This time I was here for a sump pump battery, which was the same price here as I saw it elsewhere online. Plus I got some of their clearance items for outrageously good prices. It's not a big box store, so prices and selection are not going to be the same as one of those places. But it's bigger than it looks, and they have quite a good selection of all sorts of things. Plus some unusual things you didn't think you would need for home repairs. And prices are reasonable, maybe slightly higher than rock-bottom but not awful. It's one of those old-school hardware stores where they can answer questions and help with a project. Service has always been very good and very friendly. I highly recommend it if you live anywhere nearby.

My purchase was small, but what made the difference for me was the kind gentleman at the front register. Very knowledgeable and attentive to my needs. Most of all, he was kind and caring and made me feel valued while helping me and after ringing up my purchase. Pulled the available ticket and proceed to the register. The man at the register says he will have to check if they have it in stock. To my surprise when he came back, he did not have a fan and said the only one they had was the one that we didn't want! He offered to call another store located about 10 miles away but we didn't feel like driving all that way so we asked him if you could order the one we wanted. He said he could not order it because it was not a specialty item. I'm not sure what that means but we left without our fan. I don't think you should have pieces of paper able to pull a ticket for a product if you don't have it in stock and also why can't you order me a fan? Aren't I a customer? As we left the store I noticed the parking lot full of garbage where a different people had emptied their cars out. There was glass trash, McDonald's wrappers just everywhere in the parking lot. It made the whole place look very junked up. Needless to say we be buying our industrial size fan on Amazon and people wonder why people shop on Amazon? Can't get anything you want in the stores.

On Saturday February 3rd of 2024 I sent in one of my contractors to the Sawmill, Ohio location and he purchased $461 of primer and paint. He was given the wrong color and returned to the store to fix this issue. The clerk said it wasn't her fault, that the Sherman-Williams catalog is wrong and she refused to correct the problem. He was told he needed to leave or else the police would be called because he demanded she fix her mistake. The clerk then proceeded to say she felt uncomfortable and since there wasn't a manager on duty she would not do anything. Unbelievable! My contractor left the primer and color inside the store, went out to his car and called me. I proceeded to call the police myself. When the police arrived, the employee continued to blame the machine and said she wasn't authorized to fix the color or refund the product. She admitted to giving the contractor the wrong color but refused to fix the issue. For many years I have been sending my contractors and sub contractors to Sherman-Williams for all our paint needs. My company, my contractors and sub contractors are all extremely disappointed at the way this was handled. There is no excuse for this kind of outrageous treatment of a paying customer. I demand a refund and an explanation! Something must be done to resolve this issue and to make sure it doesn't happening to anyone else.
