Satisfactory food and nice service and vibes. 1 star off for the takeout situation. A paper box for fish sauce soaked noodles is crazyyyyyyy

Excellent Vietnamese restaurant in North Austin. The wicker lampshades are a great touch to the ceiling lights. Everything was delicious with exceptional service. We hope to be back soon to try the Ube Tiramisu and Crème Brûlée. They were out when we arrived an hour before closing. Both sound amazing!

A friend and I started getting Le Bleu's banh mi as takeout pretty regularly while covid restrictions were just starting to ease up, and I always thought they were good (not traditional and slightly expensive, but yummy) but that was all I'd ever ordered, and now I'm kind of kicking myself. I needed a place that could accommodate about 12 people on a Wed night that would also be good for a bunch of different diets and wouldn't be super noisy inside, and when I called, they said they could definitely do a reservation for us, so FYI, they're great for a larger group! The decor is beautiful and welcoming, and our server was really sweet. I got their shaken steak bun, and was given a huge portion that was generous on the rice noodles and the protein, with lots of herbs as well, and the sauce was well-balanced. It also comes with two egg rolls on top, so that was even more filling, although I probably would have preferred them whole and not sliced down the middle. The steak marinade was absolutely delicious, so I'll definitely be getting that again. Based on the feedback I got, everyone else was a fan as well, even those who had never had Vietnamese food before and were a little bit apprehensive about it being out of their comfort zones.

I dined in on New Years Day, so the restaurant wasn't too busy. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Bánh Mì sandwich. The sandwich arrived hot and neatly prepared. The waitress was polite and friendly. The restaurant was clean, and the place had some really interesting light fixtures hanging from the ceiling. I could see this being a go to spot for Bánh Mì sandwiches if I lived nearby.

Le Bleu is always a go-to for my family when we go out to dinner. The service is great, the prices are reasonable, and they are so consistent. The grilled pork bun is my favorite with fried egg rolls added. There is almost never a wait and I can always depend on getting great service.

So, I've been desperately on the search for places that have a delicious traditional banh mi. I have to say that this little shop has a pretty good one. I was missing some of the classic flavor from the seasoning sauce and butter mayo, also the pickled veggies were definitely not pickled enough. Things I did like... the bread, the amount of paté, the flavor of the meats... it could be a really great sandwich! The pho was delicious, but they don't use the typical noodles which is a little disappointing and they were overcooked and falling apart. The broth was flavorful and there was a decent amount of meat in it. I got a cafe sua da, but it was not great (I don't care for when restaurants use Cafe Du Monde coffee in them). This is a beautiful restaurant, very cozy inside and the wait staff was very nice. I will definitely be giving them another try.

Came here for crawfish (my latest obsession) and I had such a good experience! The crawfish here is more similar to a backyard crawfish boil experience than it is to Boiling Crab in that the crawfish isn't wet and saucy. Even without sauce though, the crawfish was plenty flavorful. I was a bit nervous that they didn't offer different spice levels but it turns out, they know what they're doing and the spice level was perfect.

What a cute little place! I had no idea all these years it's been here. My friend wanted to meet here because she said the banh mi was pretty good and I was skeptical because I haven't really heard of a good banhmi place in Austin. I have my faves in Houston only. But I was willing to try. I met her there and the hostess was so sweet and kind. I took a second look and swore I knew her and then I realized it's my son's HS friend lol no wonder ha but she seriously is the best hostess waitress Violet :) attentive sweet accommodating kind lol This place is cute and clean. Little hole n the wall. Would not have stumbled upon it. I wanted to try other things but since my friend said the banh mi was good I stuck to it. She got the bbq one but I always prefer traditional. And got spring rolls too. The price is a bit high because I am used to Houston banh mi prices but when I took a bite it was worth it. It was very tasty and I loved the bread texture which is so important in a good banhmi. The bread was perfect. The ingredients fresh. I didn't want cilantros but it was added and it was ok. I took it out. I felt the pate was a bit much and it was a bit saltier than my liking but it was still tasty and the bread alone was perfectly done. I enjoyed the spring rolls too. Very fresh and the peanut sauce tasty. I enjoyed the whole lunch experience. My only criticism was the price point. A bit high but nowadays everything is high. It's worth a visit. Cute lunch place. Especially if you aren't too hungry and wanted a yummy snack :) It's located in the strip mall behind chilis and Kung fu tea around the corner. Definitely easy access location. Now I know where Le Bleu is!

The staff here is absolutely fantastic. All the hosts and servers were extremely friendly, kind, and attentive. I came here for lunch today and I ordered the spicy chicken banh mi and the chicken nuggets.

    Fork for size reference
    Dana A.

Did an order for pick up and was shocked by the size of a few items for the price. The spring rolls were tiny for $9 and the peanut sauce was more like peanut butter than sauce. The shrimp skewers also tiny. The bahn mi was good and the mango salad was a good size, so not a total bust. I've dined in before and loved my experience. Still willing to come back, would need to be more selective next time.

You must get their octopus skewers! It's a little pricey and came with 3 of them but the tentacles were crispy and the body was juicy and slightly sour with the sauce! I might come back just for that. I also tried the salt and pepper shrimp which was good and their OG banh mi. I like the pate that was in it.

The restaurant ambiance is cute and has vibes. They do have cocktails here & a happy hour. We came by to just get a Banh Mi because my husband was wanting something fast and small after another dinner we had. The service was great - fast and pretty quick. giving 3 stars because the banh mi was $12.. and didn't come with anything else. Super disappointed at pricing for what you get. Husband said the banh mi was good but Houston banh mi is still better. After several different asian meals we've had in Austin... Austin is not the spot for asian food compared to Houston food. If you've never had Houston asian food, I would say this place is probably the best banh mi in Austin.

I have been here for both lunch and dinner and it is pretty busy during both times, so clearly it is popular. I tried the Pho Please pho and the mi kho dry egg noodles. The pho was fine but nothing really stood out. It tasted good enough but did not have that depth or richness that makes you crave pho again. The mi kho dry egg noodles were also pretty mid and honestly lacked flavor. It felt like something was missing and I kept wanting to add more to make it pop. I also got the brown sugar milk tea, which I actually really liked. It was very sweet, which worked for me, but some of my friends thought it was way too sweet for their taste. Definitely something to keep in mind if you prefer lighter drinks. You order at the counter and the food comes out pretty fast, which is nice when it is busy.

I never eat the bean spouts but use everything else and it always seems a waste of bean sprouts when I don't use them so I was thankful to have them hold the bean sprouts.
