Luckys is my favorite pho in Seattle. It's always incredibly clean, friendly service, and quick. Perfect hangover cure too.

First: 4 stars for me is a very good review. Second, this review is based on two separate visits ordering bánh mì sandwiches. In short, they are very good. I ordered the pork bahn mi sandwich and there was a great deal of pork on the sandwich they did not skimp. There was also lots of flavor meaning sauce and seasoning. Sure, it's a little bit more than your bahn mi sandwich in places in Little Saigon over by Jackson Street. And both are worth it, but this sandwich is very special and I highly recommend it. Been coming here ever since new management (used to drop by under old mamagement, this is definitely a different take!) I love the pho here! The employees always have a smile, and they have Clover for customer appreciation stamp card. The Pho options are "Phobulous!" I tend to get regular with beef, meatballs & tendon, and assorted veggies & truffle oil. Quite reasonably priced, comfortable music, and, most importantly, some of the tastiest pho in Seattle. I've had pho across the Pacific Northwest and all over Seattle, and I can confidently say this place is in the top 10, if not top 3! I very strongly recommend Lucky's Pho. read more

It's open later than nearby pho options so I stumbled in one day, 27 minutes before closing. I guess they only do take out 30 minutes before closing (fair enough). I don't know if it's fair to judge take-out pho, as I like it to be piping hot. We microwaved it at home, still pretty decent. I got the tendon pho. Not my favorite pho in the world, but I may be back as it's close and easy to get to from where I am, just across the fremont Bridge, also right by the 62 bus stop. Lucky's gained new management ~a month ago, so ignore any reviews before that! The place did a 180 and is now my favorite pho in King County. Since moving to Seattle almost 4 years ago I have been looking for pho with broth that meets my expectations and nothing has been rich and spiced well before I had a bowl at the new Lucky's. You get a rich beef flavor without too much sweetness, and a good amount of anise and other earthy flavors while tasting clean and low in oil. The veggies are a little disappointing in amount/availability at the counter but everything else makes up for that. Good steak and meatballs. Today I tried out the bahn mi and it was heavenly. Unfortunately they don't have the classic cold cuts and patê but they slow cook their beef and pork making it taste like a meaty fat cloud you barely need to chew. Their baguette looks a little too big at first, but it's so fluffy it smashes down well with a big crunch. If you're in the neighborhood stop by. If you're an hour away, stop by. read more

Found this hidden gem inside downtown Fremont. It's the best Pho in Seattle especially with their signature spicy sauce. They also serve boba!!! Their boba is sweet and chewy just like traditional boba shops. My girlfriend really likes the modern interior and it's really clean and bright. I would definitely come back for my next Pho craving. read more

As a transitioning vegetarian, this makes me really happy to find veggie broth that is just as good as traditional beef broth! soup comes with lots of veggies which taste super fresh and overall you feel super satisfied after, without feeling bogged down or bloated (like I've had with greasy pho in the past). First time having sandwiches to go from Lucky's for my family! They called this brisket cooked by 24 hrs, makes me curious. The meat inside was so tender and juicy, come with fresh vegetables and Pickled radish, makes taste is rich and fresh! This is a review for vegetarian options at Lucky's. The veggie pho gets a 2.5 in my book. It has lots of fresh veggies and a variety of veggies. It doesn't have those weird canned mushrooms or baby corn. It has bok choy, broccoli, carrots, cabbage and green beans. However the broth hardly had any flavor. So if you are hungry and you are near, it will do but don't get in your car and come here for veggie pho. Not worth it. Now here is what IS worth it. The tofu tacos!!!!!! So great. After walking past Lucky's for years, I finally decided to stop in. Before I did, I checked Yelp to be sure they had more than pho since I like a variety of dishes. When I got there, I reviewed the menu consisting of pho, bahn mi, vermicelli bowls, and of all things, Korean BBQ tacos and bowls. Hmmmm...not really what I was expecting. No matter, let's give it a try. The beef pho broth was okay. It wasn't full of complex notes but the easily identifiable ones that you tend to find in pho. The BBQ tacos were surprisingly good. However, the experience could be improved with an additional tortilla because one simply fell apart. The vermicelli bowl had most of the correct ingredients but the flavors were slightly off. For instance, lemongrass pork or BBQ pork is what I expect to find. It was made of Korean BBQ pork which was tender but had flavors that didn't exactly match. The sauce had a bit of fish sauce in it but had stronger notes of ginger and soy. The carrots and radish were grated in small strips. the noodles were ice cold when they were served. The meat was also cold. Too much iceberg lettuce and too little cilantro completed the effect. Overall, I don't think I would go back for any of the Vietnamese offerings. I would consider the Korean BBQ dishes. The server was not talkative. The man who brought out everyone's food was very nice. read more

