We stopped into Lowe's yesterday to buy a washer and dryer set during the Labor Day sale. We had to press the service button 2x to get someone to show up in the department. They arrived after 10-15 minutes and were very upfront about not being from that department. Definitely poor staffing during what is a well-known sale weekend. We ordered our appliances to be delivered the next day and confirmed that they were in stock. The CSR told us that they couldn't give us a delivery window, but they would call 1/2 hour before delivery. We hadn't heard from anyone by noon, so we called Lowe's to request an ETA. The phone rep told us it was on the truck for delivery. (We live within a few miles of the store.) By 3pm, we still hadn't heard from them, so we called again. They told us that the CSR had actually sold us the floor model (for the same price as a new set) and not marked it for delivery. We wasted our entire holiday waiting for something that wasn't coming due to bad customer service. We've cancelled the order and will be ordering online from Home Depot. Total crappy service on 2 out of 3 counts. Don't count on the in-store or phone teams to be helpful, knowledgeable, or staffed appropriately. read more

I know it isn't their problem that a Dock strike has left me without my special purpose for well over 30 days now. But the way they communicate should be 100% better. The first time it was 15 days past order date I should have received a call stating that the equipment came in damaged and they refused it for that reason. But not one person thought to let the buyer know this. Now 30+days past purchase, I had to call them, again, And I get the same Dock Strike, bla, bla. All I was offered was we can refund your money. Run don't walk away from this corporation. I've didn't over $39,000 here since January. Got a piece of deck furniture last year that didn't hold up - tore down the middle. Wasn't looking for a replacement. Someone was kind enough to offer a 10 percent discount on purchase of a new one. Wife ordered it, then was told there was "no note" of said discount and after 47 minutes on phone was basically called a liar. Who does that? Would've been $23 off a new piece of furniture. Penny wise they are. In the house flipping business and have infused over $100,000 into Lowe's pockets over past five years. Won't buy a lightbulb there anymore. How can any corp be so silly. read more

Purchased new StainMaster carpet and premium pad for Den, stairs and hallway. Lowe's contracted installers (Ultimate Home Services) have come multiple times, and still not installed completely or correctly. First trip: measured areas to be carpeted. Second trip: removed old carpet, but had the wrong padding. Left den room furniture and padding in our living room for over a week. Third trip: installed den carpet, but had to remeasure stairs and hallway. Forth trip: installed stairs, but hallway was bound incorrectly, and needs to be redone. Hallway pad is down, but no carpet. Next trip (which could be several weeks out): the contractor wants to bring carpet "repair" person with the installers to "fix" the binding issue on the hallway carpet. This is a terrible experience, and Lowe's needs to take some responsibility for the contractors they engage. Until Lowe's takes control of their sales from purchase to installation, I would STRONGLY recommend buying elsewhere. read more

I'm quite sure that I could lay in one of the aisles bleeding to death and even then no Lowe's employee would offer assistance. On the rare occasion that I am able to chase down an employee and ask for assistance they are rude and condescending or complete idiots wasting my time. I hope this dumpster masquerading as a home improvement store gets swallowed in to the earth. read more

I mean, what a great store with a great reputation! I was liked kid in a candy store when I got there! So much to do so much to learn. I had called ahead nonfiction of what part I was needing. Amy in electronics said she could get and hold it. But when I got there, she was too busy to see me and left without saying goodbye. Nobody else acknowledged me. I asked for help in several dept. no one got to me. disrespecting. And they lied to me, wasting valuable time and money. Not even a sorry. They wouldn't let me have and pay for my 4 dollar sapling... go anywhere else! Pathetic zeros 0really felt like I wasted money on a taxi service and was laughed at. Thanks for nothing! I've spent thousands of dollars at this location since I bought my house last year but I'll never go back. I placed an order yesterday online for store pickup, and after getting the run around from an employee both at this location and another one in Columbus, the manager got on the phone, told me he was under no obligation to honor my order or explain to me why. The item I ordered was on sale for a 50% discount yesterday (and in ample supply at this location according to the website), but is somehow no longer in stock, but is still available for purchase and home delivery - although of course no longer discounted. I asked why it was possible for me to order it and have it delivered to my home but somehow impossible for the store to receive the item and honor my order, and the manager hung up on me. I have literally never been treated worse by customer service in my life. read more

