The LAN LAN noodle soup with the wide noodle was good and it was fresh hand made. The soup was perfect not too salty, and their pork pan fried dumplings was delicious as well. The restaurant was very clean and great customer service.

I like how they have expanded their menu with additional options other than simply noodle options. We tried their pork pan fried dumplings (3/5) since the skin was overpoweringly thick, but the filling was decent. They have a small and large sweet and sour chicken rice plate. I had gotten the small size just to try it out, but it was surprisingly good (5/5). The pork sandwich bun was decent (4/5) since the beef was tasty but the sandwich bun could be better. We also had the traditional beef noodle soups with either the wide flat and triangle ones. You can't go wrong with these freshly made pulled noodles, and they are very hearty portions. Flavor is good and the beef is very tender. The smashed cucumbers were decent also (4/5), but nothing spectacular about them. Service is very quick, attentive and pleasant. This is a good go to spot for a quick meal. The dining room doesn't seat a lot of people so try not to come during busy dining hours on weekends to avoid a long wait.

You walk in thinking, "I'll just grab a quick bowl," and suddenly there's a noodle master stretching dough like he's training for the Olympics. Their Lanzhou-style noodles? Fresh, chewy, and honestly a little too good--they'll ruin instant ramen for you forever. The Lan noodle soup is so rich and savory. The died mixed noodle feels like a warm hug... if hugs came with chili oil and a kick that sneaks up on you. It's a small, busy spot, so yeah, you might wait--but don't worry, the line moves fast. Plus, it gives you time to emotionally prepare for choosing your noodle shape. Thin? Wide? Triangle? This is not a decision to take lightly. One wrong move and you'll be thinking about it halfway through your bowl like, "I should've gone wider."

What a great place! The noodles are incredibly flavorful and well done. I ordered the L1 LAN Signature Noodles the house special and it did not disappoint. One thing I really loved is the variety of noodle types you can choose from. I went with the wide flat noodles, which were perfect. The dish was packed with flavor, and the noodles themselves were exceptional. Also not to be missed are the smashed cucumbers they're light, refreshing, and the perfect complement to the meal. Some if you are in the neighborhood do yourself a favor and check out LAN. If you want, I can punch it up with more personality or make it shorter for Yelp-style impact.

On a grey day was craving soup noodles and my brother recommended this spot. They have a wide selection of noodle types so you can optimize your experience. I went with the round medium noodles with Spicy LAN noodles. The texture of the noodles had a fresh bouncy texture. The broth spicy as in flavor but not too much heat where your mouth is burning. I'm also pleased with the cold dish of pig ears and pig feet.

Satisfied the craving for longevity noodle on this Chinese New Year's day. Came to visit from DTLB, their name kept popping up when searching for Longevity noodles so we went on a little road trip. The noodles are delicious and chewy, the meat tender and the radishes tasty. You can customize the spice level, asked for medium and it hit the spot. The tendon appetizer was good, but probably would like it better at room temperature or slightly warm as opposed to cold. The soup dumplings were OK. Very friendly staff in a no frills fast service restaurant. I would definitely pop in when near by and craving a yummy bowl of beer noodle soup.

LAN Noodle is a no-frills, you know what you're getting into, homey restaurant. Prices also felt more than reasonable for what you get. I was initially skeptical, but we were quickly seated by a very accommodating server and host who constantly checked on us and took care of us from start to finish, quite well. I got the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup with Wide Flat Noodles and it was quite good! Better than expected too. I know, I know, the reluctance is showing, ha. The flavor of the soup wasn't groundbreaking, but it was quite pleasant, light, and I couldn't help but keep sipping, one mouthful after the other. Candidly, I can see myself craving this during a rainy day or when I get sick. The noodles were also chewy, wide, and just hit the spot. Disclaimer: I'm a huge fan of wide flat noodles, and they did a really good job here! Our table also ordered XLB and pan-fried dumplings to share. Both were above average and hit the spot. Overall, if I'm in the area again, I would totally come back again.

First time at this place. All the food was enjoyable. Quick service. Not a big dinning area, good for smaller groups. I would come back to try other noodle dishes. Caution: there are periodic thumping sounds from the chef working on the noodle dough throughout the meal.

