I don't even have the capacity, at this point, to go into everything that is wrong with this bathroom. Before you use this company, make sure you are ok with paying an over 800% (EIGHT HUNDRED PLUS PERCENT) markup on items you can get at Home Depot. Same model number. Same color. Same everything. Make sure you don't care whether or not things are centered and evenly spaced. Make sure you understand that when they tell you Cultured Marble, what you will be getting is a plain white plastic-y feeling counter. Make sure you understand that they will charge you $500 to "dispose of" your old tub when you could actually sell it on Marketplace for $50 and someone will come get it. Did I mention to make sure you don't care if things are actually centered, and that even though you paid $475 for "custom laser measuring and bathroom design" things will still not align. And most importantly, make sure you understand that when your faucet breaks a mere 2.5 years later and your hot water is running continuously, they will not care and will schedule the repairs for 3 weeks later and act like you should be grateful for that, and you should just be ok with your hot water running for that long, like they are going to pay your water & gas bills and pay for the wear and tear on your hot water tank. BEYOND ANYTHING, MAKE SURE YOU INSIST ON AN ITEMIZED ESTIMATE BEFORE YOU PAY THEM ONE THIN DIME. I have to stop now, before I give myself a heart attack. THE WORST HIGHWAY ROBBERY.

I found Columbus Bath and Basement Remodel on Google. I needed some work done in my standup…read moreshower. I called the number listed, 614-310-4999. A gentlman answered the phone with no other greeting, than "Hello?" so I didn't know who I was calling but then he finally explained that the number I called, routes to Home Depot, to whom they sub. The conversation started out fine, I explained what I needed done, he seemed willing to help; he kept saying it was important to keep the 'humor' in our conversation. I know understand, this was to keep me from getting 'hysterical'. When he asked for my name and my husband's name, that's when I knew what was up. He explained they wanted us both there, and while I know the reason, I asked why it couldn't just be me, since I handle the repairs in our home? He said there were 3 reasons: 1. Because the initial visit is 'free' 2. It's to expensive for them to make repeat visits, if/when either of the couple decides not to go along with the decision 3. Due to thousands of court cases, they've been pulled in to divorce settlements where one of the couple wanted the work done w/o the 'ok' from the other. (His example) Now, I get what the deal is here, they want my husband and I both present, to sell to us and get the contract signed. Up to this point, I was planning to tell them my husband would be there, then explain he was on his way. But, the gentleman said there was a 'trick' to getting my husband there: Tell him I won't make him watch "Steel Magnolias" if he agrees to take time out of his schedule, for the consultation. Really? I mean, I understood that this man is probably retired and working in Home Depot, selling kitchen/bath remodels, and perhaps he's used to working w/women who don't know drywall from plaster but, I do. He asked for contact information, to call me back later that day. I told him I would call him. I will not be calling him.

I reached out to Columbus Bath & Basement Remodeling to get a bid to finish our basement. When…read morescheduling, I let the employee know that I would be the one present for the appointment; she insisted on taking my husband's name "just for [their] records." They were originally scheduled to come out at noon on 01/08. I received a phone call at 4:29pm on 01/07 wherein the employee told me that she just looked at the schedule and they are too busy to come out the next day and would need to reschedule. No problem, I understand that unexpected things happen and appointments need to be moved. We rescheduled for 01/10 at noon. At 12:26pm on 01/10 I phoned their office, as the gentleman that was scheduled to come out had not yet arrived nor had I heard anything from him. Theresa confirmed that I was on the schedule but did not offer any rational for him not being here. She then asked about my husband and I reminded her that he was at work but that I was here for the appointment. She then gave me some line about how their company will not even conduct an appointment if we're not both present, she even said that she thinks there might be a law about this, and that if the gentleman had shown up he likely wouldn't have gone forward with the appointment. I told her that was funny, because I told them my husband wouldn't be present when I scheduled the appointment, and I've meet with other contractors that had no problem with my husband not being present. From the sounds of it, she was just trying to come up with an excuse to not keep the appointment. I would not recommend contacting this company for an estimate if you actually expect someone to show up.

This is off the highway on the way to the airport. There is a large parking lot, and the greenhouse is huge! I went in for one thing & walked out with more than 10. I hand-build tiny, tiny ceramic pots, so I'm always looking for tiny plants to put in them. Straders has only a small selection of these pots & they are $6-15 depending on plant. DeMonye's had 10x the variety of what I usually find at Straders, and they were $4.49!! I did a little dance. You can find annuals, perennials, indoor plants, bulbs, seeds, soil, garden decor, pots, you name it! I also found flowers and berry plants for my garden. The staff was super knowledgeable and friendly. They said to check out their Facebook and IG for updates of what's in stock!

So stop in very soon if you want to go one more time. We've been coming here for a decade, they've been here for almost a century. It's very handy for us, and usually had most of what we need. Service was great, prices were decent. And convenience has a quality of its own. Now where will we go? Next closest place is probably Oakland, which is fine but at least 15 minutes away.
