My Canadian husband discovered Cuban Guys-Miramar on his way home from work on a Tuesday. He ordered the Daily Special (Chicken Cuban Bowl) and brought some home for me to try. I was impressed. The price was right, the flavors were authentic and the portions were generous. I investigated Cuban Guys and learned the Frita Cubana is the Friday Daily Special. I'm Cuban born, grew up in SoFL, and just returned 6 months ago after having lived in Canada for 9 years. Hardly any Cuban restaurants there. I couldn't wait! We arrived just before 7pm, and after taking a drive around the perimeter of the shopping center, had to park at the gas station next door. Ok, not a deal breaker. There were only 4 people in the shop, all seated at the same table. We walked up to the counter anticipating to be greeted in some way, but the lady there was deeply focused on her pad and looking at paper receipts, totally oblivious to our presence for a good two minutes. I get it, she might have been in the middle of a task, but perhaps look up and say "Hola, Bienvenidos, los atiendo en un momento" .. but no, nada, nothing. I finally spoke, commenting about her being busy with delivery and pick-up orders, and that broke the spell. The Frita ground beef patty, while flavorful enough, was extremely dry and kind of thin. It was served on a brioche roll, not a Cuban bread bun. We ordered three Fritas. Two contained fresh sautéed onions, one did not. The julienne fries were bland, thin/small and not generously used. We also ordered an order each of the Frituras de Malanga, and Fried Yuca sides. One of the Frituras was not fully cooked (middle) even though brown on the outside, and could have been better seasoned (hardly any visible cut onions or parsley), but not all that bad. The real disappointment was the fried yuca. Served NOT in the natural original form crispy deep fried to a golden brown pieces version of this root vegetable that we were anticipating. These were equally sized croqueta shaped ground yuca fingers. I understand this is fast Cuban, but come on, yuca served this way is a disservice to this staple delicacy The mango juice was very good, but not cold enough. Asked for a bit of ice on our way out. The tamales looked pretty good and must be, as there was only one left in the tray near the register. I will not completely rule out Cuban Guys, as there are other items on the menu I'd like to try, but not ordering the Frita or Yuca again. read more

This a weekly go to location for lunch. It's by my job, plus great taste and pricing is perfect. I usually order the Cuban Bowl, my choice protein is grilled chicken. I love the flavor of how it is cooked, taste like mom dukes made it. It comes with rice and black beans(yes please , it's a staple in Latino diet), sweet plantains and grilled onions, what a combination of flavors. I don't know if to quickly devour it (cause it's so good) or take my time to savor every spoonful. Either way you will not be disappointed, the cherry on top is the budget friendly price under $10. We had seen The Cuban Guys on DoorDash for a while but never ordered because we have a few Cuban spots around us. However, it was late and we didn't feel like going out so the Cuban guys it was! We ordered a few things. We got the Cuban burger, the Cuban sandwich and the Cuban bowl. The burger was as expected. Didn't blow me away but it was solid and the pricing was definitely right. Everything on their menu is really fairly priced (unlike every other restaurant). The Cuban sandwich, another solid piece of eating. Only criticism that would come from me is the amount of yellow mustard on it. I'm a big mustard fan so it wasn't a bad thing for me, but my wife wouldn't even take a bite. The Cuban bowl was the absolute winner. Fantastic portion for the price. Rice, beans, tender moist vacca frita and plantanos that were cut up making each little piece crispy on the outside and soft and sweet on the inside. Recently came here to wait while my wife's car was being fixed and we needed food. We stumbled upon it by accident and said why not after walking in and seeing all the great food items on the menu. The prices here were insanely cheap and the service was amazing with how fast our food was prepared and how quick out order was taken. I decided to get the egg and cheese sandwich and it cane out perfect as well as my wife deciding to get the steak sandwich. The eggs were cooked to perfection and the crispy topping added as well as the cheese being melted perfectly made the sandwich a home run. The steak sandwich my wife got was equally as amazing and the meat was cooked and juicy beyond belief. I almost stole her sandwich as well because of how good it was. I decided to get a coffee con Leche and they made it so insanely fast I barely had time to sit before it was prepared. It was very good but a little too sweet for me. The place was super clean and there was a nice amount of seating spaces around the place so I didn't feel shoulder to shoulder with anyone. The place is small and clean. I ordered easily online. Interestingly enough when you call to order they send you a text to order. Good is on point. I especially love the fries who are a unique ship and it's a must order every time. They have daily specials that are great mine was $6 for a pan con lechon sandwich. Best Cuban I've had in a while there was plenty of meat on the sandwich!! The plantain chips could have had a little more salt on them but otherwise they tasted great. Drove out of the way to get authentic take out Cuban sandwiches for our drive to the Keys. We got sandwiches, but they shouldn't call them Cuban. Not pressed! Or not pressed and wrong bread, check out the pic. Also, little meat, all bread would have given 1 star except the Cuban coffee was spot on! Since contacting this business to complain the owner reached out to me. He refunded my money and has repeatedly offered to comp us a meal and to allow them to make it right. Best food in this strip mall. The flavor in the fritas is so good. Definitely one of my favorites for $6.00. There is a check-in offer right here on Yelp for a buy one sandwich get one free. Make sure you tell them before you order. Also tried the Ropa Vieja, which is very good. The sandwich was ok, nothing thrilling and nothing bad, I have just had way better. My husband is Cuban so I eat a lot of Cuban food. The place is well lit nestled on the corner of this shopping center. Parking is usually available and we have yet to have any issues with counter service. While there sandwich's are pretty run of the mill it's their little fried potato strings that give it their edge. I've been here a couple times its honestly good for a quick meal if your craving cuban food you will get your satisfied with you typical cuban sandwiches. This visit I did go for the yelps Latin heritage month, pretty nice I was able to try their famous frita, super tasty they also gave me a croqueta very warm and a nice crispy crunch. The atmosphere was nice the restaurant played music, but not to loud so it was just very casual. clean restaurant not complaints about the cleanliness. customer service was nice she completely knew what I was talking about when I mentioned the yelp. Stopped in to get a bistec con pan (steak sandwich) to go. The place was full, most the tables were occupied and there was a line that moved very quickly. My sandwich came with lettuce and tomato, a bit of mayo and crispy potato sticks on it. The bread was so soft and fresh and the sandwich was just perfect. They offer daily specials after 4 pm and the sandwich that I got for $6.50 would have been only $4 later in the day. Came here for quick lunch. Couple of things. Line lives pretty fast not bad to order or to get my order. But when I received the Frita Cuban I assumed it came with cheese and at no time was offered it at all very disappointing. When I received my frita other than not having cheese the meat was cooked very dry and no flavor. Had to add hot sauce and some salt in order to have some flavor. Very disappointing especially with frita being my favorite style of burger. Jorge the owner reached out to me personally and heard my feedback and assured that he would personally following up with the store in order to make sure that they are following the processes and procedures that they have in place. I went in yesterday again for lunch. First let me tell you that the Frita was AMAZING just like expected. The cashier offered me cheese and onions for which I was thrilled about. Once again the service was spectacular and a very friendly staff. Very clean and organized store from the condiment stand, tables and even the restrooms very top notch shape. I was very impressed with my visit that I reached out to Jorge the owner provided my very positive feedback. I also had the pleasure of meeting Julio the Director of Operations. Great leader which you can tell in conversation with him. I highly suggest this location and look forward to more future visits.
