People had told me never to custom order from Loew's but we like their bath vanities, and the sales person did a fine job of designing what we needed for a remodeled master bath. Now we are almost two months waiting for delivery of two standard vanity units plus some trim. They are weeks past their stated delivery time, and they have no clue as to when the units might arrive. And they don't know where the materials are! Customer Service can only refer back to the store, which has no better info than the app, which is great for placing orders, but crap for follow up. Before you buy something from Lowe's expecting they will install it, ask. They told us Lowe's installed garage door opener's. Instead they outsource their install's to Angi Services. We are left with a broken garage door opener, unable to use the garage, and Angi services wants us to hire a professional to fix their botch. They will then repay us our costs. Mean while we are paying interest on the installation fees, they are not included on the six months same as cash. This was also not disclosed to us. Lesson learned. Buyer beware. These GE led light among many more that Lowe's sells looks nice on display but lasted only two days after Christmas. Lowe's will not allow return after Christmas and this is a loose loose deal for customers. This applies to all Halloween, Christmas and other seasonal lights and shoppers need to look at sign by customer service to see this policy. Shop Amazon if you want a good 30 to 60 day return policy. Last purchase I'll make at Lowe's and will look at Home Depot, Amazon and other stores for future purchases. read more

I went to Lowe's in Hilliard again for some paint. Bryan K. was working in the paint center all by himself and he masterfully waited on 3 customers simultaneously, including me. He went above and beyond to ensure all of my questions were answered. He provided the same high level customer service to the other two customers as well. One customer was waiting patiently while a bucket of paint was being mixed or stirred in a high powered machine. Another customer was asking question about the various types of paint and trying to select the perfect color. I was there to get a sample of floor paint. Bryan has years of experience and endless knowledge and it shows! Somehow he even managed to get all 3 customers, including me, to briefly chat with one another. That's not the norm for me. I actually enjoyed this experience. Bryan answered all of my questions and even prepared a color sample that he painted on a wooden stirring stick. He hand wrote the brand of paint and color information on the stick in case I returned to purchase in the coming days. He also answered all of my questions regarding paint removers. I had never met Bryan before, but I will definitely seek him out if I return to Lowe's in Hilliard. I had passed several other associates that treated me as if I was invisible, but Bryan was able to turn my experience around and I couldn't be happier. I've said it before and I'll say it again - great customer service is just as important, if not more important, to me as the product or service I am browsing or purchasing. read more

Usually can walk in and find what I need in this well stocked & organized hardware giant - which is good because it's sometimes tough to find store personnel in the department I'm visiting. The sell many DIY home improvement items, including a selection of doors, windows, & bathroom, laundry, HVAC equipment, along with delivery & installation if you need it. Pretty decent garden supply area, and during the spring & summer months often offers discounted plants on close out, catch as catch can. Have purchased several fruit trees from Lowe's in the past (apple & pear) and the crop is spectacular this year! read more

We stopped in to check out an item needed for a home improvement project. It was in stock and easy to locate. The kid enjoyed checking out the large displays of Halloween and Christmas (yes, already!) decor set up - all of the inflatables, music-making ones, and a Santa climbing up and down a ladder. We had to check out that section twice, both on the way in and the way out! Restrooms were clean, and they added the door handles that can be opened with your foot, which is great. Staff was friendly and helpful. There is plentiful parking in the lot. read more

I wanted to share my recent experience with Lowe's, specifically their installation contractor "Angi". Two weeks ago, I purchased a ceiling fan at the Hilliard location. I''ve never installed one like this, and my ceiling is about 15' high and vaulted, so I went ahead and added the $99 installation. What a mistake that has turned out to be. So, apparently lowes contracts with "Angi" to handle their installations, at least for ceiling fans. My understanding of Angi is that they are a 3rd party with a list of approved local "pro's" that are bonded and insured. They only communicate by text. I received a text that my "pro" would be out to install the fan last Wednesday, the 14th. A guy shows up in a beat-up civic. He doesn't have a ladder that is tall enough, so I let him use mine. After an hour or so, he says he needs a part. He is going to pick it up and return the next day at 4. Never heard from him again. My attempts to contact ANYONE with Angi were unsuccessful. I was only able to follow text links to some chat with someone who was clearly outsourced. She said they don't contact their "pro's" and would create a new order for installation. Never happened. After 10 calls to lowes without anyone answering, I called Lowes 888 installation number. They were able to see the Angis activity and start the process over. 72 hours passes, and no one has set up a new appointment. After attempting to contact Lowes another 10 times with no one answering, I went in and spoke to a manager. He essentially said, hurry up and wait. I spoke to another manager a few days later, and she was able to get Angi to set a new appointment. That was today. A young guy and his wife showed up with a drill and toolbox. No ladder again, no parts, and guess what.."you need another part". He was supposed to have been informed of the situation already. He packed his shit and left. Also left everything in the middle of the floor, including my 8' ladder. This company does not contract with "pro's". These "pro's" were unprepared, ill-equipped, and clearly inexperienced. There was nothing professional about this company. I spoke with another manager at lowes while the "pro" was here and am still waiting on a call back. I'm giving 3 stars because it's not so much Lowe's as it is "Angi". Lowe's is trying to help. Angi gets zero stars. Awful read more

