I used America's Floor Source to install both carpet and LVP in our basement to help finish the space. Having initially gotten a quotation from Empire, we had a bit of a sense of what to expect in the sales process. Overall, the company did install great carpet and LVP in my home and were quite quick to do so. The installers helped to confirm my LVP was being installed in the direction I wanted and worked quickly, completing the jobs in a few hours. The only reason I didn't provide a 5-star review was for the reasons below: 1) Our sales representative was fine overall, but wasn't the fastest in responding or when I inquired about potentially putting a different pattern of flooring (e.g., planks placed in herringbone), he mentioned he had seen it, but didn't really offer it as an option. 2) The installation team left quite a bit of dust/shoeprints throughout my main floor in getting to the basement. Most other contractors in my home always bring drop cloths to avoid this. 3) We had just had our other contractors complete painting of the walls the previous week and after the installation team we had quite a few marks/scratches on the walls, some spanning multiple feet. 4) When the LVP team showed up and realized they didn't have enough materials, they asked me where they should leave unfinished - I feel like I shouldn't have been involved in the process. I paid for a completely floored basement, I shouldn't be involved in picking which areas are left undone. Still, Tim, their installation manager, did reach out after I reported the issues and was very gracious and willing to either schedule teams to come out or compensate us for our trouble. While I was able to resolve the issues above myself fairly easily, so didn't take him up on his offer, the fact that the company offered it was something I very much appreciated as all contractors will eventually run into issues, but it's how they respond that really makes the difference. Overall, I would likely use America's Floor Source again when we have flooring needs. read more

Did not tell us that this would lead to more exorbitant costs, didn't match the aesthetic we wanted, arrived super late, didn't bother to ask us questions to make our experience better beforehand, and looked inconsistent. Our family has used America's Floor Source (AFS) many times over the past ten years (specifically the Hillard/Trabue location). We recently needed to purchase carpeting for most of our house and checked with AFS. We stopped and talked to Ed Kilrain and the team in Hillard to get started. Ed also visited our home to capture measurements and got us a quote quickly. We compared their pricing to other Central Ohio locations, and Ed was able to give us the best pricing with installation. It took a little longer to get the carpet than expected (supply chain issues), but once it arrived Ed scheduled us an install date within a few days. Most importantly, the team that did the install was one of the hardest working, efficient teams I have witnessed in a long time. They worked non-stop 8am to 4pm and did an amazing job for our full support job. Moved furniture, ripped out old carpet, and installed the new carpet with no issues. Our house looks amazing. Let me start with this: this would be a one-star review / litigation issue if it weren't for Bob Webb. Holy hell, that guy smoothed over so much of the crap that went on. He made the flooring at least livable. I wanted to re-carpet my stairs and 2 bedrooms and get new wood flooring in my living room. I appreciated the no pressure sales approach, but it was so laid back I felt like I had to beg to buy anything, I had to call multiple times. But I get it, it's busy times. AFS measured the living room incorrectly so I didn't have a finished floor for over a month while more finishing trim was sent. Then when it came, it didn't match...at all. Not the same type of wood, color, or grain. Bob was amazing and saw the issue right away. he came back and that's when we realized the installers had f*cked up. He tried his best but I now I have a very expensive floor and the trim isn't even. The hardwood installers were kind and respectful of my home. but brought the subfloor out to far so the trimming piece had to be planed down (why in the last paragraph why it's still messed up), it's not even with the floor. They also didn't leave ONE scrap of extra wood. This stuff was $17 sq foot and I would like to have extra on hand in case there was ever a damaged board. Now I can't replace my front door because I have no extra wood to do it. I counted the floor boards used and it appears the installers walked off with about $1000 of flooring. The carpeting was a disaster. Day of, no one showed. At 10am I finally called Americas Floor Source and they got a new crew out. I was working in another room but as my stairs were open I almost took a nail out of the nail gun to the eye. So I high-tailed it out of there and came back at the end of the day for my safety. They had 5 guys in my house with ZERO masks on during COVID. They didn't finish up until 7pm and again tried to walk off with well over 100 square feet of extra carpet but I caught them at the last minute. It's a good thing I have extra because it's already wavy on the edges and there it metal sticking up through the carpet on one of the landings! When I called about the no-mask situation I got a no real apology (I got excuses) and when they called to take the second half of my payment I stated that I was unsatisfied and the only response I got was my total bill amount. In summary, Bob Webb is amazing. But you do not get what you pay for. It sucks because I spent $$$ and it looks like I did it myself. Which is exactly what I didn't want. read more

