The store was busy. All the workers were busy. But they all made sure to greet every customer & follow up with offers of help. The building's above 100 years old. It reminded me, while I was waiting, of the small town hardware shops my grandpa & I would hit when we needed supplies between roofing jobs. That was a great memory for me. It's not tiny, but it's not huge. Lots of options for each thing we needed. Bright and open, nicely arranged, tons of things you need- and don't, plenty of impulse buy stuff set around, so watch yourself. Prices for those, and in general, are maybe a little high, but the location will be handy for many people and you can avoid the hassle and gas use of going to a big box. This has multiple times at this location and they are attempting to overcharge customers on an ongoing basis. One of the managers selected a tool and spent about 20 minutes trying to remove the screws, even attempting to modify the tool on a grinder. Eventually he asked another employee to help. The second guy went to his car to get some specialized tool, spent another 10 minutes working on my problem, and finally removed the screws. I was pleasantly AMAZED that they would go to all that trouble for me. It was my first time in the store and I was going to buy a $5.00 screwdriver. These guys were incredibly helpful and generous with their time. They have earned a customer for life!

Inwent in to get a piece of glass cut (as I have dozens of times through the years) he was sitting on a stool and I asked if he could cut me a piece of glass and he said "we only have single pane" I told him I realized that and that's what I wanted . He then told me that it breaks if you even look at it and I said I know that and he is a bigger guy and his whole demeanor was cocky and is attitude was terrible as he still sat on the stool. And he said well the stuff's real fragile I said you don't want to do it that's okay but I don't like your attitude . He then got up and stood right in front of me like he was going to punch me or something and said well maybe I won't cut it then. I can't believe the older guy and back didn't say something to him. Needless to say I was getting pretty pissed off. I then said I'm not sure if you're having a bad day or what but this is very unprofessional. I literally thought the guy was going to punch me needless to say that situation is unfortunate but I know more than the older guy had to see what was going on and nobody bothered to say a word to me or apologize for what this young punk did I will never step foot back in that place again.
