Ok...got there at the appropriate time and my sales person Stephanie was with another customer. I figured she was just finishing up. I ended up waiting 40 minutes. In hindsight should have walked out! I had to finally tell the bookkeeper I was waiting, and have her relay the message. I placed an order for a product and scheduled another appointment (as she had another customer waiting) to add to the bath remodel and consider everything else I needed through Kohler. Another item I was considering I asked if I could call in to buy. So I called to confirm and pay by phone, to get ahead of shipping time. Had to leave a voicemail for a callback. Got the callback quickly to take the payment. (Spent about $3,900.00 by this time on the two products.)The receipt was to be emailed to me. Also needed shower and faucet fixtures and wanted to order them in person, reason for my next appointment, since there wasn't time on the first or second appointment. Called and left a message for a return call as I hadn't received my receipt and was trying to schedule another appointment. Left two messages on a Thursday morning, but call No back by Monday! I finally had to call the showroom manager, and leave another voicemail, for a call back from her. No one that answers the phone can do anything but transfer you to a voicemail! She called back and emailed the recipient. Now...picking two products up after they came in. Go to 'pick up and delivery' for two items...was/is the next hurdle! Got one item that I could fit into my SUV, but the other item (15x60) was on a skid, and (suggested for product safety, needed our truck to get it. Sent my husband to pick it up today and when he comes home says,"I could have gotten this in the SUV!" Well they gave him the WRONG item! Now they are... "trying to figure out what happened". Called the showroom manager, AGAIN and had to leave another message AGAIN! Asked who the overall store manager was and was told "the owner and he is out of town till Wednesday". This is Monday. No idea what they are having such a hard time getting an answer and getting my product is about! Sure took the payments on a heart beat! I finally ordered the fixtures from Robertson's heating and plumbing supply, Moen. Smooth process, Brooklyn my salesperson was excellent. Took time to make sure I had exactly what I wanted and needed, She checked the order when it came in to make sure it was all there. Took 5 days to come in. I also found a product at Ferguson's that was sent to my house in two days! Bathworks has been a nightmare to deal with! I will say, Josh in the shipping department has been trying to figure out what is going on. If you're not working with a large contractor (this is a small gut remodel with a one person contractor) I think the sales department discounts you as a customer, or they are just inept! Kohler may want to rethink Bathworks as a distributor. If I could give them less than one star I would!

We go to Zettlers because it's local. We are frequent customers. I'm working on a project and I…read moreneeded a can of white spray paint. I sent my husband the twenty minute drive down to zettlers and he purchased a can of DoIt spray paint. The can would not spray no matter what we did to try to find a resolution. So I sent my husband back today to exchange it for another can and the manager (Jordan) refused. He fiddled with it for a few minutes and was able to get it to spray. My husband understanding how important this project was for me to get it finished today, went ahead and purchased another can of paint ($17) because he knew if he came home and I couldn't use the original can of paint I was going to be upset. So when my husband got home and explained the situation I was dumbfounded. I called the store and talked to Jordan who again refused to exchange the can of paint. He basically said there's no way he could resell it so he wasn't taking the loss. He ssmaid he was able to get the can working. I tried to use the can and it took everything i had to make our spray. He also told me that the owner Mike would tell me the same thing and that the owner would also not exchange the can of paint. Now I know from experience working in customer service that the last thing a manager should do when you have an upset customer is to tell the customer that the owner would not do anything different. The last thing a manager should do is to not find a resolution for the customer. A simple exchange was all we wanted. Instead we are out over 2 hours plus the$5 can of paint that basically went in the trash and the additional $17 we spent for a working can of paint. Beyond disappointed. The teenagers that work at this store always treat is with respect, Jordan could take some lessons.

I kept hearing how good it was, and that's not hype- service was excellent, on two visits from multiple people. Selection is pretty darn good for a small local hardware store. It's not tiny, but it's not huge. Lots of options for each thing we needed. Bright and open, nicely arranged, tons of things you need- and don't, plenty of impulse buy stuff set around, so watch yourself. Prices for those, and in general, are maybe a little high, but the location will be handy for many people and you can avoid the hassle and gas use of going to a big box. This isn't just an old-school local store- it's better.

I have found those products to be very low quality, often breaking after only a season or two of normal use. Neither the shop nor ACE offer any warranty, referring the buyer instead to the manufacturer's warranty. On occasions when I've made a warranty claim, the manufacturers have simply ignored those claims.

In 2021, I remodeled my kitchen and bought my kitchen from their Maumee location. This time, they kept changing delivery dates and caused long delays in my project. I was mad but tried to be understanding given the pandemic. In 2025, the touch panel of the microwave oven they had sold me stopped working. I called them and explained the problem. They sent out a technician whose diagnosis after two minutes was (and I quote directly) "Touch panel failure". Duh! He then spent about 10 minutes on his computer and told us the part was not showing available and that we had to get a new unit. He did not take the microwave oven out of the cabinet, did not check whether the power was plugged in, did not open the back plate and look inside. He did nothing but try to use the touch panel. They he charged us $128.22 and left. Since I was busy at the time and had the old microwave that I could use temporarily, I postponed fixing the issue. Last week, I removed the microwave from the cabinet, opened the backplate and (after reviewing the user manual and watching a bunch of DYI videos on YouTube) figured that the internal fuse was blown. So I called GE parts hotline and ordered a new fused directly from the brand. After replacing the blown fuse, the touch panel lit up and the microwave oven started working. What bothered me was the fact that the technician had no interest in finding the cause of the touch panel failure and moved too quickly to advising us to order a new oven through them. Having fixed the problem myself, I called them up and asked to speak to the service department manager. I tried to explain everything chronologically but the manager was impatient, cut me off multiple times, and defended the technician's actions. He basically shut me down. I called a second time yesterday, hoping to talk to someone who cares about the Appliance Center's image, like the owners of the business. I was again routed to the service department manager, who repeated his earlier response. Not only the technician didn't do their job right for the price we were charged, but the manager was indifferent and uninterested in the experience that I, as a loyal customer, was trying to share with them. They lost me as a customer forever. I hope those reading my review will exercise caution when calling the Appliance Center for repair services.
