My experience with Rite Rig has been wonderful. I had some flooring quality problems and contacted the company. They made an appointment for an expert to visit my home and investigate the complaint. They attempted to correct the issue but were not successful. They went out of their way to rectify the problem. I now have a gorgeous home with flooring I absolutely love. The service has been great from Jamie the salesmen, to Kelly in the Whitehall location to Athena in one of the office locations. The installers were professional and knew their job. If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with Rite Rug has been a complete disaster from day one, now a two-year ordeal marked by deception, damage, and total disregard for customer accountability. There has been repeated botched attempts to "fix" the mistakes to my flooring. Their representative, Athena, has consistently misrepresented my position to delay, deflect, and exhaust my patience to prevent Riterug fixing my problems. My issue is with flooring transitions; the ones they installed do not match my floor. First Riterug said matching transitions "could not be found," then contradicted themselves by offering to "find a match." Which is it? This kind of contradictory and misleading communication is emblematic of their entire operation, disorganized, evasive, and disrespectful to customers. The workmanship was sloppy, the installation was unprofessional, and their solutions have only made things worse. My floor remains unfinished, my time wasted, and my trust completely shattered. Even worse, they owe me reimbursement for damages caused by their own contractors, money they agreed to pay, but they've tried to tie payment to an unethical "release of claims". That's manipulative and deceitful. I've bent over backwards to be fair, patient, and willing to work toward resolution, but Rite Rug has made it abundantly clear they have no interest in integrity or accountability. Nearly two years later, I'm still waiting for them to simply do their job, fix the problem and pay for the damage they caused. Save yourself the stress, the lies, and the years of frustration. Rite Rug doesn't stand behind their work, doesn't respect their customers, and absolutely doesn't deserve your business. I supported a local company and in return, they disrespected my local dollars and my home. Fix the problem. Pay what you owe so this problem can go away. read more

This was my 2nd visit to the Rite Rug flooring outlet as the flooring I picked before was no longer available now that the contractor is available to do my work! In addition, the sales rep I worked with is also gone. So back I went to start all over again. The good news was that I generally knew what I was looking for and I had photos of what I had previously picked, both the flooring and its pricing. So the task was not too daunting. When I entered the store/warehouse, my sales rep was working with someone else. He greeted me and told me to look around while he finished up with the customers he was speaking to. I knew exactly where to start looking and began my search.+ I quickly found what I generally wanted and started to narrow down the options. After a while the sales guy checked back with me and pointed me to additional options to check out as he finished up. I started to look in an area I had not previously searched, but soon became overwhelmed with too many things. I wandered back to the front and ended up picking one of the several I first looked at. I actually liked the flooring better than the 1 I had picked before. I don't think it was available last time I was here or at least I did not see it. As an added bonus, it was 50 cents cheaper per square foot. When my sales rep was able to speak with me I only had to ask a few questions to confirm that it was good quality flooring and not the cheap stuff and confirm a few facts about it as it will require different care than the linoleum I have now. He then needed to look up how much was available to make sure they had enough in stock for my project. There are certainly was enough and I was ready to finalize my decision. Before doing so, however, I sent an email to the contractor copying my sales rep to confirm the square footage and my pick. I told the sales rep that once I had confirmation, I would call with my credit card number to pay and arrange delivery. Good thing I did as I did not realize there was an issue of needing a trim. My contractor said the trim that comes with the flooring was not available and to make sure I was satisfied with what was available before buying the flooring and trim. I am still waiting for confirmation that there is a trim available and to go look at it. Regardless, I know I will end up buying my flooring from this outlet store. I have been very pleased with the service and sales reps that I've worked with. I have no reason to believe that their pricing or customer service is not top notch. I have dealt with the regular Rite Rug store before and had good experiences. I expect nothing different and will continue to work here when our next project of carpeting requires us to make more purchases. I highly recommend this option if you're looking for new flooring. read more