If the quality of carpeting put into your "new build" is not a quality of carpet you would expect, I would now recommend AFS to replace your carpet as the issue was never about workmanship or professionalism it was the quality of carpeting the builder was only willing to pay for. read more

I needed last minute carpet installed (as in needed it to be completed in like 5 days) and went to a few different places for quotes. While this wasn't initially the cheapest, Brandon was a huge help and worked with me to find a color that matched the price I was looking for. I have two experiences with Americas floor source - we bought some hardwood flooring from them during their weekend warehouse clearance sale, and we had carpet installed in three bedrooms by them. Both experiences had us visit their Trabue showroom and their main warehouse on the east side. While I havent installed the flooring myself yet, i had been shopping around for pricing points and rearching what I could find on the different types of flooring, with our final target being engineered hardwood. We visited their weekend warehouse sale in January knowing our color range, price range, but also interested to hear some of information from the salesperson. Sure enough they had a color and design we wanted at $2.69 /sqft. As for the carpet install, we worked with Matt to pick out some carpet options and schedule the measure. He was eager to help and overall knew what he was doing. He stopped out later that day and got the measurements. Once we got the estimate back, we finalized some details and decided to purchase. We were very price driven, and while they had plenty of options, we picked out a Shaw carpet that fit our budget. We scheduled the install and the installers arrived, a group of subcontractors who also knew what they were doing. I had a few questions in which they answered, and they had asked me for my input on a couple of details. Once it was all said and done, they really did a great job on it and we are happy for what we paid them. Id recommend them and use them again myself! One point I should make is that i had prepped my subfloor and removed the old flooring myself, and the rooms were empty, so I was able to avoid any additional charges related to that. read more

I've had a lot of bad experiences with floor companies over the years, so when a leaky fridge damaged my laminate floors beyond repair, I was not eager to deal with another one. Then I found America's Floor Source! I went to the one on Trabue Road. The sales staff helped me pick out a luxury vinyl floor I liked and called me often to give me the progress on the order. When the floor was installed, the color was off with the transition around the fireplace and the top basement step. Apparently the company no longer makes transitions and sends out "coordinating" colors. They didn't look good to me. The color was very different. They sent a couple of people to my house to look and came out with a color chart from a company that does only transitions. We matched up the colors as closely as possible and a couple of weeks later they installed it. It looks great! I'll be back soon to buy an area rug for my living room! Terrible salesman, installation and follow up!! Had flooring installed in bathroom and kitchen. First let me say, they sent 2 installers. One couldn't speak any English and the other could barely speak English. Very difficult to communicate with, to say the least. When they took out the carpet in bathroom they cracked some tiles on the wall and wouldn't do anything about it. They put the new floor down and were one tile short! It was in front of the toilet and they had already put the glue down so for 2 weeks we stuck to the floor every time we used the toilet! Yes, it took them two weeks to come back for one tile! In the kitchen they did an awful job as well. Damaging cabinets and doing a really poor job of putting down the thresholds. Cut one short so they just filled in the gap on both sides with white caulk!! Looks ridiculous. After numerous other problems the salesman had the nerve to call me wanting to know why I hadn't paid the invoice. This was one day after they finally finished the floor in the bathroom. He had the nerve to tell me the invoice was over 30 days. Haha! It took 30 days for them to finish the job! I could t believe how rude the salesman was. Acting like this was normal customer service for them. Anyway, I had an awful experience and would never advise anyone to use them. I also received an email from the store stating they were attaching the warranty and info on cleaning the floor, however there wasn't an attachment linked to the email!! No surprise there! Terrible, terrible customer service!! Stay away! read more
