We ordered carpet in last month and it was installed in early July. the entire experience was excellent- the folks in the store as well as the installers. they were all great. I didn't write a review. last week, after the deluge, our new carpet in the basement was damp in a couple of places. after dry vacuuming, it was better and we left strong fans going. stil, this week, it was damp. I called our contact at the store, Lisa, and she encouraged me to call Mike. she gave me his cell phone number at 620 pm tonight, he came over and showed us the reason it was still a little damp. we had very good padding that insured that the carpet would not get ruined-but beneath the padding the floor remained wet. He cut out several feet of padding and said he would get back to us to replace it in a couple of days. When people tell you to support small family businesses, do it. Evans did their job in July. They sold good carpet and installed it. They had no responsibility to provide additional service--but they did!!! I cannot say enough about this store, their team and their work ethic. If anyone needs new carpet at a fair price and with assurance that the relationship remains after the sale is done--go to Evans Carpet Junkyard. The only thing that bothers me is the name. It is not a junkyard, it's a very special store read more

We just had new carpet installed in our bedrooms and closets, I would highly recommend going to Evans if your looking at new flooring. Everything was top notch from them coming out to measure, help picking out what kind of padding and carpet to get, to the installation process. The installers were in and out much quicker than I expected and cleaned up after themselves read more

I have purchased several rugs for my house here. They custom cut and bind any size rug you need. You can choose from remnant pieces they have displayed throughout the warehouse or order something from their samples. I just picked up my newest one and I absolutely love it! read more

Always great quality and service. The price point is very reasonable. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

I came here because I needed remnant carpet, I just needed about 12ft x 15ft for my basement where I have a theater set up, I wasn't looking for anything too fancy. My expectations were low based on the name. But Wow! Was I surprised! Nancy was the sweetest lady, she reminded me of my own grandmother, she greeted me and went through some questions to help me narrow down my selection, she educated me on things to consider based on my answers and then we walked together side by side looking at all the carpets. We calculated the price on the carpet I liked. Then, I met the owner of the company Tony, which was cool, he thanked me for coming in, he shook my hand and then proceeded to take $250 off my order and just said thanks for coming here and this roll is on sale today! I was like what just happened ?! Whole experience was great and I highly recommend this establishment! The customer service was great! read more

I won't go anywhere else for carpet or remnants! When I moved into temporary housing I had to cover the hideous floors and Evans was the place to help get the job done. The vast selection of remnants in so many colors are priced to keep your budget under goal. I love walking the perimeter and looking at all the remnant selections. Sizes are clearly marked and most prices too unless they're a new addition. Don't hesitate to ask for price though! I returned after getting my house when I needed pieces to help protect my wood floors. I brought in remnants that I previously purchased and was able to get everything cut and bound to my specifications within a two week timeframe. They offer so much more, so measure your space and go talk to them. You won't be disappointed! read more

Overall, we had a good experience. They have a lot of selection at many different price points. We re carpeted one of our rooms and came here pre COVID. Once things settled back down we came back and ordered our carpet. It was installed the following week. We found a reminent carpet and saved money. Definitely would rather support local than a large retailer. read more

I worked with Lisa . I had no idea what I wanted, so she took me around and showed me different carpet types and quality. I showed her what I liked, and she found me pretty close to what I was looking for sitting on their floor. The cost with pad and installation was $1000 cheaper than other quotes I had received for a lesser grade of carpet. Install date could have been as little as three days from purchase. Factory closeouts are what to look for. They pass along the savings. Highly recommend checking them out. read more

Great prices, great services, great products! A family owned company that will meet your flooring needs!

