My Canadian husband discovered Cuban Guys-Miramar on his way home from work on a Tuesday. He ordered the Daily Special (Chicken Cuban Bowl) and brought some home for me to try. I was impressed. The price was right, the flavors were authentic and the portions were generous. I investigated Cuban Guys and learned the Frita Cubana is the Friday Daily Special. I'm Cuban born, grew up in SoFL, and just returned 6 months ago after having lived in Canada for 9 years. Hardly any Cuban restaurants there. I couldn't wait! We arrived just before 7pm, and after taking a drive around the perimeter of the shopping center, had to park at the gas station next door. Ok, not a deal breaker. There were only 4 people in the shop, all seated at the same table. We walked up to the counter anticipating to be greeted in some way, but the lady there was deeply focused on her pad and looking at paper receipts, totally oblivious to our presence for a good two minutes. I get it, she might have been in the middle of a task, but perhaps look up and say "Hola, Bienvenidos, los atiendo en un momento" .. but no, nada, nothing. I finally spoke, commenting about her being busy with delivery and pick-up orders, and that broke the spell. The Frita ground beef patty, while flavorful enough, was extremely dry and kind of thin. It was served on a brioche roll, not a Cuban bread bun. We ordered three Fritas. Two contained fresh sautéed onions, one did not. The julienne fries were bland, thin/small and not generously used. We also ordered an order each of the Frituras de Malanga, and Fried Yuca sides. One of the Frituras was not fully cooked (middle) even though brown on the outside, and could have been better seasoned (hardly any visible cut onions or parsley), but not all that bad. The real disappointment was the fried yuca. Served NOT in the natural original form crispy deep fried to a golden brown pieces version of this root vegetable that we were anticipating. These were equally sized croqueta shaped ground yuca fingers. I understand this is fast Cuban, but come on, yuca served this way is a disservice to this staple delicacy The mango juice was very good, but not cold enough. Asked for a bit of ice on our way out. The tamales looked pretty good and must be, as there was only one left in the tray near the register. I will not completely rule out Cuban Guys, as there are other items on the menu I'd like to try, but not ordering the Frita or Yuca again.
We had seen The Cuban Guys on DoorDash for a while but never ordered because we have a few Cuban spots around us. However, it was late and we didn't feel like going out so the Cuban guys it was! We ordered a few things. We got the Cuban burger, the Cuban sandwich and the Cuban bowl. The burger was as expected. Didn't blow me away but it was solid and the pricing was definitely right. Everything on their menu is really fairly priced (unlike every other restaurant). The Cuban sandwich, another solid piece of eating. Only criticism that would come from me is the amount of yellow mustard on it. I'm a big mustard fan so it wasn't a bad thing for me, but my wife wouldn't even take a bite. The Cuban bowl was the absolute winner. Fantastic portion for the price. Rice, beans, tender moist vacca frita and plantanos that were cut up making each little piece crispy on the outside and soft and sweet on the inside. Overall, would definitely order again on the occasion we are looking for well priced delicious Cuban grub!!
This a weekly go to location for lunch. It's by my job, plus great taste and pricing is perfect. I usually order the Cuban Bowl, my choice protein is grilled chicken. I love the flavor of how it is cooked, taste like mom dukes made it. It comes with rice and black beans(yes please , it's a staple in Latino diet), sweet plantains and grilled onions, what a combination of flavors. I don't know if to quickly devour it (cause it's so good) or take my time to savor every spoonful. Either way you will not be disappointed, the cherry on top is the budget friendly price under $10. The place is kept very clean and the staff were friendly.
Recently came here to wait while my wife's car was being fixed and we needed food. We stumbled upon it by accident and said why not after walking in and seeing all the great food items on the menu. The prices here were insanely cheap and the service was amazing with how fast our food was prepared and how quick out order was taken. I decided to get the egg and cheese sandwich and it cane out perfect as well as my wife deciding to get the steak sandwich. The eggs were cooked to perfection and the crispy topping added as well as the cheese being melted perfectly made the sandwich a home run. The steak sandwich my wife got was equally as amazing and the meat was cooked and juicy beyond belief. I almost stole her sandwich as well because of how good it was. I decided to get a coffee con Leche and they made it so insanely fast I barely had time to sit before it was prepared. It was very good but a little too sweet for me. The place was super clean and there was a nice amount of seating spaces around the place so I didn't feel shoulder to shoulder with anyone. Overall a nice clean place with great prices and friendly staff, I'll definitely be here again!
Best Cuban I've had in a while there was plenty of meat on the sandwich!! The plantain chips could have had a little more salt on them but otherwise they tasted great. I ordered a side of the fried onions and put them on my sandwich! I would go back here again especially for the price! This is a great place to stop by for lunch!
Love the Fritas and the fries here! The cafe con leche with the free breakfast sandwich is on point! And the workers are always nice - come by and check them out - thank me later - it's a 3peat this week with all their daily specials !!
Drove out of the way to get authentic take out Cuban sandwiches for our drive to the Keys. We got sandwiches, but they shouldn't call them Cuban. Not pressed! Or not pressed and wrong bread, check out the pic. Also, little meat, all bread would have given 1 star except the Cuban coffee was spot on! Since contacting this business to complain the owner reached out to me. He refunded my money and has repeatedly offered to comp us a meal and to allow them to make it right. Unfortunately we are no longer in that area of the country. I'm changing my initial review from two star to 3 star as I really appreciate his effort.
Best food in this strip mall. The flavor in the fritas is so good. Definitely one of my favorites for $6.00. There is a check-in offer right here on Yelp for a buy one sandwich get one free. Make sure you tell them before you order. Also tried the Ropa Vieja, which is very good. I know I should try a Cuban sandwich as that is one of the things they are known for, but the frita is so good it has been hard to deviate the few times I have been here. One absolute must every time you come is the corn fritters. Built like a mozzarella stick with the corn fritter wrapped around queso frito then deep fried. These are great!!

