I was looking for flooring for a bedroom. The prices of flooring are very reasonable here, and there is a huge selection of all kinds of flooring. I settled for a waterproof luxury vinyl flooring with a beautiful oak grain, needed because I a have pet who likes to sleep in that room. There are many other sections for different rooms in the house, and I was impressed with the marble flooring as well as natural wood. As soon as I pulled up to cart these boxes, a young lady staff member, Emily, helped me to load them in. They were not that heavy but being I have a bad knee, I appreciated her help. Thankfully she also offered to help me hoist them into my car. Good service is what is important in finding a good store....and I can't wait to see how the flooring looks when it's installed. read more

Unfortunately, I need to change my previous positive review of this location. My husband and I have shopped here numerous times for projects at several homes we have remodeled. I can only assume that management has become a problem. My last visit here about 2 weeks ago, I was returning in some wood flooring that I purchased. As I approached the register, it was easy to see that the employee helping me was not having a good day. She was quick to tell me that I could not have store credit for my purchase and could only credit what card was originally charged, which was a Visa gift card that I no longer had in my possession. Then she was rude to customers on the phone and complained to another associate about her day as we waited on a manager to help us. After he told her to give me a store gift card, she handed it to me and then rudely complained about customers who use these Visa cards, while using foul language within earshot as I walked away. If the manager helping out had not been busy, I would have immediately spoken to him, but there was a long line when I left. I contacted the corporate office about my experience after I left. They contacted the store manager twice and I have never received any sort of apology or even a response about my terrible customer service to date. This is totally unacceptable and I will not return to this location due to extremely poor management. read more

Love the selection of tiles here! I live 2 hours, give or take, from this location. The first time I went to one of these stores was when I was visiting my family member and they needed to pick some things up for a back splash project. I was impressed with the selection they had at that location that I had to come here when it came to selecting tiles for my bathroom. There were seriously so many tiles to choose from that it became overwhelming but we knew exactly what we wanted and were very pleased with the affordable pricing they had! Customer service was great in helping me decide on what grout color I should use with my tile selection which was amazing! read more

It was our first time there and it seemed organized and everything was very clearly labeled. The associate who helped us was good. He was able to suggest and show us what we would need. He even went and got us a cart which was helpful. We are completely clueless when it comes to flooring but he asked probing questions and was able to lead us to what we needed. read more

They called the police on me for LEGALLY opting not to wear a mask! Whether you agree with the mask mandate or not, most businesses still recognize and respect that there are legal exclusions in the orders. The exclusions include things such as medical conditions, children under a certain age, religous beliefs, people exercising, people eating, etc. The Executive order signed by the Mayor here locally (identical to most every other city's and state's orders) also states that whenever a customer in a store exerts said exemptions that they "should not be required to produce documentation or any other proof of a condition", and that "Businesses and organizations are entitled to rely on their customers' or patrons' statements about whether or not they are excepted from the Face Covering requirements, and businesses and organizations do not violate this Executive Order if they rely upon such statements".  That last part is basicall i.p.oy relieving the business of any potential fine or liability for not complying with the mandate when a customer chooses to exercise their RIGHTS. But earlier today Floor and Decor chose to ignore all of that by trampling all over my personal medical rights and civil liberties by picking and choosing which parts of the Executive Order they would have their employees enforce based on their own personal beliefs, laws be damned! The incident began immediately upon walking into the store.  When the cashier noticed that my friend and I were not wearing masks she stated that we must put them on to enter the store.  I told her that I had a medical condition that prevented me from wearing one, and my friend had Religous beliefs that prevented her from wearing one.  This should have been the end of the conversation as it has been with every other store I've entered without a mask, and every other store that actually complies with the mandate in its entirety. The cashier basically said that she didn't care and repeated again that we should leave, and that she was calling a manager.  Assuming that the manager would know that I was within my rights, and because I had driven a long distance to get here, I told the cashier that the manager could find me in the Vinyl flooring section if he wished to discuss the matter further, expecting that I would probably never really see him. To my surprise, the manager did appear a few minutes later.  He again asked us to put the masks on or leave the store.  We again exercised our exemption rights under the Executive Order, and he again asked us to leave stating that Floor and Decor had other alternatives to shopping in person. It was at this point that I asked my friend to turn on her cell phone video..  While recording, I asked the manager a very specific question, "Are you denying us the right to shop because of my medical condition or my friends religous beliefs, both exempt from the mask mandate, or may we continue to shop peacefully"?  For the camera, the manager stated that we may continue to shop without any further intimidation.  That was great news, that was all we wanted! At this point though things were obviously a little awkward, so we really just wanted to finish our shopping and get out of there as quickly as possible because we felt like now every single employee was staring at us like we were Lepers.   Little did we know that after being told by the Manager that we could shop in peace, and after allowing us to check out and spend our money, that the police would be waiting on us once we walked outside, like we were the ones that had committed a crime simply by asking the store keepers to respect and honor our rights under the law! Apparently the store manager was not speaking truthfully when he stated that we could continue shopping without further incident, but instead chose to attempt to escalate the harassment and embarrassment even further by contacting the local police department and trying to have my friend and I detained or arrested immediately upon exiting the store, and again, after having taken our money and leading us to believe everything was all right, simply because my friend and I chose not to allow their employees to force their will upon us!   Fortunately, unlike the manager, the police officer was aware of the law and that we were well within our rights not to wear a mask, and made no attempt whatsoever to ID, harass, or detain us.  The officer was polite and respectful (and was not wearing a mask) while informing us that he was sorry to have to approach us but needed to respond having been called to the store by the manager.  Thank you so very much Hilliard Police Department for protecting the rule of law! "Check out Floor & Decor in Hilliard" kept showing up in reviews of other tile stores we visited. Taking over the space of a large box store in just one part of this shopping plaza. Big carts to accept big purchase by the door. Aisles of tiles make up the layout with overhead signage. There is a design center available for help. But our project was small and unwarranted of a professional. Or so we thought. After an hour of wandering, pointing, touching, we asked an associate a question. It was as if we had only read the dust jacket of a book. Kristen was super friendly, patient, and helpful. She never gave the appearance of trying to get away. She helped us match colors, style, and material. She put our mis-mash of measurements into usable square footage needed. Offered ideas on budgeting and materials. She loaded our cart, and expressed enthusiasm in seeing photos of the finished project when we returned the uncut tile. I know we got lucky to find Kristen. My advice is to find her, or the design center. "I have an idea and some measurements. Can you help me?" read more

