I've never had a worse experience when receiving a product. Had to pay $79 dollars for a local delivery (would normally be free at Home Depot). The day the product was supposed to arrive no one showed. No one called no one helped. I called customer service and waited 45 minutes for them to transfer me to their shady 3rd party delivery service. 3rd party delivery service told me my order had been cancelled and that I needed to call Lowe's back. Got a call from the local delivery coordinator the next morning telling me my delivery driver had broken his ankle the previous day and wanted to reschedule for the next day. He was supposed to call me and let me know if it was not going to arrive by a certain time so that I could coordinate for alternate pick up as I had coordinated to install the item at a certain time. I received no call and a notification after hours that my delivery was set after the time period of which the service rep agreed to meet, or let me know if he couldn't. This company is an absolute joke. Their employees lack any shred of integrity, work ethic, or pride. Don't waste your time or money here. In case anyone's wondering... I still don't have the product I ordered and paid an exorbitant amount in shipping for. read more

I had a fantastic experience bringing my toddler with me to buy a new lawnmower. I had researched online which brand I wanted, but had a few questions for which model would be best for my lawn. I asked a staff member for help. She thoroughly answered my questions, pulled the item from the shelf for me, and carted it to the checkout (super helpful since I had my 3 year old with me). This is my go-to home improvement store. They always have what I'm looking for and the employees are very friendly. I got paint this past weekend that was a custom color and was worried I might need more in the future. The lady working at the counter wrote down exactly what paint I had purchased for every size bucket just in case. I also purchased a few outdoor plants. They still seem to have a good selection of garden things even though it's late in the year. read more

Lowes on south high is an absolute mess. I waited in the fashion bath dept for 30 mins while the salesman went to lunch! A guy name John is the only one busting his behind helping ppl. But he's only one person.... it's like the salesman runs an hides so they don't have to do their jobs! This is ridiculous! Just moved into my new home.... I now live on a half acre and made a decision that I would purchase my first zero-turn mower. I dropped about $2500 on a John Deere Z355e and had it delivered to my house on a Saturday a few days after I moved into my new home. The delivery guys were very friendly and nice... However, i did find it odd that they didn't test the mower to make sure it turned on before they took off. Well... Having used zero-turn mowers many times, i knew what to do... went and got gas and filled the mower... went through all the safety steps and was ready to go... However...the mower would not fire up. I gave it 12 hours and attempted to start it in the morning, did a Facebook live feed to ask for help with fellow technicians and gave some ideas (put fuel in the filter area, etc...) Mower still not start up... I called the Lowes store and the young kid told me they can replace it but would have to wait until Wednesday (it is Sunday) because thats when the JD assembler would be in... and then another few days to get a new mower out to me. I asked him point-blank... "do you not test the mowers before shipping?" He told me "Yes they do, and that I actually watch them do it." I find that funny because the mower's fuel lines and filter were BONE DRY!!! there has been no fuel in this machine! Apparently he called into work that day... Now they have called me saying they can not find my receipt... good thing I have a stack of papers on hand to give to them... read more

What is the policy on installation? Bought a dishwasher yesterday and thought it was supposed to be installed today. Was told I only paid for pickup. I thought I made it perfectly clear that I wanted it INSTALLED, not dropped off. Well, my wife calls and says they just dropped it off, they don't do installations. WOW. What can I say- this is your basic Lowe's store. I've got some issues with Lowe's these days with the whole American Muslim debacle but all in all it is nice to have a big box hardware store on the South Side. Parking out the yinyang and basically everything that Lowe's carry everywhere else. I would rather spend my money locally and tend to shop at the Ace down the street in Hungarian Village a bit more even though it is a little more expensive, usually. However for big big ticket items like fencing, plywood, etc., we go to this store-unless we trek all the way to Lancaster to Menards. Sometimes the staff at this Lowe's is knowledgeable and sometimes not. I tend to look for the older employees for help, they seem to know more than the kids. Sometimes there are killer deals here, you have to really look for them in the discount bins or discount tagged items (esp. in the Garden section). read more

For a big box store, I can usually find help or it finds me which is nice. The staff is always very friendly and helpful most of the time. There are times where they could be more helpful but I find them more helpful than other big box stores. They usually have what I want and if not they offer to order for me which is a huge plus. Their price match policy is awesome because they match everyone plus 10% . I would be hard pressed to shop else where for my homes needs. Their not perfect but who is? read more

I go here quite a bit seen I live right down the street. Recently went into the store and I got double charged $18.30. I took the receipt back to them along with my bank statement to show them a lady was very nice to me and tried her best to help but she could only help so much seeing she was new. A gentleman named Ron B. Decide to step in his attitude was very poor so poor that I have decided to never go back to this Lowes. If I need anything I will go to Walmart or drive 40 minutes to a Home Depot but I can promise you that I will never go back to Lowe's they also told me that there is nothing that they will be able to do even though I showed them my receipt and bank statement they still would not give me back the second charge that I deserve to have back only thing they said we can do is suggest you go to your bank and see if they can help you. Ron B Attitude is so poor and it is bull crap that he would bring that attitude to his workplace he is the single reason why I would never spend another dollar at Lowe's and trust me I'm not exaggerating when I say I have spent thousands. read more

This store is highly disorganized and the staff is incompetent. We visited the store and made an appointment (for which we were charged a detail fee) for measurement for new flooring and carpet in September 2016, and identified the carpet and flooring types in which we were interested. The store's kitchen consultant was also scheduled to come on the following Friday, after which estimates would be prepared for kitchen remodeling and installation of flooring and carpet. The kitchen consultant did not come on the appointed date, has not contacted us subsequently and has not returned subsequent calls. The independent contractor who performed the measurement has several times told us that he sent the measurements to Lowe's on the day that he took them but has not heard from Lowe's since. In several calls to the store we were successively told by the flooring department that they had no measurements on file, that they were working on estimates and would get back with us (they did not) and that they had the measurements but could not prepare an estimate but did not know what kind of flooring and carpet we wanted. We told them again what flooring and carpet we wanted, and over the subsequent two weeks have spoken to four different staff members who stated they had no record of our choices and no estimate. On the fourth call it was suggested that we come in to the store for a consultation about the flooring, the carpet and kitchen remodeling! We are at the end of our patience, and our next calls will be to the store management and to Lowe's corporate offices. read more

I have no complaints about the store or their staff, but the subcontractors that they send to your house are another matter. I've had various subs come to install a refrigerator, install a new washer and dryer, and install carpeting over the past 2 or 3 years, and every time that Lowe's sends someone to my house to do what I have already paid to have done, there's a problem. Refrigerator delivery guys broke my microwave while removing the old refrigerator; installers for the washer and dryer refused to level the appliance and said the problem was my crooked floor. However my husband had no trouble leveling it when he got home from work. The worst, though, was the carpet installer. He came to measure for new carpeting and when he saw that I had a dog he asked me if there were pet stains in the old carpeting. Obviously he couldn't see any stains because he had to ask. I told him that definitely yes, there were pet stains. So then he said they could not remove and dispose of the old carpeting because of EPA regulations. Toxic dog pee regulated by the EPA? I don't think so. I called in Rite Rug and they had no problem with removing and disposing of the old carpeting. read more

We just purchased a propane tank and when we got home, we noticed that the propane tank had a leak. When we called to inform this Lowes about this issue and ask what to do as we did not feel safe driving back with an actively leaking tank, we were just told to "drive it back with the windows down. We need the tank back." After explaining we did not feel safe doing so, the woman rudely said "well we need the tank back."