They make their hand pulled noodles fresh in house and it tastes bouncy and delish. But what's up w the uncooked spinach thrown on top of the noodle soup??? It wasn't busy when we first got there but slowly people started walking in. Feels like a homey, no frills restaurant. Parking is available right outside but can get pretty busy.

I thought it was okay. Felt a little rushed because we just sat down and server kept coming to ask what we wanted. I thought the broth was a little on the plain side and the noodle, although super fresh (saw the guy actually pulling the noodles and throwing them into the pot) it wasnt that flavorful. Tea egg was good though. The wide flat noodle is maybe 3 large noodles in the bowl. Also, if you dine in, itll be better to get nonspicy and add your own as the spicy chilli sauce is the same as the one on the table.

OMG! I don't know why I didn't try this place sooner! Their noodles are just WOW. The texture is so amazing, fresh and chewy! I still haven't found a place with that texture of noodles in SoCal yet. I ordered the thinnest noodles, I loved it! I felt like they're understaffed but staff always trying their best to serve people. You couldn't tell it's a couple running the restaurant which reminds me a lot of my parents. I came here on a weekday past 8pm, it was still PACKED. I will definitely come back!

Should you check this place out? Yes! Let me say upfront if you want authentic handmade noodles, Lan Noodle is the place to go. I walked in and immediately saw the cook pulling noodles like he's training for an arm-wrestling tournament. Thirty years of noodle mastery in one pair of forearms. You can smell the dough, hear the slap of noodles hitting the counter, it's got this alive feeling, like the kitchen is mid-performance and you just walked in on the good part. Braised Beef Noodle Soup The broth is clear, light, and clean, simmered for hours with beef bones and aromatics. It's not aggressively salty, not heavy, not greasy. Think soothing rather than punch-you-in-the-face. This is the kind of broth where you take a sip first before touching the noodles. The beef is slow-braised until it's fork-tender, but it still holds shape. Not shredded, not dry, just soft enough to pull apart with chopsticks. Very classic, very traditional. Then you've got cilantro, green onions, daikon, all there to keep things fresh and balanced. Nothing feels random. Every element has a job. Lan Noodle's noodles are hand-pulled Lanzhou-style wheat noodles from Northwestern China, and the big thing is texture. These aren't soft, floppy noodles that disappear the second they hit hot broth. They're springy, elastic, and chewy in a deliberate way. They also offer multiple shapes. Thin, medium, thick, and wide. Each one changes the experience. Thicker noodles soak up more broth and oil, thinner ones feel lighter and faster. Same dough, different personalities. Also in many restaurants that use lesser quality noodles, that stick together, LAN noodle's noodles don't. They really feel fresh and high-quality. The server is super nice and efficient. You're in and out in a jiffy! Date Spot? Not for a first date. The server leaves you alone unless you flag him down to get something. But you're in and out too fast to really talk and get to know your date. So, this one's for family, friend or significant other. Group Spot? The spot is a little small, though they have some seating outside. I'd say 10 max at this place, so they have room to serve others. Final Verdict Lan Noodle is one of those places that doesn't need hype. The food does the talking. If you love hand-pulled noodles, just go. You'll get it.

So happy to see more Xi'an food popping up around SGV, especially when it's done this well. As…read moresomeone born and raised in Xi'an, the flavors here felt genuinely authentic, and I already know I'll be back. We ordered the Youpo Noodles with Beef Brisket, Marinated Beef Sandwich, and Cumin Lamb Sandwich. The marinated beef sandwich was the standout. They absolutely nailed the execution, from the tender, flavorful meat to the texture of the bread. I would come back for this alone. It immediately took me back to eating rou jia mo from a street cart while walking around Xi'an, which is about the highest compliment I can give it. The noodles were freshly handmade, wonderfully springy, and completely soaked with flavor. The beef brisket made them even more satisfying. The cumin lamb sandwich was the only item I felt slightly on the fence about. The filling was good, but I personally wanted a little more seasoning and a stronger cumin flavor. The interior is spacious and clean, service was fast and painless, and there is plenty of parking in the lot. Such a great addition to Arcadia and easily one of the better Xi'an spots I've tried in the area.