This review isn't so much for Lowe's as a big box hardware store as it is for the "Build and Grow" program. Basically, it's a short event held on Saturdays at Lowe's stores where a kid builds a little prepackaged kit using a hammer and nails. My two year old son loves going to these and has built (with lots of help) a mother's day vase and an airplane. He had a great time making the kits and he shows them off with pride when we have visitors. Kids also get a work apron, a pair of goggles for eye protection and a souvenir badge that can be sewed on to their apron (kind of like the boy scouts.) Best of all, the whole thing is free. The cynic in me knows that the whole program is an attempt to build brand loyalty amongst parents (and kids, too) and it gets you in the store on a Saturday where you'll probably end up buying something. Still, it's a fun half hour with my son on the weekend and it puts a smile on his face. That can't be beat for any price. read more

I've purchased a few things from this location. The store is near a strip mall and is easily accessible. The selection is pretty good, I think. I can generally find what I need or something close to it. Customer service is severely lacking. I can look around for minutes at a time, super confused, and no one would stop to help me. In fact, I feel like they were avoiding me. I'd probably ignore me to given the look of desperation and frustration on my face when I'm in hardware stores lol. Anyways, the store layout is a bit weird so it's difficult to predict where things are and you have to just "know". I often take way too long in here simply trying to find what I need. When I do, there's a variety of what I'm looking for though. I had a key made here which was cut wrong. I called in and they requested that I come back in. Same guy helped me by cutting a new key. He said the machine messed it up somehow... it was about a quarter inch off? Idk but it was easy to fix and quick. Luckily, I live around the corner. read more

This location's plumbing employee was not very knowledgeable about the bolt measurements required for different toilets and also tried to tell me he didn't have things that he did have. I made him look it up in the computer and what do you know there it is... in stock... Recently purchased a new clothes dryer at this store. The customer service representative was very helpful and quickly completed my order, arranged for 12 Months no interest financing through my Lowe's card and had me on my way in less than 30 minutes. Delivery was scheduled for first thing Monday and the delivery team was a couple of very professional and friendly young men. They worked quickly and efficiently, explaining what they were doing at each step. Though the dryer went in to a tight spot, they managed with no damage to walls or trim. In store pickup during the pandemic is terribly disappointing. I ordered an item which shows 8 in stock along with the exact aisle and location. The process boasts an easy step process to order, receive email confirmation, then go to the store where the item will be brought to your car. I ordered on Sunday morning. At store closing I had not yet received confirmation to pickup. I called on Monday morning and was told they are way behind and it will take 4 days before it is ready. read more

Charged me BEFORE order was even shipped. The store called later to tell me the item was back-ordered 6 months. I had to call Lowes Credit Card Service (Synchrony Bank) to "dispute charge". The bank also said I had to call the Manager at the store to let them know about the disputed charge. No business should charge you before a purchase is shipped. read more

My husband and I shop at the Lowes at Mill Run Hilliard very frequently. We always have exceptional service from everyone especially the Manager, Ron. He is very personable and always finds a way to make his customers happy. We recently purchased kitchen cabinets for our remodel and had the opportunity to work with David. He was very professional and made sure our design was exactly what we were looking for even with our limited space. My husband also works with the Pro Team quite a bit and they are always pleasant to work with and extremely knowledgeable especially Chris, Martin and Brett. We also just made a big carpet purchase from this store. We had some initial issues with the measurements but Jake worked with us to resolve the issue. As I was returning a product the manager stood there and said nothing to an employee who was walking up to me WITHOUT a mask. I asked her to back up and respect the 6ft rule or put on a mask. We frequently shop at this location since it's in our suburb and always find what we need, from large appliances to paint brushes. Last night I went to get a new garbage disposal for my husband to install. I had a print out of the item, asked an associate to point me in the direction and he actually walked me to the shelf. Poorly run store with employees that know nothing. They never pick up the phone, don't even bother calling. Inventory is spotty and doesn't line up with what it says online. I saw tile I wanted to buy online and it showed 100s in stock. I showed up and they had maybe 12. I've switched to Home Depot, right down the street on Trueman near Target. Finally, whatever you do, do not use their contractors for anything. They are untrained hillbillies that take months to do jobs that should take weeks and only show up every few days. We had a kitchen project that was a nightmare, with shoddy work, bad attitudes and work that required that you watch them like a hawk or they would do it wrong. Avoid. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. Our fridge broke and we immediately went to Lowe's for a new one but I wish we would have gone with literally anyone else. We ordered it Wednesday and were told that it would be delivered on Friday with an email Thursday evening giving us a time block for delivery. Around 8pm on Thursday, we didn't get an email yet so we called the delivery service and they gave us a time between 2-4pm. That should have been our warning sign. At 2pm, the delivery truck arrived and didn't give us notice that they were there. No knock, doorbell, or call. They waited 30 seconds (yay for a doorbell camera) and left a note, then drove off. We saw them driving away and called the service immediately asking to reroute them back but the delivery staff marked us as "refused service. I work from home and my husband took the day off of work. Neither of us refused service. They rescheduled us for Sunday at noon leaving us without a fridge for another 48 hours (with a baby that is on formula and breast milk). Because of what happened on Friday, we were given an exact time instead of a timeblock. Well, noon rolled around and it's still not delivered. We're now very unsure of when we will have a fridge since no one will give us an update. Guess we're living out of coolers. Thanks Lowes! read more