I purchased a new build home in August 2023 with flooring from Rite Rug. During my 1-year builder inspection, all of the laminate vinyl planks in my home had to be replaced because of defects (glue issues and odd shaping underneath). But that wasn't even the worst part. When the installers finished that work, I discovered two items were missing from my home: A foot-tall hourglass A purple Irish shamrock planter that had been in my family for four generations I don't know if they were stolen or broken and hidden--but no one told me anything. It then took weeks just to get anyone at Rite Rug to discuss and address the situation about those missing items. That experience left me with serious doubts about their integrity and nothing was done! Recently, I needed one simple thing: the product specs for the carpet, padding, and vinyl planks to keep for my records. I called and left messages to people and departments for over a week and a half with no replies. Today, I reached a store. Store #92 in Whitehall. Instead of basic customer service, I got insulted and lied to. The employee first misrepresented his name. When I asked for help, he sighed heavily. When I called that out and tried to reset the conversation, he claimed it was a nervous system issue (which I acknowledged kindly). He said the manager was not in and the other employee was busy. When I told him I'd be happy to wait, I heard him mutter "pendejo" (Spanish for idiot/asshole) before putting me on hold. Thankfully another employee (Mitka) was polite and helpful. But this level of unprofessionalism and disrespect is simply unacceptable. I will never use them again for any service. I do not recommend them to anyone. Rite Rug is one worst flooring companies, I ordered carpet for my 2 bedroom and living room, the sales man charged me 30$ for each peace of furniture that I have, I end up paying almost $600 in furnitures only, when the crew arrived I asked them how was business at which they started to explaining me how Rite Rug really is, I saw in their work order there were only getting pay $150 for 2 bedrooms and a living room, one of the worker said '' the sales man kept most of the money and we the workers have to do 3 or 4 jobs in order to make money for the crew '' I Do Not Recommend Buying From a Company That Does Not Appreciate Their Workers. read more

The gentleman that came out to do the estimate was amazing. For him I would give a 5. The installation guys showed up in an unmarked van, beat up with skulls on it. They barely spoke English, we're friendly but I did ask them not to go through the garage and up arrival brought them in through the front door that I had propped open. Part way through I realized they had opened the garage door and had knocked over and broken stuff in there. I was not happy and told them so redirecting them to the front door. They were here a total of 8 hrs. After they left we realized there were puddles of oil on our pressing driveway from their van. They sent someone out, a carpet installer - we found out later, to fix the issue. He used a pressure washer on too high of a setting taking part of the concrete off and not removing the stains. He also made it worse by far. We then noticed that less than a week later a seam across the main traffic area. We also found a cut in our pool table cover and felt that was not there before. Upon having that repaired we found they had moved it incorrectly causing seams to separate costing us $698. The driveway fix by a professional is going to cost around $1500.00 and another $200 for the carpet seams repair. Totally frustrated and have filed a dispute with my bank as this is costing us more than the carpet did. read more

I had a great experience with Rite Rug! They have installed two bedrooms, our kitchen and now our family room. We went to the outlet in April/May and were able to get exactly what we were looking for and it was installed just days later. The installers were wonderful and did the job quickly, yet professionally. They were very courteous and cleaned up after. We are going back to get our kitchen done again because we've had such good experiences. read more

We ordered hardwood floors to be installed in our family room and office. The installers came in early June and that is where the problems started. What was told to would be a 4 or 5 hour install took a day and a half. When they finished the transition piece between the family room and kitchen was not included. They said it would have to be ordered. We now have inch and a half space in the floor and kitchen which is not attractive and a potential tripping hazard but if handled quickly we were ok. Well three weeks later still no transition piece and calling their Customer Care number only gets excuses with no definitive solution. Now we were told to wait until mid July for the next update. I think a month and a half for one piece is unreasonable. It took a little over a week to get the flooring stained to the correct color why a month and a half for one transition piece. There is more to this story, the installers closed our American Flag in their van door and drove off tearing it off our garage door. Ok a mistake and they said sorry but now it is not I am pissed Will never use this company again# RiteRug. Will make sure my neighbors and all Facebook friends know the trouble we had. The one main thing that I've learned about Rite Rug is that your purchase never turns out exactly the way that you expect. There are way too many people involved in your order and none of them is quite sure of what the others are doing. Don't even THINK about modifying your order once it is on paper or chaos will unfold around you. The result is that you usually get something close to what you wanted. Good luck. read more

Well, since the last update, I was contacted by Rite Rug customer service and they offered to refund me for the missing carpet and the overcharge for installation. I only had to sign a release. Great! I thought...but... When the release was emailed to me, I was astonished to read that I must agree to keep this entire episode confidential; agree that if I ever say anything derogatory about Rite Rug either in public OR in private I will be liable for monetary damages and more; and agree that I will be releasing Rite Rug from all liability now and in the future regarding any aspect of carpet purchase and installation (so, for example, if the installers left some carpet tacks under the carpet, I step on one and get a puncture wound, the wound gets infected and I end up having my foot amputated -- too bad, I've signed away my right to redress.) I have written to (a message via Yelp that they claim they did not receive, although it was replied to) and spoken with customer service about my unwillingness to sign such a document; and told them that I am perfectly willing to sign a statement that I have been refunded and made whole. They are adamant unfortunately. I must sign this release or no refund. This is really amazing. I paid for the carpet, they "lost" half of it, they overcharged for installation, and they want me to sign away my rights before they will do the right thing and refund me for product and service paid for but not delivered. I have disputed the charge to my credit card. read more