The carpet that was installed is high quality and perfect! The installation was beyond my expectation. They did such a beautiful job. Maria was fantastic to work with and made sure I was getting the best value. I will never use any other company!! read more

I'm not one to drop a one-star review, but this place was really a letdown for me. Yeah, they have a huge selection of carpets with relatively low prices, but their services suck - in a HUGE way. In an effort to support local business, my girlfriend and I decided to check out Evans Carpet Junkyard when we needed a new area rug for our bedroom. When we arrived, Dave, the salesman was very helpful with selecting a rug for our needs. He wrote up the contract and told us it would be 7 - 10 days before it would be ready, and we will receive a phone call. After not hearing anything after 18 days I called them. The man I spoke with on the phone had not one iota of professionalism. He couldn't tell me when the area rug would be ready. There was no apology for the inconvenience of having to wait longer. He didn't even offer an explanation as to why the rug wasn't ready in the estimated time frame that was given. The conversation concluded with, "sorry I can't help you". WTF is that?!? They obviously didn't want my business. I was pissed. So, after about 10 minutes of fuming, I called Evan's Carpet Junkyard back to cancel my order. The woman I spoke with was just as un-helpfull and unprofessional as the man was earlier. She didn't offer an apology or an explanation as to why my rug wasn't done on time. Nor did she offer a time frame in which it would be done. She had an attitude that was sort of like 'yeah, whatever, we don't need your business anyway'. My conclusion for the poor service I received: if you're not bringing several hundred dollars worth of business to Evans Carpet Junkyard, they won't be interested in doing business with you. read more

I will not buy carpet anywhere else. I've carpeted my whole home here room by room! The prices are fantastic the selection is great. Unlike, previous carpet installs from other companies my carpet installed by them has never came off the tack strips or started to get wrinkles within a few weeks. Highly recommended. I never have waited over a week for install and the professionalism is top notch! I send all my real estate clients and friends here read more

Evans Carpet is our goto place for area carpet. They are good people and family owned in Columbus, Ohio. We tell all of our friends; Highly recommended! read more

I found out, when you get a carpet from Carpet King, they send the order HERE to Evans. So cut out the middle-man and skip the markup. Evens is a no-frills, go-find-what-you-want kind of place. LOVE IT. It's a huge 1-room warehouse, with hundreds of enormous rolls of carpet everywhere - all textures and colors. Leaning up along both walls are "remnants", which are rolls that are almost all gone. These are GREAT deals. The salesmen really aren't "sales" type of people, which is nice. They are very helpful. Definitely a "wholesale" feel. I decided to have my bath mats made for me from carpet. I came to Evans and found a nice, dark brown "remnant" roll (4' x 11') and am having 4 rugs cut from it: 3' x 5' 30" x 30" and two 22" x 44" All for around $50 TOTAL. (They "seal" the edges, or whatever that's called.) Picking up my rugs this week & will update! **Update** Carpets are perfect. I miscalculated & forgot to add the actual remnant for $20. (Rugs are $1 per sq ft to bind/seal.) So my total was $73 for all 4 rugs. read more

Don't go on a Saturday! If you do, hover immediately around the desks! There's no line or take a number system (take a number would be great!) and getting someone to spend time with you on a Saturday is difficult. It was our first trip and We had a budget and style in mind based on a lot of research and visits to other stores. Ray was very helpful comparing what costs would be with various styles and their (Evans) install vs. other contractor. He knows carpet. Face weight isn't listed on the rolls, so if this is a factor, definitely go during the week when they can call the manufacturer. When we were nearly decided (just calling the installer to verify that size roll would work) Ray had to go away and help another customer. We spent the next 10 minutes trying to get his attention again to ask him to hold the carpet roll. I stopped back in to pay for the roll on a Friday afternoon and it was not too busy at all. Ultimately we found a wonderful carpet at a wonderful price and will return on a weekday if/when we need more carpet. read more

Big fan of these guys. Trust me, they will work with you if you need any sort of repair done, and will gladly give advice as well, if you want to make it a DIY ordeal. Either way, you will certainly see how people should conduct business. They helped us in a pinch, when time was of the essence. Mike came over, got the job done quickly, and it looked great! Super thrilled. read more

Just stopped in here to have a 5x7 area rug resized and rebinded to 4x6. Expected to drop it off and pick it up days later only to have the work done on the spot! They did an excellent job and we were out the door in 15min! Highly recommended. Thanks :) read more

