Crazy realistic Impossible carne asada tacos. They veganized them for me by removing crema. The staff was super helpful so if you ask about vegan options I think they'll point you in the right direction. So realistic I actually had to Google photos of Impossible steak and real carne asada because I was worried they accidentally gave me the real thing. The salsa bar in the corner with hot sauces and pickled peppers was much appreciated too. I will come back as long as they have Impossible meat on the menu! The ambiance is basic fast food type taco spot: nothing special. read more

Went to Coyo Taco my recent trip to Miami. Was lookin for something affordable and hopefully good in Brickell and came across Coyo Taco. They managed to do both. Good neighborhood taco spot that was well within budget, very good tacos and good service as well. Had the beef barria tacos and shrimp tacos. Both hella good, very well seasoned. My friend was really excited to show me Coyo Tacos, but I was a little (just a little) disappointed by their soft tacos. I ordered their carne asada tacos, which were generously filled. However, the actual taco shell was so soft and broke after one bite. I am used to most places double shelling them because of this. It isn't a big deal, but I had to eat the majority of the taco deconstructed, eating the filling with a spoon. Their birria taco had a harder shell and didn't have the same issue, though. I also liked the birria way more than the carne asada. I can see why this place is a hit, especially with their taco deals Monday-Wednesday. read more

I wanted a quick snack on our way back home and stopped here for some tacos. I had two tacos al pastor and they were average. Bonus points for the little slices of pineapple, but it's not al pastor like back home, where it's shaved off a spit (like shawarma). One taco went down easily, the second tortilla failed and dropped all its contents into the box. At $10 for two tiny tacos, I thought it was overpriced, even for Brickell. For a full meal, I could easily eat 6+ tacos. If you need some food in a pinch, this place will work, but I'm inclined to believe there a better options nearby. read more

We visited this taco spot as a recommended stop by our hotel while we were in Miami for a short stay. It was a super short walk over and worth the walk. We had a small group of extremely hungry travelers and this place didn't disappoint. This is a casual fast casual spot with some Hispanic centered decor. We were immediately greeted upon entry and offered help with any questions about the menu. We had two food allergy members in our group so we had questions about ingredients and cross contamination which the front staff reassured us there would be no issues and they immediately communicated with the kitchen staff about how to prepare our dishes to alleviate any concerns. We ordered a number of dishes including carne asada, beef birria and pollo Al carbon tacos, pollo al carbon burrito bowl, pollo al carbon quesadillas, arroz verde and an Oder of churros. Their frozen drinks are with a premade mix you can see from the order station. We still tried a Coyo margarita and pins colada. Our service was really great. Good started coming out shortly after we found a table. It smelled amazing and it was hard waiting for everyone to get their food so we could get started. However when we did start eating everyone loved what they had picked. The portion sizes were more than enough to fill us up. The presentation was amazing with each dish carefully plated for maximum appeal. This place uses fresh ingredients and seasons to perfection. The spice level was just right for a range of ages (12-50). My personal favorite was the burrito bowl and chicken taco. The burrito bowl had a good amount of toppings and the rice base was so good. The chicken in both dishes was tender and well seasoned. Everything felt balanced. However I will say there were no complaints from anyone in our group. Everyone loved everything. One item you cannot miss are the churros. I love churros and will always order them if they're available. I figured most of us would be too full to want dessert so I only ordered one. That was a mistake. I asked to have our churros held to the end of our meal. They were brought out piping hot covered in cinnamon sugar and with chocolate dipping sauce. Everyone wanted some so we split them in quarters. I immediately had to go back and get 3 more orders. The combination of being hot, fresh and covered in cinnamon sugar perfection make these absolutely irresistible. Do not forget to order these. We would go back just for the churros!!! Overall this is a great spot. Try it next time you're in the area. You might even spot Montell Williams walking around. We ran into him twice . read more

Needed a late night taco fix within walking distance and Coyo Taco hit the spot! I ordered the Birria taco (set of 2) along with the pastor taco (set of 2) and one order of churros. The service was prompt considering the above average food quality. Al pastor tacos were my favorite. Birria tacos served ther purpose but the meat was a bit dry. Hot sauce selection was good with different non alcoholic and alcoholic drink choices. Ambiance is reminiscent of an upscale fast food location. We love coming to Coyo Taco whenever we are in Miami! The tacos are absolutely delicious, but a little pricier than the average street taco. They have a salsa bar at the back with 5-6 different types of salsa. Personally, the Al pastor tacos and shrimp tacos are my favorites. The service is always pretty good and the food comes out relatively fast. This location seems to have quicker service when we've visited vs. the Wynwood location. read more

This is probably the worst place I've ever eaten at. We ordered tacos with specific toppings taken off, and they just put everything on it. I've had Coyo before and have tried their fish bowls and tacos along with the cauliflower tacos. I decided to try the taco bowl recently for delivery and was pleasantly surprised! The bowl comes with their rice, beans, pico, crema, cheese and a good amount of cauliflower. I ordered a side of the salsa verde. I did find two pieces of meat which wasn't fun but overall the flavor, portion, and price was worth it! Would definitely order or come by to Coyo again soon to try other food options. read more

I asked someone from Miami if they would recommend any particular taco spot since I was craving tacos and their response was Coyo Taco. At first I was a bit skeptical since it is a chain so I figured it's generic mass produced food. But, I was wrong. It's a fountain of amazing Mexican food. After reading the Yelp reviews, I decided to be adventurous and tried the duck tacos (carnitas de pato) along with a carne asada burrito. It was a Monday so the burritos were $10 which is a great price and the tacos were on the expensive side for $12 but seeing that it's duck, I didn't mind. The tortilla for the tacos tasted very fresh, homemade, and was the perfect thickness--it didn't fall apart but it also wasn't too thick where it was stealing flavor from the duck. The texture of the duck was sort of like dark chicken meat. So if you're worried about the texture, don't be deterred. Flavor wise, it was amazing! It was sweet, but the cilantro made it taste herby, and the cheese provided a bit of creaminess (there wasn't that much). If you're like me, you don't like raw red onions but in this case, you couldn't really taste them so I wouldn't bother asking for it without red onions. I would 100% get this again. The burrito was also delicious and also pretty heavy so I knew it was PACKED! The only complaint I had about the burrito was that the way it was rolled, all the meat was on either ends, followed by a layer of beans, and then the rice. It would've been nice if it was rolled so that each bite had beans, rice, and meat. The only ingredient that was well dispersed was the cheese. Speaking of cheese, the kind used for this burrito is awesome. It's not a stringy cheese but at the same time it does seem melted. The rice was great, I tasted a bit of spinach in it. The beans are also good. They are a bit mushed but aren't watery which is good (soggy burritos are the worst). The meat is well seasoned along with all the other ingredients. The cheese and tomatoes weren't salty so they balanced out the flavors. One downside of this place is that it is in the Brickell city center area so parking is a mess and around $3 an hour. A positive to that is that you can explore the neighboring shops and stores to burn off some of the food afterwards or before to build up an appetite. Another pro is that it's open late so if you're craving something amazing late at night, this is your place. If I lived closer, I would get food from here more often but I'm glad I at least got to try it. read more