Basic Lowe's. But they were out of stock of 2 of the 3 items that we were there for. I like the south side Lowe's much better, it is better stocked and seems to have better staffing. I think that this store caters to students and campus landlords. If I lived near this one I'd skip it and go to Menard's up at Northland instead. read more

Went in here to consider fencing. First off their fencing is not located in the lumber area, it's outside in the garden center, where the elements have access to warp their cheap quality wood panels. Their vinyl fencing selection was poor to say the least. They have a custom order catalog as well, but the pricing is OUTRAGEOUS, IE the same panel they have in stock costs $35 more via custom order. Will be looking elsewhere for sure. read more

I've been to this Lowe's a few times now to pick up things for my apartment. I'm not sure that there's much in particular that can be said about Lowe's in any sort of distinguishing way. If you've been to one, or even any other large hardware store, then you probably have a good idea of what to expect here. In my experience, things are generally pretty easy to find due to the clear signage, and the employees are generally pretty helpful if you need to consult with them. I haven't had any super outstanding experiences here, but I haven't any terrible ones either. read more

As far as Lowe's go, this one isn't the best, but it isn't the worst either. My main complaint will always be that this location is awkward to get to. My minor complaint is that this place always feels very empty and devoid of staff when I stop in. Makes the experience a bit creepy. =P read more

Installing recessed lighting in my basement and decided to try LED lights. I purchased two UltiTech Pro lights designed for recessed lighting and was pleased with the results. Went back to get more and there was only one left. The attendant scanned my container that I brought with me to insure that I got the same thing and it indicated that there were two at the Easton store. Went to the Easton store the next morning (Saturday then Sunday) and the bulbs were not on the shelf. They were still in the system just not where they were supposed to be and no one knew where they might be. On Monday I had a conversation with the store manager. I asked him what the restock policy was on this particular bulb. He was kind enough to look in the system which automatically reordered the item when the shelf was down to two left. I asked how many were in a box? He said four. I wanted to speak to a district manager to change this policy (and probably others) but was told that it would do no good. A friend suggested that I leave a YELP review to see what effect it might have on the very same thing so here I am. On the plus side. The manager sent his truck out to pick up things from other stores and called to inform me that there were 4 bulbs waiting for me as of this afternoon. read more

I know not to expect the same friendly and accommodating service from this chain retailer that I experience with my local hardware shop, but the service at this location must be actually trying for last place. Visit if you hope to not have your questions answered, plan to revisit several times because of a lack of communication about the products you're purchasing, and want to wait a month for product orders that have actually been sitting in the store for weeks. read more

I know very little about home repairs, but I own a 19th century house that often needs repairs. I usually go to my local Ace Hardware shop for help, but yesterday they were unable to help me. Graciously, they suggested that I might be able to find what I needed at Lowe's. So, with their specific instructions I went to Lowe's today. I had information about what exactly I needed, and I went to the appropriate apartment (doors/hinges). Yet in spite of the specific instructions from my handyman and my local Ace Hardware store, which I shared with the customer service representative, I was treated as a complete idiot. The person I dealt with did not listen to my questions, and even though he admitted that he did "not work in this department", he provided me with what he believed I needed. It didn't seem right to me, but he told me that he was "sure this was right". My handyman arrived later in the day to complete the work -- only to find that the material I had been sold, was not correct! Not impressed! #mansplainingsucks read more

Do not order delivery from Lowes for your order. I have attempted to use them three times in the past and they have been late on delivery every time. If you are trying to get a project completed, do not count on #loweshomeimprovement to expedite your project. Very disappointed for all the money I have spent there over the years. read more

I've never been overwhelmed with this Lowe's store. Employees seem more interested in visiting with each other or just not being found. My most recent encounter involved calling to get information on their tool rental. First is the lack of etiquette on answering a business phone. Hello, no name and no store name. Second is asking to be transferred to a certain department. I was asked why, when requested to be transferred to the tool rental. Third, two different people botched the transfer and hung up on me. Plus, they wouldn't give me the directory code to call and enter it myself. Therefore, bypassing the "operator". Fourth, is being told I don't think we rent that item. Again I was allowed to speak to that department. If it wasn't for the fact, I live within 2 miles of this store, I would never even consider it. Suggestion, try another store besides this one.
