I sent my husband the twenty minute drive down to zettlers and he purchased a can of DoIt spray paint. The can would not spray no matter what we did to try to find a resolution. So I sent my husband back today to exchange it for another can and the manager (Jordan) refused. He fiddled with it for a few minutes and was able to get it to spray. My husband understanding how important this project was for me to get it finished today, went ahead and purchased another can of paint ($17) because he knew if he came home and I couldn't use the original can of paint I was going to be upset. So when my husband got home and explained the situation I was dumbfounded. I called the store and talked to Jordan who again refused to exchange the can of paint. He basically said there's no way he could resell it so he wasn't taking the loss. He ssmaid he was able to get the can working. I tried to use the can and it took everything i had to make our spray. He also told me that the owner Mike would tell me the same thing and that the owner would also not exchange the can of paint. Now I know from experience working in customer service that the last thing a manager should do when you have an upset customer is to tell the customer that the owner would not do anything different. The last thing a manager should do is to not find a resolution for the customer. A simple exchange was all we wanted. Instead we are out over 2 hours plus the$5 can of paint that basically went in the trash and the additional $17 we spent for a working can of paint. Beyond disappointed. The teenagers that work at this store always treat is with respect, Jordan could take some lessons.

I've made several purchases here from toilet seats to a/c filters to spray paint to patio umbrellas. It seems like no one has an agenda to push a big sale. One clerk talked me out of buying a more expensive filter for the A/C, giving me a long explanation why. I have also had several keys made here, flawless! And I just feel happy supporting small businesses.

Prices for those, and in general, are maybe a little high, but the location will be handy for many people and you can avoid the hassle and gas use of going to a big box. He went above and beyond to ensure all of my questions were answered. He provided the same high level customer service to the other two customers as well. One customer was waiting patiently while a bucket of paint was being mixed or stirred in a high powered machine. Another customer was asking question about the various types of paint and trying to select the perfect color. I was there to get a sample of floor paint. Bryan has years of experience and endless knowledge and it shows! Somehow he even managed to get all 3 customers, including me, to briefly chat with one another. That's not the norm for me. I actually enjoyed this experience. Bryan answered all of my questions and even prepared a color sample that he painted on a wooden stirring stick. He hand wrote the brand of paint and color information on the stick in case I returned to purchase in the coming days. He also answered all of my questions regarding paint removers. I had never met Bryan before, but I will definitely seek him out if I return to Lowe's in Hilliard. I had passed several other associates that treated me as if I was invisible, but Bryan was able to turn my experience around and I couldn't be happier. I've said it before and I'll say it again - great customer service is just as important, if not more important, to me as the product or service I am browsing or purchasing.