I usually go to the pro desk because I'm a pro member. Pro desk person wasn't the friendliest and I was berated by some associate. After spending three hours at the Reynoldsburg location leaving extremely frustrated; I decided to try the Hilliard location out for a fresh start the next day. I will say this location is THE BEST! Literally everyone I asked for assistance no matter what department I was in, was extremely helpful. I came back a few more times and each time I have been 100% satisfied with their customer service. Heather that works in their pro service area was literally the perfect person to assist me in my bathroom remodel. From tiling choices to jolly types to backsplash ideas, grout options... etc she spent the time assisting me with it all! I appreciate all of their help. After leaving one of the major flooring retailers feeling like another sales number I decided to give Floor & Decor a try. The staff at F&D were 100x more helpful and knowledgeable. They explained the differences between hardwood, engineered wood, aquagard engineered wood, Luxury Vinyl Planks and Luxury Vinyl Laminate in a way that was easy to understand and helped me make the right decision for my home. Selection was great, pricing was incredible. Upon my request, they educated me, explained their own water testing results (to me, this detail really separated them from the rest) and then provide the perfect amount of follow-up while I shopped their selection. I was on a supply run for my tile guy on June 15th for 1 box of floor tile to complete the job.. mortar laid and read for rest of the tile .. I already had 4 boxes but we were short about 1/2 box.. I had tile in my cart and the power went out and they cleared the store .. I ran errands and came back to see the power was off still .. I asked to pay later, leave my card to get the box of tile because the tile guy was laying the floor .. the "manager " commented "well I guess you will have to pull the mortar" .. WHAT?? That is money to a contractor $$$$ I have bought thousands of dollars is flooring and tile from this store and they refused to understand my position .. saying they had no control over the power which I understand but 1box of tile to save my project and leaving my card. I haven't ordered a large amount of flooring from Floor & Decor, but they've been great for what we've needed them for. We almost ordered our wood floors from them, but another company was having a sale at the exact time we were ordering. Otherwise, we would have. We found great options at all different price points. We have purchased tile from them. I initially went in because I wanted a square marble tile to make a table out of. Nobody else had an 18" square real marble tile, but they did. They have a ton of options, from traditional to trendy. One note: we had decided on a tile for our entryway and went back to get it maybe 1 - 2 weeks later and couldn't find it! It had moved to the sale/clearance section, thankfully, so we got the tile we wanted and we got a deal on it. But check the sale section if you can't find something you previously saw. Checkout is always friendly enough but it's often very slow. Make sure you allot time. Their prices are great and their selection is great. I've never had a bad experience. read more

Worst experience. Floor and Decor sold poorly manufactured solid hardwood flooring. Boards are out of square with finish that comes off during cleaning with recommended Bona cleaner. Customer escalations department has taken nearly 2 months with constant additional hurdles only to determine that they are not at fault and will not provide a refund. I WOULD NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM FLOOR AND DECOR. read more

Their delivery driver smashed into our garage and when we tried to contact them numerous times about reimbursement for repairs, they completely blew us off. When businesses, especially large businesses, don't take accountability for their actions it leaves a really bad taste in my mouth. If you purchase flooring here. Make sure they give you the correct accessories as far as quarter round, transition strips and flooring for stairways. None of ours matched the flooring. Also, do not let them over sell product. We had to return over $1000 in products. DO NOT use their installers. They are horrible! They installed everything quarter round and stairwaywithout saying a word about the fact that it clearly did not match the rest of the flooring in FOUR other rooms. I guess I should have sat in the same room with them to supervise every move they made. When I did notice it was wrong. I said something to them. Two of them acted as if they couldn't speak english and the other said well it's close enough. Obviously it could not be returned because they installed it. To purchase the correct flooring all over again and reinstall would have cost over $900. The only interest they had was getting paid and getting out. The additional sloppy work we have found upon closer inspection is ridiculous! Find your own contractor for the install. Make sure it is someone with a good reputation. Also, be aware that Floor Decor only takes returns for a limited amount of time and they will not take open boxes. Make sure the installers don't delay the install until after your return time has expired. read more

