After figuring out their parking was across the street, I entered what was a clean, but devoid of customers store, a couple employees looked up, but no one approached.
I went to the cash register and asked who was in charge. A nice-looking guy said "That'd be me" I told him what I was looking for and he said to call him the following Monday. I did, he said "Nope" and promptly, loudly, hung up.
Now, we're HUGE DYIers. (Okay, when I say "we" I mean, my husband). Regardless, we've done every project on our house, sans installing our roof after a huge storm. They are the closest hardware store to us too.
Consequently, we're just about ready to do some costly renovations to our home spending a few thousand in materials etc. HOME DESPOT IT IS. After the treatment received, I wouldn't run there for a fire extinguisher if our home were burning down!
To be fair: Here's what I found to be upsides: Clean store, virtually empty, big and the owner's (at least the one I met, is somewhat eye-candy,
Downside; Having to park across a street, albeit a small street. Employee apathy approach, felt treated like a clueless woman (which I am, but didn't have to be treated this way), Treated more like a nuisance then a customer and UNFORGETTABLE PHONE TREATMENT! I stay approximately 3.42 seconds after that, didn't even want to look at or for some items I could have used and recognized. (Duct tape, flex ties, paint, flooring, windows. ,..(The usual girl-stuff)
