Love what they have here. It looks bigger from the outside. Friendly staff willing to help. The reason I'm giving this two stars is because of the prices. $5.00 plants was a bit much. I spent just over $75. I really thought their prices would have been just a little better. This was my first time here and again loved their selections but the prices were a bit too high for me so because of this I won't be coming back. I would at least recommend them giving discounts for buying more than 5-7 plants. Or some kind of incentive to buy more. There are other places that give me a better deal.

I've always been a big Strader's fan because of the amazing variety and fair pricing. This Strader's is quite big, but I felt like it still didn't have the biggest selection of pots & plants. They do have pretty much anything you could need, and I think the pricing is pretty fair, and sometimes on the cheaper end. I love all my plants from here and they do very well. We had lovely service from a kind cashier while here as well.

I will be forever grateful to the staff here at this location of Strader's. My sister and I were on the hunt for a specific flower. My grandmother's favorite flower, a white amaryllis. She passed away and my mom couldn't find one in her hometown so we went on the hunt. After calling around to many nurseries in Columbus, the folks here answered and made our day. They had one and shared that it was in full bloom, tall as can be and absolutely beautiful. They offered to save it for us so we rushed over to pick it up. The staff had set it aside for us and once we saw it, it felt like it was meant to be. The universe was looking out for us. The flower was about $25 and they didn't exaggerate on the description. It was breathtaking. We browsed the rest of the nursery and were impressed at the large selection of indoor plants they offered. They also have a ton of pottery to choose from. It was hard for me to avoid taking a new pot home (I'm a bit of a collector). The staff here went above and beyond and I can't thank them enough. This flower was placed on my grandmother's casket and gave my entire family a reason to smile on such a difficult day. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Straders is my happy place. The collection is amazing, especially in peak season. I will honestly go there if I need a boost in my spirit because plants make me really happy. I found everything I needed for my garden, and I'm excited to see them grow. I like that they have a section that is more or less native plants in their first greenhouse off the right of the entrance, although it's not labeled as such. I think the one thing I'd like to see more of is know-how and knowledge on plant identification and companion planting. A lot of things are still labeled "houseplant" or "foliage" and it would be an even more valuable experience if I could confer with a staff member or team who is well versed in the plants they sell. Straders management- consider staff-wide introductory courses in horticulture! Imagine the increased customer satisfaction and loyalty you could experience! Happy customers generally means = happy profit margins. All in all, still one of my favorite garden shops. I come in with a lot of my own research and experiential know how and that usually guides me to the right choices. Also, Google is a pal when you're stuck!

We initially stopped into check out the Christmas tree selection. They still had several varieties available from which to select in a nice range of sizes and prices. The trees are kept off in the greenhouse to one side, and a friendly staff person approached us and made some fun Christmas-themed chat with the kid before offering assistance. Once we had the tree selected, they took care of the tree and sent us with the tag to the register and said pull the car around when ready, and they'd load it up. While there we also checked out the store, which offered plenty of holiday themed greenery, including wreaths and other decorative pieces. There is also a wide selection of artificial trees (including a white one that looked like a snowman!), plus ornaments, indoor/outdoor decorations, and treetoppers. The kid is a plant lover so we also ended up in the Houseplants section, which had a good selection divided up into sections based on how much light each type of plant needs. We ended up with a Hoya Kerrii heart shape (very cute). There is also a good selection of pots, ranging from arty to traditional to amusing (loved the ones with legs!). There are also traditional gardening supplies, plus some fun pet items like socks and ornaments with different breeds of cats and dogs on them. There is a good sized parking lot available.

Bought some garlic to plant this morning and later in the day when I finally had time to plant it- opened it up and it was all moldy. Called the store just to exchange it- it was $8.00- lady on the phone was super rude. Since I only bought soil and a bulb of garlic I threw out my receipt as I walked out of their door. They won't even do an exchange without a receipt. Spent over $130.00 here earlier this week but that will be the last time.

