Price was fabulous for the cabinets and they are really good quality cabinets. To this day, 10 years later they still wow people! They built the cabinets and I installed them to save money. They installed the granite, sink, faucet and backsplash. I was absolutely impressed with the quality and workmanship, I have a window trim flute style with square blocks that I was nervous about the backsplash being cut around it correctly. Well, Fit like a glove! Really impressed with the details. What brings me to write this review 10 years later is my brother is about to do his kitchen and ask me where I got my cabinets and granite. Over the last 10 years I've redone my bathrooms and got granite countertops and sinks from L and E also. The only complaint I have the hinges on the cabinets are forever breaking. Self close ones are just terrible quality, I've been in a couple, three times to get replacements, but other than a bath the cabinets look the same as they did when I installed them. No fading, scratching, cracking whatsoever, still beautiful to look at. I do need to get my granite cleaned and polished back up.

I shopped around - they are not the cheapest or the most expensive. But they have the quartz that I want and have terrific customer service.

I have the set of sharpeners called the "4-STEP SHARPENING SYSTEM - Restore, Sharpen, Hone, Polish". They are plastic handles with crossed metal rods to get the perfect angle. They say they can do serrated knives, but so far I've used them only on straight edges. Be sure to read the instructions or watch the online video. Very little effort is required to sharpen a dull knife. They are ALMOST idiot proof (you DO have to read the instructions). No gritty mess that you get with dry stone or wet stone sharpeners. No guessing about the edge angle, it does it for you, you just "aim" for the center of the crossed rods, there's even an "aim spot" on the plastic handle. You do have to pull the knife through at the right vertical angle, 45 degrees for straight edges, 90 degrees for serrated. These even restored some cheapy 25 cent so-called "steak knives" from China that I bought at a dollar store. These did wonders on some $60 fancy carving knives, bringing them back to razor sharpness. Also, keep your sharp knives in a knife block or rack or sleeve/sheath, don't let them bang around in a drawer, because each tap or bump of metal against metal dulls the blades a little bit. Also, don't wash sharp knives in the dishwasher where they will bump into other utensils, for the same reason. Dishwashing powder is also a mild abrasive, so it's best to wash your sharp knives by hand. Heat and soap in a dishwasher also prematurely ages wood handles, and removes any finish. The store was busy. All the workers were busy. But they all made sure to greet every customer & follow up with offers of help. The building's above 100 years old. It reminded me, while I was waiting, of the small town hardware shops my grandpa & I would hit when we needed supplies between roofing jobs. That was a great memory for me. Those background places in the past gather importance when folks are gone. Small shops navigate the big box waves through specialized products & good customer service. You don't have to have a farm to find something interesting here! They also have a freezer section with local meat and eggs, if you are looking to purchase locally grown foods. There is a surprising amount of usable/collectible vintage and ceramic items as well, like cast iron skillets, fermentation crocks, butter churns, and linens. The owners are super friendly and willing to help with any questions. By purchasing items here instead of Tractor Supply, Lowe's, etc, you are helping to support a local business, so keep that in mind if prices are slightly higher than a chain store.