Better than the other big box hardware store. I come here and find everything for a few dollars less than the Orange store down the street. The store is laid out pretty well and I can find almost anything I want here. There is one employee here that is very helpful and will always help you find an answer. I am sure their might be a few others too but I have had a guy with glasses help me a few times and he is very friendly, efficient, and helpful. I was here everyday for a week over a week in winter as I was working on a floor and fe other things in my house. I almost always find what I want or need here. Went at open to avoid people but Female front end Manager did not unlock garden center, make employee told me it would not open till 10a and I should go back to front of store, load my own stuff without paying and bring scan codes in to pay. I went to do that and saw cashier (now 15 min past open) and manager open gate. They are in week 7 as a company, not well run. Also, NOT all employees had masks on, one wipes nose with hand and then reached to touch my merchandise. Outdoor garden vegetables area is BS, they made one 4' wide isle out of tolling racks so once you go in to get veg you are trapped. They have ZERO signs up requiring patrons to wear masks, who's is part of Government order for inside business. No mask, no entry. Lowes is to be avoided, Home Depot is set up safer. read more

It seems like a common theme on the reviews is the poor customer service and lack of help. I had a pick up order for 4 plumbing items. After an hour with no confirmation I decided To just go to the store. Molly in customer service was extremely rude. Even after I explained I spend over $100,000 dollars a year at this location she did not care. I told her I was going to grab dinner and be back. An hour later I came back and Sydney was just as rude. She told me the only picker is at lunch, this is after I told them I will be back in an hour and the home I was finishing was going on the market tomorrow. In the future, I will just go to supply houses where they bend over backwards for there customers. A note to the district manager, it is obvious that the GM is running a skeleton staff and staffing low earning poor performers so he can get his P&L bonus. I think you are past due restructuring this store starting from the top. I understand the million dollars I have spent at your store is not much in your gross margins, but it is a lot to me and where I decide to do business. Ordered an expensive new washer and dryer from this store 2 months ago. Washer finally installed today after multiple calls to customer service because they never bothered to give us an update on the order status - we are still waiting on the dryer. But they didn't bother to balance the washer when they installed it so we cannot even use it. Spoke to manager who seemed to view it as not their problem. Will be calling BBB on Monday. I have had my share of bad experiences at different Lowe's stores, however, today at the Hilliard Lowe's store I received exceptional service. I asked for the manager when I entered the store. The manager on duty, Steven, immediately came over and asked how he could help me. I told him a rather involved story about my track lighting and 2 of 6 of the LED bulbs had burned out instead of being 'long lasting.' We went over to the track lighting and Steven was very knowledgable. He took the time to understand my issue and was able to help me with 2 replacements. Last weekend, Mywife and I went to Lowes to purchase carpet for three of our bedrooms, den, hall, and stairs. The carpet was on sale, and the delivery and installation was free. When we went to complete the sale, there was a $1300 charge for installation; we learned that the installer United Home Services is now selling us the padding (so they can make a profit on the installation) and the are charging us an extra $420 installation fee. So as it turns out, the installation was NOT free, the $420 was to install carpet on our stairs because it has one turn of 90 degrees and the measurement person declared it a spiral staircase. Calling it a spiral staircase is a serious exaggeration; but to charge me an extra $420 dollars because of a 90 degree turn in the staircase is unacceptable. I suggest that if you decide to take advantage of the Lowes carpet promotion, that you question the salesperson carefully to make sure you understand what you are going to be paying, and why. So you know, the flooring manager only told me "that is the way it works" when we questioned the sale of the padding and "extra charge" for the stair installation. Well, we will see if the Federal Trade Commission agrees with him; as I have registered a complaint for Lowes using unfair, and deceptive sales practices. I have also lodged a complaint with Lowes' corporate; although I was told the store will be the responder to my complaint, which was the culprit in the beginning. read more

Zero stars - this location! I bought a new front door from this location. Somehow they forgot to put it on the delivery truck three weeks in a row. Bought $15k worth of floors and countertops. The floors have been installed for weeks. Took 7 weeks of phone calls, numerous emails to the CEO's office to get the counter tops in process I had to resolve my own complaint. I was on the phone with the countertop company who were apparently waiting on the purchase order number. I hung up, drove straight to the store and had them call it in. Countertops are being installed today, a week later. My point is, countless phone calls and emails to the CEO (who then has 3-4 different people call you to investigate and "resolve" your issue) I had to resolve it myself. I only go to this Lowe's if I cannot find the exact product I need at the Home Depot down the road on Trueman. My reason for 1 star is simple: staff support. The on the floor staff has little to no actual home improvement construction knowledge. The one person did not even know what a Phillips screwdriver was. Pathetic.