Everything was tender, aromatic, and clearly prepared with great care and attention to flavor and ingredients. Spice lovers will definitely be happy here, but even if you normally don't eat spicy food, you'll still find yourself going back for bite after bite. The restaurant itself is simple yet elegant, clean, and comfortable, with the warm feeling of a beloved local spot. The service is friendly, and the food comes out quickly, creating a relaxed and welcoming dining experience. Especially after a long day, having a hot bowl of their oil-splashed noodles feels genuinely comforting. If you enjoy unique Xi'an cuisine, I highly recommend giving this place a try. You can taste that the flavors have not been overly adjusted just to appeal to the masses. Instead, the restaurant preserves the authentic spirit, warmth, and bold flavors of traditional Xi'an cooking.

Come for the food, but LOOK AT THIS PLACE…read more Okay, I have to start with the atmosphere because this place is absolutely STUNNING. The second you walk in, there is so much to look at. The woodwork, the hanging wooden plaques, the Japanese-inspired décor, the trees throughout the restaurant, the lighting, and especially the little honeycomb-style booths built into the walls. It almost feels like you've stepped into this little Japanese village rather than just another restaurant. Whoever designed this place understood the assignment. I went during the week, so thankfully it wasn't very crowded, and my friend and I were able to sit upstairs in one of the honeycomb booths. If one is available, DO IT. It made the whole experience that much more fun, and you get such a cool view of the restaurant from up there. Now, FOOD. I ordered the Pork Tonkatsu Omurice with curry sauce, which comes with chicken fried rice wrapped in that beautiful fluffy omelet, topped with pork tonkatsu and curry. When they bring it out, they actually ask if you'd like to record the presentation before they cut/open the egg--which, obviously, YES. It's one of those little touches that turns ordering food into an actual experience. And it was BOMB. The egg was fluffy, the pork tonkatsu had that crispy texture, and everything worked really well with the fried rice and curry. The curry itself isn't particularly spicy, so if you're someone who doesn't tolerate much heat, don't let the word curry scare you. It had plenty of flavor without being hot. Personally, I like my food SPICY spicy, so I added some extra spice to mine, but that's completely personal preference. I also ordered the Thai iced tea, and that was delicious--fresh, creamy, refreshing, and exactly what I wanted with the meal. Overall, I genuinely enjoyed the food, but I think the atmosphere is what pushed the experience over the top for me. The restaurant itself is just SO COOL. There are restaurants where you eat, leave, and that's it--and then there are places where you're looking around the entire time because you keep noticing another little detail. KYURAMEN was definitely the latter. Good food + Thai tea + an omurice presentation + sitting inside a freaking honeycomb booth overlooking this gorgeous restaurant? Yeah. I'm coming back. Tip: If you have the option to sit in one of the elevated honeycomb booths, absolutely take it. It makes the experience.

Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. When we asked for recommendations, he pointed us in the right direction. We ordered the Sapporo Miso Ramen (Mild), Tokyo Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen, the Tonkatsu Omurice, and started with the Yakitori Platter. The ramen was excellent. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The Yakitori Platter was a great choice because it let us sample a variety of grilled proteins, and even the grilled zucchini was incredibly delicious. The presentation of the Tonkatsu Omurice was impressive, and the curry sauce was well-balanced with just the right amount of spice to complement the crispy tonkatsu. The cold jelly dish (mung bean) is AMAZING. Who knew such a small unassuming mom and pop shop could rival some of the Michelin spots we've ventured to. But honestly, most food that's made like your Mama made it is obviously gonna be better than any restaurant you ever go to. This is like they just happened to have a restaurant in their home. When the tomato egg noodle arrived, I was surprised by how little the sauce was compared to the amount of noodles, probably 2 tablespoons of sauce on top of the noodles and a few shredded cucumber. The cold jelly, according to the pictures, supposed to have some shredded bean curd and beans on top but again there was a few shredded cucumber on top of it and that was it. So I ask the server why the food looks different from the picture and she just answered "That's just how it is". Based on the amount of food we got, everything was overpriced. From my understanding this place was Michelin rated in 2021, I'm not sure how they got it, but quality definitely was not like that when they were rated. While I was paying, I saw the worker took out some frozen meat and placed them on the floor. - I mean are you serious ? ? I don't usually leave for reviews, but what they did really made me concerned about the food safety there and I want people to know. I'm sorry, but I don't think I will come back.
