1/2 Chicken with Rice & Beans
    Manuel E.

I visited this location since they're like 510 minutes away from my office for the first time after working several years around this area I decided to give them a try. The parking is a pain in the butt because of the drive-through is full and your parked and you need to get out you're stuck until somebody lets you in and you basically gotta do the line with a drive-through to get out Number one I ordered chicken with rice beans and potato. The rice and beans were good so was the potato the chicken and the other hand was overcooked and it looked like if it was done at 9 o'clock in the morning when I picked up my food was 3 o'clock. The restaurant was clean and everybody was working hard behind the counter.

Different price online VS at the restaurant For instance Jalea Familiar

As a regular customer I find it very difficult to understand the price difference of the same exact item (jalea familiar)online and the store . I called and they gave me a different price, once I went to the store I noted the difference. There is simply no reasoning for this absurd difference. Both pictures were taken on May 10 2024.

Since I discovered this place about a month ago it has become my new lunch obsession. I get the seafood gumbo at least once a week because it tastes delicious but also the portion is enough for two meals! My co-workers have gotten the shrimp and chicken and they love it too. I am a sauce person and their sauces are phenomenal, I just grab them and add them to my white rice - what joy! I saw some people complaining about cleanliness - this place is clean. There is always a guy that's literally standing by the door waiting to grab your tray from the table as you finish your meal. When he's not waiting to take your tray he is cleaning the sauce stand and nearby tables... Yes, there is a bit of a language barrier since most of the staff speak Spanish but they understand and they are extremely accommodating. Be patient, be kind, and enjoy an amazing Peruvian meal!

STAY CLEAR!! This is absolutely the worst location ever!!! I'll get into my food after I let everyone know how filthy & dirty & disgusting this restaurant is. I literally just watched this lady blow her nose with gloves on throw out the tissue, keep the gloves on and continue to serve food. Like...WTH Just about Every Single employee is eating in the kitchen & behind the register!!! Not only will I be making a call to Corporate tomorrow in the morning I also am going to call the city and have the health inspector come in because every other La Granja I have been to in other neighborhoods is impeccable in comparison. As I'm writing this review I'm watching an employee drink fruit punch and eat french fries in the kitchen. I ordered the number 6 which is supposed to be a grouper fillet fried. I said to the young lady bc she stuttered upon answering what kind of fish it was, that if it was not grouper I was going to come back and complain. Sure enough I get all the way to my mothers house and it is not grouper it is Swai fish. I return to the restaurant ordered the red snapper whole and had to pay the difference in price & they didn't want to give me the Maduros. The lady then pulls up grouper fillets on her phone and shows them to me as if the fillets on her phone is what is in my to go container. This is the worst location in life it is filthy; it is disgusting; and I hope they get closed and ordered shut down. They have locations in North Miami Beach as well as Hallandale Beach and they're up to par but then they open this location in Miami Gardens and it's below sub par. I guess Miami Gardens according to this establishment doesn't deserve the same caliber as their other locations in "better" neighborhoods. The whole fried red snapper was extremely dry and had no flavor at all. I am so upset and unhappy that I even came here. I should've never ever came to this location. I should do a charge back. :::UPDATE::: I called Corporate this morning and spoke with Eric he told me that sometimes the distributors mess up and send the wrong fish & that indeed this location was serving SWAI as GROUPER!!! He didn't offer me my money back, nothing but an apology saying "every location should be up to par no matter what neighborhood it's in". He supposedly is going to contact the regional manager to inform them and send under covers to order, review cameras & check the yelp reviews. Never again. I'm done w La Granja for good.

La Granja has come to be a nice little chain here in south Florida and while each location is so similar, there are a lot of differences to each as well. This free-standing building located on 441 in Miami Gardens is a nice spot for me for lunch as it is real close to my work. There are a lot of options in the area, but the speed and fresh taste is nice at La Granja. The location, while a nice dining room size, has minimal parking, when we got here there were not many people inside and the parking lot was almost full. Sure the employees have to park somewhere, but there should be ample room for the patrons. This is just bad lot planning, not blaming the chain. The service was nice and speedy. Our order was taken quick and without issues from myself who always makes a change to the norm and alters enough to confuse most staff members. The lunch was hot, fresh and tasty, and while my wife and I each had something similar, there was variety and each one of us enjoyed for our own reasons. We will be back surely for lunch or even a quick meal and recommend the place to anyone. Cheers.

This newly opened La Granja recently opened its doors in Miami Gardens on 441 in the old location of Bojangles. This Peruvian fast food joint offers quick meals on the go that will satisfy any appetite. My favoriate thing to order so far is the rotisserie chicken. No matter what time it is, lunch or dinner, this La Granja location offers extremely juicy chicken that is not overly dried and seasoned. The seasoning is on point and every bite of the chicken you have juice running down the corners of your mouth. Don't forget to check out their specials. All specials come with yellow rice, beans and plantains.

I'm only leaving a 1 star simply because I had to an order to write a review on . Howvere; they do not deserve it. On 3/11/2018 I purchased 2 different meals a #2 and a #6 both meals came with white rice and black beans. My sister in-laws started eating her food and felt something weird in her mouth. Thank God she did not swallow. She pulled whatever it was out of her mouth only to discover that it was a green bug that was in the black beans. I was so disgusted by it and I could only imagine how disgusted she felt as well. i returned back to the restaurant and asked for a supervisor, of course every employee refused to point out who the supervisor was once they were aware of the issue. I was so alarmed to see how non-chalant and un-appolgetic they employee was. I will never ever eat at another La Granja ever again. As a matter of fact, I'm afraid to even eat out. Horrible experience.

It was tart with a slight heat from the chili, with cilantro, thinly sliced red onion, sweet potato, and giant corn - nicely salty. The fish was fresh, and was nicely marinated. The Causa Ganadora was very good - cold mashed potato with Peruvian red pepper, oil, and lime, serviced with panko shrimp with a maracuya sauce. The panko shirmp was lightly crisp. The Lomo Saltado was good, too. The meat was tender, the fries were good, onions, and tomatoes with a side of rice. The Parihuela Acevichada was very tasty, served hot, with corvina, shrimp, squid, and musssels. To drink, I tried the Chicha Morada, with purple corn, pineapple, clove, and cinnamon was good. My server was friendly. It's a small place, with a small bar.

We really had never tried Ceviche before, but the online menu really looked spectacular. Our waitress was Angie, and she was fantastic. Such a great personality, and she went out of her way to explain all the details before we ordered. It's actually disappointing that we are just passing through and may never go back, because I would seriously like to try every last item. Rather than bore you with the list of everything we ordered, I'll share what we considered to be the best of the best. CALAMARI... we both love calamari, and we have eaten this dish at many different places. This was the best ever. Perfect. CEVICHE DE SALMON EN CANASTA DE TOSTON... seriously one of the most delicious things I have ever put in my mouth. While we did order both the ceviche camaron and the ceviche trio mixto, the hands-down winner, no questions asked, was the CEVICHE DIVINO. We finished with the TORTA DE CHOCOLATE and the smoothest, creamiest cup of coffee ever. My wife is a chocolate cake expert, and while I was finishing all the ceviche, she was having an out of body experience with the cake. I have to say that while we are borderline foodies and love cooking and eating, we probably are not the most adventurous. So glad today was different, and so thrilled with our decision to eat here. 10/10