Well-built retaining walls and two large paver patios - along with new trees, shrubs, and perennials - have added significantly to our family's enjoyment of our home. Jered Seely's expertise in both hardscape and landscape designs is exceptional. He incorporated our preferences into a workable plan with an attractive result. We especially appreciated Jered's utilization of a computer program that allowed us to view how proposed plantings of trees, shrubs, and perennials would look when placed along the front of our house. The quality of the crew responsible for executing the designs was likewise exceptional. They were hardworking, courteous, respectful, and professional. Special kudos to Tyler and J-rod! We have already recommended Seely's to several of our neighbors and will continue to suggest to others that they contact Seely's for any of their outdoor hardscape and/or landscape needs.

A broken wrist stopped me from planting in Spring and early Summer, but I sallied forth today with a list of nearby nurseries. Seely's was first on my list, and I didn't need to go farther. They have an impressive selection of trees, shrubs, flowers, and leafy perennials. Their Hosta selection is the largest I've ever seen. At a guess I'd say they have at least 100 different varieties. It's incredible! The Seely's employees are friendly, knowledgeable, and service-oriented. Julie hauled my cart all through the many plants, giving me advice on what plants would work with my East and West-facing planting areas. When I found one of my favorite plants looking a bit scraggly late in the season, she pruned the leggy parts off and left the beautifully formed inner stems and leaves for me. She was patient as I back-tracked to revisit plants I was interested in. Then she helped me load all my plants and a couple bags of Sweet Peat mulch/soil enhancer into the back of my Outback. I will definitely return to Seely's as I fill out my garden areas in the coming years. And I'll definitely watch for Julie when I do. This nursery doesn't look like much from the road, but it is truly a hidden gem! Check it out the next time you have landscaping and gardening needs!

The delivery date had to be changed to Saturday because of inventory issues, which is totally fine, but I wasn't going to be home. I was ensured that was OK. I came home Saturday afternoon to find three of the trees along my driveway damaged and my gate bent and broken (it no longer closes). I emailed on Sunday morning with photos of the damage and received a quick response from the customer service team telling me a director would contact me. It took 5 days to get a call back after emailing and calling multiple times. Then, I was told someone would come to fix my gate. I specifically said I needed to be home when they were there. A Patrick followed up with me on Monday and arranged with me to come by Thursday morning while I was home. Today (Wednesday), I got a notification from my front door camera where I watched someone from Ohio Mulch take my gate from my property without me being home. No call, no email, no text. They just took my gate without me knowing and after I specifically gave them dates and times I would be home. I'm fuming.

Otherwise, our experience was overwhelmingly subpar for the investment. We asked for a simple front yard landscaping revamp. There were more misses than wins with the overall delivery: 1) Design proposal took longer than quoted (no big deal, I know they're busy), and was missing a key part we originally asked for (and got an "oops sorry, here's a haphazard fix"). Design still lacked some our accessory asks, but we decided to disregard those anyway. I feel as though our vision wasn't heard and believe me, I am an over-communicator. Maybe budget was an unspoken obstacle? But if so, it should have been communicated - we were flexible! 2) The install day was never scheduled, and the install team showed up unannounced without designer oversight as promised. Luckily I was able to arrange to stay home for the install. 3) We were charged for new plants, that we didn't receive. Instead they "transplanted" our dead plants that looked awful (these were the reason we were investing in new landscaping altogether). 4) Old random foliage and plants were left in our landscape (likely with intention, because they planted the new around them which threw off spacing). 5) Some plants did not take and remained weed-y, even with frequent and appropriate watering. When addressed, we were told we were not watering enough... doubt it, but ok. See photos. I'm shocked they thought this was acceptable, and didn't ask how to handle if there was question at the time of install. We ended up needing to replant about half of the overall work ourselves. Old plant concerns were remedied on our invoice, and follow-up communication was prompt from the designer at least. Won't re-engage.