We needed flooring for our our living room so we checked out a few places. We came to Floor & Decor a month back a met a gentleman named Phillip. Phillip was courteous enough to spend some time with us and was absolutely amazing. I am in sales. He did everything right. He armed my wife and I with as much knowledge as possible along with some suggestions and then he let us decide. After we decided he was kind enough to give us some tips on installing the new floor, even tips on some of the other renovations we had in mind for downstairs. I was driving around Hilliard checking out the shopping centers, and this store caught my eye. I went into this place thinking that they might have some rugs on clearance; however, this place specializes in tiles and hardwood flooring. Even though I didn't buy anything, this would be an amazing place for someone interested in making a backsplash for their kitchen, a mosaic for their backyard, or just wants to see exactly how excited they can get over different types of tile. I've never found tile particularly entrancing, but looking at some of the projects on display, I found myself suddenly longing to buy some grout and make myself a pretty little patio... except that I live in a rental home and my neighbors have overrun my backyard with playground equipment. Lots of neutral and grey colored stone tiles. Accent tiles (mostly glass, some colored) Check-out was fast and efficient. The accent tiles had no price, so the lady gladly went to find the box - radioed the item number. They keep your name and purchases on file there, so if you need to get more tiles, or want to return something you don't have to worry about keeping your paper receipt. Good prices. What you see is what you get though. If you decide to purchase tile here, you need to make sure they have the right amount, because what is out on the floor is it (no extra stock in the back). read more

Thieves, liars and cheats!!! I bought a lot of tile for a project, and then needed more...but was not sure exactly how much. They told me to buy more than needed so to not make return trips, but when I went back to return they wouldnt take it back - saying the dye lots changed and it was past 30 days - this they never mentioned when sticking me with extra tile. The managers never return calls and then claim they did. I left the tiles there for the manager to look at, and when i went back to pick the tiles back up...they tried to hand off some different tiles. We are only talking about $70....but the aggravation is totally not worth the small saving you may think you are getting. They probably get closeout stuff....so if you buy it now, they may not be carrying it pretty soon. If you need more, you could be SOL. read more

We are newbies when it comes to renovations and materials, so when we reached floor & decor with the list we were a bit overwhelmed with what we needed to buy. But then came Phillip, he was by far the best assistant ever to help us out. We couldn't have done it without his help. His attention to detail, his product knowledge ..his patience with our questions and the time he took to help us and give advice. He literally made us feel like we were the only customers there and his entire focus was to help us get what we needed. I was sold interior slate for an exterior job (I was clear that I was doing an outdoor patio) and after one winter of the slate flaked off in layers, even though it was sealed according to their instructions. I had to chisel off the tile, one at a time, which took 3 days of hard work. They took no responsibility for selling me the wrong product, no refund, no apology. Avoid them at all costs. read more

Had to return a lot and go thru multiple boxes to get what we needed. Bought oak hardwoods. They mixed sizes with my order. Had to go back again. Contractor had to spend extra time because wood milling was off. Width and thickness varied some and made matching very difficult. Just buy with a lot of caution read more

Poor customer service. Store policy Take the top travertine tiles PERIOD! Regardless if 3 of the 4 sizes of a specific line look really close and the 4th size is not even close. The ones that were close were light brown/beige and the other one was dark grey. it looked like lighter ones were in the pile about about 1/3 of the way down. If you dare to question them on this they treat you like the scum of the earth. We've bought other things in the past from them, quality is ok. I usually just pick up what i need and leave, but this is the first time I have had to deal with their staff. Going to take my business else where. read more

Low prices with poor customer service. We ordered 7,000+ worth of hardwood flooring. At the time we placed the order we were told it would be there for pick up in a week. Called back a week later and they said it would be ANOTHER 2 weeks! So, 3 weeks after we placed the order I called again. The response: we didn't get it all in yet, it will be another week until the rest of the order. Bottom line the money saved on the cost of the floor is not worth the extra time it wasted us. Ended up delaying our project by THREE WEEKS! I could have bought twice as much flooring for what it cost in hotel bills while I wasn't able to live in my house with no floors. read more

Generally I find them very helpful and the prices are great. My only complaint is that I made a return and was told it can take up to 15 days for the money to back into my checking account. It has almost been a week and I have not gotten the money. I think this is way too long, especially when it is a nice chunk of change ($350). Maybe there is some bank issue, but say I go to Home Depot or Lowes, I'm fairly sure it never takes that long. read more
