Nice local hardware store. Large selection of items. Prices are comparable to other hardware stores but here you get exceptional personalized service. Today we were sent here by my 83 yr old mother who needed rubber buffer pads for her cabinets so they didnt "clank". They had them. They also had the battery for my car remote. Picked that up, too. Noticed they have Benjamin Moore paint. Grabbed some swatches to match to the paint on our walls. Productive trip in. Will be back Im sure! read more

Friendly, helpful local hardware store. Needed an assortment of yard supplies-hose reel, shovels, gloves, galvanized buckets a young man greeted me in the aisles and asked if he could help me find anything. He did, carried all the stuff to checkout, then loaded my car for me. In and out fast. So nice having a small, accessible , local alternative to the big box stores. read more

Ordered a new grill and parts. Could just as easily gotten it online for the same price. So much for shopping local the order got canceled. They canceled it not reason. Just fu. You would think they might want to salvage a 4 digit sale, oh well. It's just another reason to go to HD or lowes. read more

Repost: Today at Worthington a group of high schoolers/college students organized a protest. Most of the protest went well. The kids were enthusiastic and passionate. They were peaceful, they chanted, they walked on the street from worthington high school to the worthington police department. On the way back, during the last half hour, a truck from Schreiner Ace Hardware deliberately hit one of the kids. Another adult on scene has it on video. Another white man came and called one of the Black kids the N word and pushed him down. As traffic stopped because of this, worthington police responded and LET the white men go! They refused to take the kids complaints seriously and one officer - Blake Biller #367 from Worthington Police Department LIED and told the kids that pushing wasn't assault but then further went on to say that the N word wasn't a hate crime. The officers tried to get identifying information from the minority children and not once asked either white man for their name or identification. I urge all of my friends to boycott Ace hardware at worthington and to let the worthington police department know that this was unacceptable. I plan on calling the department on Monday to lodge an official complaint. read more

Curbside pickup at this store is a shitshow. Are the owners and employees here angry with those trying to protect themselves and others, or are they generally just mean, customer-hating douchebags? After completing my transaction online and receiving my "your order is ready" email, I drove to the store and called, per instructions (was placed on hold), and a man (owner? manager?) approached my window to ask what we were doing. He was standing (with no mask) immediately outside my window but claimed he couldn't hear my response "Curbside Pickup" as I held up my receipt and ID. I could hear him just fine, so it seemed strange that he could not hear me. I was not interested in rolling down my window, given the highly-infectious virus in the news, etc. I called again and someone took the call this time and instructed me to drive to the back of the store. I did so, and a gentleman confirmed my last name and delivered my item to the trunk of my car. Without further acknowledgement of any kind, he closed my trunk lid, went back inside, and lowered the garage door. read more

Extremely friendly and professional customer service. I had several people that work here help me buy my barbecue grill and then delivered it for free. The people in the store were wonderful, and the delivery driver could not have been any more pleasant, polite, and helpful. read more

I went in and told the two employees standing and chatting at the register that I had a few questions and needed help finding something simple. They told me to go to the aisle and someone would be right over. As I waited, I actually cleaned the aisle a little because some things were out of place, and when I realized that at least 15 minutes later no one had come, I went to the register where there were now three employees standing and chatting, said I had been waiting kind of a long time, and the manager said "oh." So I just told him that I'd go somewhere else. I generally recommend supporting small, local business. The only reason I came here was my old standby didn't have the product I was looking for. Mom and Pop hardware stores tend to go the extra mile. I ended up going to Beechwold Hardware (less than ten minutes away down High St) and they took awesome care of me. read more

After the Covid-19 shutdown, this was my second worst experience this year. I think the Schreiners' store staff means well; but what a chaotic experience getting my window screen rescreened. This was the first and last time I will ever go to this Ace store. For many years l have gone to Zettler's Ace Hardware and would rate them always a 5-star. read more

I have patronized this Ace store since it's a five-minute walk away. On Saturday, April 29, I ran over to pick up a pry bar/nail puller. While there, I remembered there was a BOGO sale on spray paint. I hadn't brought a can with me -- to match the color. I asked if the sale continued on Sunday and if all the spray paint was on sale or just specific ones. The employee said the sale continued on Sunday and that all spray cans were on sale. So, I went back on Sunday. I took my spray paint can to match the color (it was from Lowe's). After debating which of two paints matched more closely and getting help from an employee, I chose four cans, plus a can of white, and a can of blue. When they were rung up, each was full price. I told the cashier that they were BOGO. He responded that only certain ones were on sale. I told him the the previous day an employee said they were all on sale. He called someone else to the register who told me the same thing. I left without purchasing anything. I will patronize this store in the future only if I need something immediately, and it's rare that I have a hardware emergency. (I used to stop here fairly often and each time the same cashiers ask if I have an Ace card; after so many dollars of purchases, I have a $5 coupon sent to me. The point here is that every time, the cashier acts as if he's never seen me before. Happens every time. So much for small store personalization,) read more

The store is well lit, clean and well stocked. The devise is terrible. No assistance on the floor.; had to seek out help and then forgotten about when they said they would be right back. I am a Worthington resident and will drive to Roush in Westerville instead driving around the corner. read more

This is a convenient stop for me so I pop in several times a year to get items. I have had good, and some great, experiences. The service is good, and some employees are extremely knowledgeable. I find the store easy to navigate and have quick check outs. Much more user friendly than big box stores. read more

I love the location, but the large female in the garden center was quite rude and didn't know what she was talking about. She gave me advice that i hope no one else gets. I am a horticulturist. Have been for over 30 years. They should at least educate her on manners. Bathrooms were not very clean last week either. I was there April 30th and will not go back. read more