I am very pleased with the service I have gotten here. When I pulled up my carpet prior to installation, I noticed a leak in the basement. The guys came as scheduled and did not install the basement carpet in order to give me time to identify the problem. David, the sales/service rep I have dealt with from the beginning (also the person that came to measure) has been more than helpful. He has talked to me about how to identify the problem and offered not to charge me until they come back out and finish the job. So considering it could be at least a week until I figure out the problem, I am enjoying carpeting throughout the rest of the house. It is so nice to not have to worry about getting charged extra for another installation, and a complete bonus and service to me to not charge me until the job is complete. I could not say enough good things about David and this company. In today's world, service like this is hard to come by! read more

This is a quality outfit. I have been here three separate times getting carpet products (wall to wall and runners) and have been very happy. Great quality, great price, really good people to work with. If you want to put a runner down your hall, don't go to a big box store. We chose the style of carpet and they cut it and custom stitched it on site - it looked awesome. read more

I have been buying carpet here since the mid 1990's... They are easy to work with and they never try to sell you something you don't want. They are very friendly and they do great on the installs as well. I will never go anywhere else! read more

Evans is great to work with and their products are great quality. There are no hidden costs, and they always do a great job on the installation. I find it a truly hassle-free way to shop, as they only sell you what you want to buy, and stick with the price they give you. No pressure! I would recommend them to anyone. read more

We needed to get new carpet for our upstairs. Lowes or Home Depot wanted $3500 for about 850 sq. feet. That was way too much. We went to Evans and worked with Brad, a super nice guy who explained everything and did not try to oversell us. They have tons of carpet to choose from. We got a nice, medium-quality carpet installed for $2000. This included removal and hauling away of the old carpet and pad, plus new pad being installed. John was the main installer, and he was great. I highly recommend them. You just put half down as deposit, and pay the other half once the job is done and you are happy. Jeff read more

Walked into Evans Carpet Junkyard with the hope of buying/ordering a carpet today. While there is are a wide variety of carpets to select from, the service is awful. When I walked in, no greeted me, no one offered to help me, and no one even acknowledged that I was there. I started walking around to look at the carpets and still received no help. Finally I went up to someone and asked if there was anyone who could help me. He pointed to several people in a group talking and said that "they" could help me. I went over to them and waited for them to finish their conversation. Finally, a lady named Lisa Evans asked how she could help me. I told her I was there to pick out a carpet that would fit my living room and hallway. I didn't have the exact dimensions, but I know I needed a 15 ft width. She was helpful in showing me the 15ft rolls and I picked out a couple that I like. I told her I was going straight home and would call her as soon as I measured the living room area exactly. I called her back within an hour or so, gave her the measurements, and she told me she would call right back with the price once she gets the measurements together. I waited several hours and still didn't receive a call back. I then called her and was told that she was busy and that I needed to leave a message. Lisa called back within 30 minutes and gave me a price. While she was talking, she must of accidentally hung up on me. I waited several minutes to see if she would call me back, but she didn't. So I called her again and the lady who answered forwarded me to Lisa Evan's voicemail. Still haven't received a call back.... I had every intent to buy a carpet today, but after the disappointing service, I am going elsewhere. read more

We've ordered carpet from Evans Carpet Warehouse twice now. Saturday's are very busy, but we've always had the best service. Pricing is easy to figure out. We've had their carpet in our living room and hallway for 2 years and are getting bedroom carpet today. We even called up and spoke to one of the owners on how to eliminate the squeakiness in our subfloor when nails and screws were not working. Great family. read more

I cannot say enough! We just had our carpet installed today and it looks and feels great! SO SO Pleased. We got a lot of carpet, about 1200 square feet, and got a really great deal, not to mention they were really great to work with! Will definitely be doing business with them again! read more

HOWEVER. I Give them 4 star because the service and work were fantastic! However, when I called to get a quote to bind a rug I already owned, they quoted $50.00 to $80.00 for the job. I took my rug there and didn't think to ask for the quote in writing. When picking up the rug a week later I was presented with an invoice for $293.48. It was TOTAL STICKER SHOCK! I probably would not have had the work done had I known up front the cost. At the quoted price it seemed like a great deal. Feeling a little robbed. The work they preformed was great, but didn't walk away feeling good. read more
