubby Baker for years from when they started to make deliveries in Salt Lake City. We are excited they have opened a beautiful location in Orem! They welcomed us with smiles and happiness. The decor is a delight with a flower wall and soft pink decor. The Asian-inspired drinks come in a variety of options. The cakes are heaven and you are going to love them. We started with the banana pudding and are moving on to the decadent chocolate. The donuts are where they started and the flavors are knockouts. I feel like the look of this place doesn't scream "Asian American Bakery" at ALL. Thank goodness someone told me about it or I wouldn't have set foot in this place haha (it looks like any other Utah bakery catered to girls in their 20s). That being said, the Asian-flavored donuts here are amazing. I love all things ube, coconut, passionfruit, etc. and this place HAS IT. The donuts themselves are denser, but so soft and don't taste too sweet/heavy. My personal favorites are the ube cream donut and the Thai young coconut donut; the flavors are there but not too overpowering and the cream fillings are light & fluffy. The fruit-flavored donut fillings have perfect tartness that are balanced out with the sugar-dusted donuts! (I haven't tried the cake boxes or drinks yet.) I went to Orem with large intentions of going to the mall for a smoothie but due to an unforseen screaming child that did not happen. I stopped in the parking lot to look for a smoothie drive thru and low and behold in my review mirror I saw the smoothies on the menu. I got peach and the screaming child got mango. They were quite large and very delicious. They weren't too sweet or tart and didn't have random chunks of ice through out. They were just good. They tasted really fresh and it took a few minutes for them to make them which solidifies the freshness for me. read more

Solid deserts, but where else but Utah is there deserts everywhere you look, as it's a competitive sugar state. The service was friendly, but I must say, generally speaking Utah is a nice state with great residents who have welcoming dispositions. We must have hit about a half dozen sweet shops the day we went here, so might have been too amped up on a sugar rush or high, where everything tasted the same, but all tasted good. such a cute dessert spot! bf & i were visiting from out of state & i wanted asian-inspired desserts. what we really liked was how convenient service was as they had a drive through. unfortunately we went later in the day so we couldn't try all the sweets we wanted to on the menu. but we got 2 strawberry & cream donuts & they did not disappoint! warning if you are planning to eat in the car: it does get messy very quickly so remember to have some napkins & hand wipes handy. the service was great & the employee that took our order was very sweet. we will most definitely come back next time to try the other pasties & drinks! worth a visit! read more

I've been here a few times and tried a few menu items. Would definitely recommend the strawberries and cream donut, it was well balanced and not too sweet with fresh strawberries. The lady at the counter was really nice and one of the donuts was good which is why I give it 2 stars. The donuts here are EXTREMELY over priced. I got half a dozen which cost me about $25, so my expectations were high. Maple bar - It couldn't have been more than 5 inches long (about the size of an Apple TV remote). ***The dough was as good as any gas station donut which can be said about the rest of the donuts that I got. The highlight was the frosting which I thought was creamy. Kit Kat - a chocolate donut. There was what appeared to be crumbled Kit Kat on top. Unfortunately the taste and texture of the Kit Kat bits was stale. Forrero Rocher - I had really high expectations especially since it was about $5. Like the Kit Kat donut, the Forrero Rocher piece on top was stale. The inside is filled with a mousse that left me unimpressed Strawberry sprinkle - This was supposed to resemble the Simpsons donut which it did. The frosting on this actually had somewhat of a "strawberry" taste. Coconut Crème - I would have enjoyed this one more if the coconut flavor wasn't so watered down. I mainly tasted donut when I wanted coconut. Passion Fruit - I think the only donut that MIGHT have been worth it. A crème filled donut with some passion fruit jelly (?) on top. I actually really enjoyed this one and thought the passion fruit flavor came out really well. This was my first time at this establishment and very rarely will I only visit a place once especially where I've had a bad experience. These donuts are delicious! They are really big and easy to eat. We only tried the donuts but they have other options too like smoothies, shakes, and cake. My personal favorite was the seasonal pumpkin caramel donut and my husbands favorite was the coconut donut. The staff took us under their wing when we told them we had never been here before and gave us a run down of the place and the favorites. Also the inside is so cute and we loved the packaging to take our donuts home. It is a little more on the expensive side so if you are not wanting to pay a ton I suggest going to a different bakery but it is super yummy and if you find a fav then it might be worth just getting that one rather than a dozen or half dozen. read more

I have been underwhelmed by places that offer cakes or doughnuts, and go way too over the top I don't even know what is happening. This place was so good! made fun flavors that are just the right touch, and kept simplicity in other's so you can really hone in on the taste of a really awesome baked good.