Lucky's Pho is my all time favorite. They have the best pho I've ever had. It's gluten free / safe and the lady that always serves me (is she the owner?) is so polite and gracious and sweet. I order extra this that and everything, I always ask her to charge me extra above the norm and she never does. I tip extra. I want them to be happy and stay in a thriving business forever! These folks, all of the staff, are exemplary, the best examples of flawless, gracious servitude. I never leave here wanting, or wishing for a little more or better experience. It's 5-star at its finest. And with a smile. Amazing that people like this exist in the service industry and give me great joy. I felt like a Lucky Mo Pho, for getting to try some new Pho. Than Bros is my baseline for great Pho at a great price. Lucky has a slightly different take. It's very clean and new. The ambiance is more of a Jama Juice than a grimy family place. The Pho is pretty awesome. It has lots of veggies. You get less herbs on the side. No creme puff. I want to go back to try their sandwiches. The prices are "Google is two blocks from here" adjusted, so don't go looking for Siagon Deli prices. I haven't had any of their Pho (yet), but I've been by a couple of times to satisfy my recent addiction to Bubble Tea. The first time I came in and got the Green Tea variety. It was very tasty and did a great job satisfying my craving. The guy was nice enough, but we didn't have much of a conversation. I was a tiny bit disappointed that he didn't give any response to my "I'm a little bit addicted to Bubble Tea lately." statement. I was kind of expecting something along the lines of "Great!" or "We'd love to help you out with that." The second visit was a bit less positive because I got the raspberry flavor, and that was way too syrupy. I'm not sure if the flavor was just too sweet or they didn't mix it up properly. In Seattle to visit for the first time and stayed in the Fremont area. We were craving pho on our last night here, and the options are really quite limited. We walked over to Lucky's Pho in the rain. From the pictures, we were expecting pretty bad tasting pho- but we were really craving noodle soup, so we went anyway. I ordered a small chicken pho, because I was afraid it would be awful, but it was actually surprisingly decent. I actually regretted getting a small. I think a small bowl of pho was about $5.95. Also comes in medium and large. You can tell it's not super legit Vietnamese pho because number one on the pho menu just says Pho (beef). Really didn't inspire much confidence. But your options for pho in the area are really very limited, so it's alright if that's what you're craving. read more

I was in the area and had 20 min to grab a bite and was looking for something quick but tasty. Lucky's Pho looks like a mix of fast food and pho joint. You order at the counter, but the food will be delivered to your table. The table has all the amenities of a pho restaurant, like the sauces, chopsticks, soup spoons, and even little plates for the sauces which I find lacking in some other pho restaurants I have been at. The small bowl was a decent size and more than what I needed. I got the one with beef slices and beefballs, and there was a good ratio of the meat to noodles. It came true to order, and the broth was flavorful. I'm overly impressed by the fast and friendly service. By the time I paid, turned around and grabbed a seat, my food was already brought to the table. Also the chicken is moist and not dry (unlike many Pho places that cover up their dry chicken with salty broth). DO NOT EAT HERE! Party of 4: Chicken, Beef and Seafood Pho. Total time eating 5 min: Everyone simultaneously could no longer continue consuming the soup. I have never seen such a phenomenon. I ordered the Seafood Pho. Please do not make this same mistake. I am not sure what the ingredients were ( Red Flag ) Shrimp, Mussels, and after that some stuff that looked and tasted like a dogs chew toy and fish bait. Very very scary looking shell on the mussel. It was dirty and had a weird green tint on the rim. The Worst Part: Immediately after taking a couple spoonfuls I was done. We politely got up and left full bowls of Pho on the counter. My stomach began to feel like garbage the minute I walked out. It has been about 3 hours since we left and I have spent the good part of the last hour in the bathroom with horrible cramping and diarrhea! I am so upset at this place! This Pho restaurant appears to be run by a Korean family, and the resulting culinary mashup actually pays dividends! On first blush, Lucky's Pho pretty much looks like any other run-of-the-mill Pho joint in a city already lousy with them. On top of that, being in Fremont (aka Hipster Ground Zero), you have the added fun of playing 'hipster bingo', marking off all the little things that make Seattle hipsters so homogenous in their attempts at mass-market 'individuality'. You can get a 'blackout' on your hipster bingo card here in five minutes or less: Skinny jeans: check! Ironic tattoos: check! Piercings: check! Expensive clothes that look like they came from a thrift store: check! Knit caps and facial hair on the guys (they look like a bunch of Amish Civil-War reenactors): BINGO!!!! Hipster cliches aside, let's get back to the food: the pho here is solidly middle-of-the-road. Neither awful nor brilliant, I honestly wouldn't go out of my way for it, but If you're in the hood, it's a quick, nourishing bite. So why four stars? Hipster-watching can't be that much fun, can it? The four stars are for their brilliant Kogi Tacos. Inspired by the classic small tacos you get at the trucks that are ubiquitous in this town, these little flavor nuggets stand out thanks to the wonderful flavor that comes from stuffing them with Korean ingredients. At 3 for $6, this is a good value, and a delicious lunch alternative! There are other Korean dishes on the menu, and if they're as good as the Kogi Tacos, this place is well worth a visit. I'm a huge pho fan, and am ALWAYS down to try a new spot! My vegan friend recommended Lucky Pho to me as she said they put lots of veggies in their vegetarian pho and she seemed to really like them. Let's say I should have trusted my instincts and sense of skepticism after seeing that they served both tacos and pho. I ordered a beef pho and my boyfriend order the veggie pho. The noodles were stuck to each other and not fully cooked, and the broth seemed a little off. The soup didn't taste like pho -- it had none of the rich, aromatic undertones that I'm used to. Instead, it tasted like a sad shadow of the real thing. The beef wasn't anything special and my boyfriend and I both left quite unsatisfied. Amazing service, food was ready fast, and so worth the price. I came in a group of 8 and there accommodated us by moving around tables so that we could have 2 tables of 4 within arms lengths of each other. By the time I ordered and went to the bathroom to wash my hands, the food was already there! I got the large pho, which is only a dollar more than the regular size, and it was definately on the cheaper side for dinner in Seattle. The plating was pretty with the meats all nicely laid out. The tendons are super soft and chewy, and the meatballs are sliced so it's easier to eat.
