I do not recommend this company. My runner, which cost over $3,500, was installed damaged. Yoder & Co. came out and trimmed the carpet with scissors, then claimed that the rest of the damage was a natural occurrence due to the material of the carpet. This is clearly not the case and I expect more accountability for their product. read more

Our neighbor (who has beautiful floors) recommended Budget Carpet and Flooring to us because they did such a nice job for her. We live in a third floor condo downtown so we were thrilled to find a company that came so highly recommended and that had been able to deal with some of the complexities associated with our building. We made a call and they sent someone out to measure our floors. He was very courteous and thorough and made a map of the dimensions. He was able to do it in a way that gave us many options because we could have opted for different flooring for the halls than for the bedrooms, for example. Once he did the mapping, he told us to check out their showroom so we could choose our flooring. We went out to the showroom located in Clintonville area. When we arrived, we met a friendly lady in the showroom who explained all of our options to us. She pulled our file so that when we selected our floor, she was able to give us an estimate. She was very frank with us and I really appreciated it. She was very honest about ways that we could save money and did not push us into more expensive options. She worked with us to get us the best flooring at the best price. We made our selection and they called us about a week later to set up installation. Two gentlemen then came to our place and worked hard at putting in our new carpet. They were very efficient and moved our furniture for us for a small fee so that we didn't have to worry about it. We were super pleased with the end result. Our carpet is beautiful and plush. We will definitely use them again in the future! read more

We were looking for quality flooring for our kitchen/dining area that wouldn't break the bank. After reading so many positive reviews, BC&F on Indianola were one of the three companies we had come out for an evaluation. The salesman who came out was very thorough. He asked lots of questions and gave us several options within our budget. The installer did a fantastic job and made some additional tweaks in squeaky areas. When laying the flooring in the pantry, he fixed the shelving where it meets the floor. BC&F not only met our needs, they exceeded our expectations. We chose Budget Carpet & Flooring due to a friend giving us a high recommendation on the installation team. We were first impressed with the salesperson (Amy) as she was helpful and responsive. In fact, we were very impressed with the entire team - We chose vinyl flooring for the main areas of our condo over hardwood due to our experiences with hardwood being damage by every day life, children & dogs. The installers did a great job - and we love the result! One cannot tell it is not wood - and we are getting many compliments. The installation of carpeting for bedrooms went very quickly, by a different group of installers and they too impressed us were their speed & expertise. We have nothing but good things to say! I LOVE their showroom!! I bought my condo about 17 years ago and had yet to replace my carpet (I know, ewwwwww). So, I browsed the internet to look up flooring places with good reviews and came upon this place and decided to drag my husband here to take a look. As soon as I walked in I was impressed. Everything was displayed in a nice, neat way (I'm big on this) and the lady there was more than helpful. Walking in, I was IMMEDIATELY drawn to a particular carpet. The price was lower than I thought it would be and came with a great warranty, so we bought it on the spot and had it installed within 2 weeks or so. The carpet crew showed up on time (HUGE PLUS) and worked quickly. The carpet looked great when they were done, but there was a slight problem. The transitions they used were too small for what needed to be covered. They left a half in gap between one of the transitions and the tile I have by my front door. When we'd walk in that area, because the grout was no longer covered, it was causing it to chip and just make a small mess. Chunks of grout were coming out. They did the same thing by the bathroom door, only here it was only about a quarter of an inch gap. I called them and left a message and they returned my call by 8:30am the following morning. They were back out the same week and had it fixed. I am very thankful they fixed it without trying to drag their feet or make excuses like so many other businesses do. I look forward to using them in the future and hopefully upgrading their rating to a 5 star instead of a 4. read more

I chose Budget over Lowes even after spending $39 on an estimate from Lowes because when I took my estimate to Budget, they gave me a better price and I got better quality carpet. I was looking at Pet Protect from Stainmaster (First Launch) and ended up getting Shaw Carpet in Park Trail and is so soft and beautiful. I also got a thicker pad from Budget than I would have from Lowes. Also, the guys who installed were very polite, friendly, and professional and worked so hard for three days to install carpet in our large home. They even didn't mind my dog being there with them even tho I offered to take him to daycare. I'm very happy, I plan on getting hard wood floors thru Budget as well. read more

I had been looking for an inexpensive (less than $100) area rug for my room and had looked at Target, World Market, BBB, and then checked sales at Pier 1 and Crate and Barrel and found some things I liked but I would have had to order online without getting a good idea of what the colors were like or the feel of the carpet. I live about 1/2 a mile from Budget Carpet and Flooring and though the exterior is a little run down looking I was surprised by how nice the interior was. I was immediately helped by a not-too-pushy salesperson who didn't seem discouraged that I was looking to just buy one rug and not, you know, recarpet my entire home. She helped me find something in my price range, feel another carpet from that brand and see one the larger one they had in stock to see how I liked the colors. Anyway, I did have to pay some for shipping, but I am really satisfied with the service and experience! read more

The entire process went smooth, from the visit to the showroom on Indianola, through the installation. All sales and staff were great at listening and communicating on our upstairs renovation. The price was reasonable; and they did not try to up-sell us. They brought samples to our home and talked over color schemes and layouts during the planning process. They held the carpet for us until we were ready for the install. The installers were on time, efficient and did nice, clean work. We will use this company again in the future. read more

This is the second time I've used them and they did not disappoint this time either! I can not say enough good things about this company from the initial contact to the final walk through of the job. they replaced the flooring in my kitchen and front hallway this time. I was concerned that what I could afford was much less than what they would be able to do. We checked first with the big box stores and weren't happy with the product or price. We told Budget Carpet our budget (always on the razor thin side) and they were open to working with us to get us what we needed. After one firm never showed for its appointment, the Budget folks came an hour later at its appointed time. Met both the owner and his new associate, who took the measurements while I chatted with the former. She has excellent taste and gave me several viable options. I found both of them to be warm and helpful in answering my questions. Two weeks later, the workmen came on time, got right to work and the three bedrooms were done in a few hours. I picked a medium-priced pad, which to me felt better than the more expensive premium version. The Budget folks had a much better variety of carpet colors and styles from that of the big-box stores, which seem to only carry grays and beiges. I only wish my experiences with my other contactors had gone as smoothly. While this will probably be my only time I'll buy a home, if I ever need more carpeting, Budget will probably be my first and only call. read more

We were looking for new carpet for two rooms in our home. We had Budget come out and they gave us a very reasonable estimate, $2200 for about 800 square feet of Mohawk carpet. The cost included tear out of the old stuff, moving furniture, installation of the new carpet and an upgraded waterproof pad. Quick and friendly installation. We are very pleased. read more