We had a great experience with RiteRug. We worked with Mike Peck during the sales process and he guided us to the right choice of carpet and installation options. We had several issues come up in regards to scheduling the install (a family issue then a medical issue), but one phone call to Mike and we were able to reschedule easily. The installers were scheduled for two days since we were having the entire house re-carpeted; the team arrived on time and flew through the work. They did a fantastic job and got three floors of carpet installed in one day. We couldn't be more pleased with the entire process. read more

I live in Windermere, FL. RiteRug is the vendor my home builder uses for tile and carpet. We had a leak in our master shower and rite rug was scheduled to come out and do their repair, with other vendors coming out after them the next day, etc... One guy showed up 45 minutes after the appointment window, with no tools and no idea how big the job was. I had taken the day off for this, only to have my time wasted. The rep told me that they would be back out the next morning and would keep things on schedule (promised by Robert, the field manager). Guess what? They showed up the next day, dropped one guy off and left. Took him a while to demo, but he got it done. Fast forward to today. Originally, RR was supposed to take 2.5 - 3' of tile out and ended up taking out less. Still, they show up with 4 guys, drop one guy off and leave. 2 hours later, the guy is still sitting outside so I got out to talk to him. He doesn't speak english, spanish, german, french or any other language...so communication is nearly impossible. Finally, Robert shows up and tells me that yep...they didn't order enough time. So yet again, I am here watching these guys run around at the last minute. It's so ridiculous and a total waste of my time (again). Oh yeah, today was supposed to take 1 day and is now going to take 2 days...pushing out the trades who are scheduled to come after RiteRug yet again because of their lack of attention to detail, follow through or proper planning. Because of RiteRug, my 3-4 day repair window was pushed into 3-4 weeks and over the Christmas holiday. Because RiteRug didn't show up on time, never know the size of the job and can't even seem to be able to order the proper materials. I am seriously thinking about throwing these morons out and hiring my own crew and then taking this up with the builder / RiteRug in small claims court as it's gotten that bad. Awful service, awful follow up, they will waste your time and ruin any possible plans you might have. Be warned, these guys are far from being professional, are not prompt and have no qualms about wasting your time. read more

I called one day after the clearance sale which the prices for that sale we're still on the website however was not forwarded to me 24 hours later. That's fine I understand. However After speaking to an associate over the phone named Mike I was given directions to come in which I did later that day. I was greeted by a guy at a desk eating a sandwich name Josh. He showed me about four samples of carpet I decided on one of them. He then took my information down and said I would be called the next day. Add roughly 10 o'clock in the morning the next day this is now Wednesday I proceeded to explain the situation. My information was taking down a third time and said that Josh would get a hold of me when he came in at 11. Josh didn't get a hold of me again until 2 o'clock in the afternoon. If you don't want someone's money just decide not to help them right out the gate. read more

I have purchased or used right rug for the last 7 years. People here are awesome and I have always worked with Mike who has been nothing but great. Very nice and always willing to help you get what you need. Mike works to get you something you want in the price range you want which is most important to me. I recently purchased a new home and started the carpet process over again. Since my last purchase the location has changed to 4450 Poth Road, Whitehall, OH. The good news is that Mike is still here offering the same great friendly service as he did at the last location. I once again received great service along with a product in my price range. To go even one step further the product that was sold to me had been damaged on the roll. The day of install Mike called me along with my carpet installation person to discuss the next steps. Mike informed me of the damaged roll and remembered that I was choosing between 2 different products the day of purchase. I went with the less expensive product but Mike upgraded me to the more expensive product the day of install since my product was damaged. This was awesome and my wife was very pleased. In business things like this happen all of the time, how Mike did the right thing at his cost not mine is what makes the difference. read more

Working with Kevin Wright was not an enjoyable experience. My "quote" was written on the back of a business card with no price breakdown, even after Kevin said he would email me a cost breakdown of the quote. Kevin showed up 45 minutes late for our scheduled appointment, even after I emailed him the day before to confirm the appointment. Kevin was not willing to explain his cost break down for the carpet quote and did not even quote me the carpet I was interested in; quoting me a higher priced carpet per square foot. I asked Kevin to refer me to a different sales rep and Kevin Wright did not respond, still waiting. I have worked with Rite Rug on two separate projects in the past and I have never experienced this kind of service before. Definitely would not recommend working with his guy. read more
