My wife and I had searched for months and months for a very specific piece of furniture: a long yet narrow wooden table for behind our couch. Local shops seem to be much more in tune with there immediate community (or have a unique ability to, should they take advantage of). Re:Work's commitment to building furniture from reclaimed barns is smack on point! I was introduced to this husband-and-wife-run show at a Yelp event showcasing locally run businesses around central Ohio. They know where to look, who to know, and how to make wonderful furniture. Picture frames, tables, basically, you name it and, if it's feasible, they'll make it! We were able to make a simple, but classy wood plant vase out of their reclaimed barn wood. "Reduce, reuse, recycle" at its finest! I'm excited that they're working on expanding there work space. We were so lucky to learn about Edgework Creative at an event that was being hosted there. Lindsay, one of the awesome owners, was at the event. She gave us some background on the company and just made us fall in love with what they are doing there in Grandview. We purchased a kitchen cutting board that evening and it truly is my favorite addition to my kitchen. The quality of this cutting board is obvious. It is sturdy and beautiful. Lindsey & Alex helped us build an amazing bedroom set - headboard and sidetables - as well as a beautiful entryway table and mirror. They were able to work directly from images that I provided them to create a great finished product. They involved me in the process to make selections on the reclaimed wood and stain and even made small additional touches to the end tables to make them even more high functioning (holes for wires).