They offer authentic Cuban staples like the croquetta preparers and Freitas burger which is a (Seasoned Beef Patty, with Our Famous Crispy String Fries and Onions on a Cuban Roll.) the pork Croqueta was my favorite! I ordered through Uber eats at Cuban guys today. The order came within 45 minutes. I ordered a classic Cuban sandwich. The sandwich was ok, nothing thrilling and nothing bad, I have just had way better. My husband is Cuban so I eat a lot of Cuban food. I ordered from here as it was convenient to me, as I was stuck due to work commitments in a nearby area and needed to eat. I was a little disappointed in the sandwich as it did not have that nice Cuban baked appeal I like - ie the Cuban bread was soft without a crisp or oozing baked on cheese that I like. It was decent enough, but it will not be what I dream about when I crave a Cuban sandwich. I have my favourite places for this and unfortunately Cuban Guys is an Americanised version of the real deal..
I was in Miramar for a week and this place came highly recommended. Decided to try the Frita con queso and side of plantain chips. The burger was a blend of beef and chorizo. It was as delicious as you would imagine. It came with a single slice of American cheese and grilled onions. The top of the bun was branded with their logo. I had to stop myself from eating the whole thing because it was so rich. The plantain chips were delicious and crunch acen came with a garlic sauce. I don't love plantain chips but I loved these. This place had quick service and was so good we ordered again 2 days later. This time I got the kids Cuban with fries. It was a half Cuban sandwich and a handful of fries. Best Cuban of my life. Seriously. Go check it out. I only got pictures of the burger because the second time we ordered I devoured that Cuban. read more

They charged me 15 dollars for a breakfast sandwich and a cafe con leche .which came with one singular ham one singular egg and old bacon ...and the CAFE CON LECHE should have been about 2 dollars. dont bother going if they just wanna charge you what whatever price read more

I took it to go as I went in my lunch break and I took one for my son. When he first looked at the frita he thought it wasn't going to be as good. He loved it he said it was awesome. Parking is a bit tough they're in a plaza but it's packed. Service was really nice and it looked clean. Perfect for your quick lunch break. Fruta really good Croquetas were really good read more

I was craving Cuban food and decided to give this place a try. I ordered a Cuban bowl with chicken. The chicken was flavorful and the plantains were sweet. When you pay with a credit card, you are forced to leave a tip, even if you are not dining in and just grabbing your food to go. read more

This was take out Alejandro took my order. He was very professional, very nice. The staff was very friendly. The service was fast. The restaurant is located in corner of a strip plaza. It is easy to spot. This restaurant has a big sign you see from far. The parking is a little limited in front of the restaurant. But if you drive around you will find parking. The restaurant looked nice and clean. The menu is posted on a board on top. I ordered the Frita Burger. Its liked a hamburger. The meat is seasoned diferent. It had crispy string thin fries and grilled onions. The bread was like a mini cuban bread nice and warm. I liked it. The softness of the bread with the crunch and seasonings worked well together with this burger. it was a good frita. It had an option to double the meat for an extra $3. The ham croquettes where very good. They where large. They had a good crunch to it. They tasted fresh. I enjoyed them. I was watching them cook as I waited for the order. The area is kinda open. Everything was done fresh and right there. The service was good and friendly. The food tasted great. read more

I've been here a couple times its honestly good for a quick meal if your craving cuban food you will get your satisfied with you typical cuban sandwiches. This visit I did go for the yelps Latin heritage month, pretty nice I was able to try their famous frita, super tasty they also gave me a croqueta very warm and a nice crispy crunch. The atmosphere was nice the restaurant played music, but not to loud so it was just very casual. clean restaurant not complaints about the cleanliness. customer service was nice she completely knew what I was talking about when I mentioned the yelp. My food was warm, freshly made. Always come back to cuban guys. Definitely recommend this location, im sure other locations work just as well. read more

Stopped in to get a bistec con pan (steak sandwich) to go. The place was full, most the tables were occupied and there was a line that moved very quickly. My sandwich came with lettuce and tomato, a bit of mayo and crispy potato sticks on it. The bread was so soft and fresh and the sandwich was just perfect. They offer daily specials after 4 pm and the sandwich that I got for $6.50 would have been only $4 later in the day. Next time I go back I want to try their fries because they looked delicious! read more

Fast Cuban food I'm all in!! We stopped in for breakfast sandwiches!! Both had the egg and cheese sandwich. It comes on toasted Cuban bread with papas fritas!!! It was great! They mostly have sandwiches and bowls and they also have yummy looking postres y pastelitos. ! read more

Have a few locations, this was my first visit. It is a fast food joint that serves Cuban cuisine. Had the Cuban bowl and chose chicken as the protein. Bowl came with rice (your choice of white or whole wheat), black beans, grilled onions, and diced fried plantains. Overall meal was good yet nothing special. Staff was friendly and efficient. If I stopped in again I would try one of their sandwiches. An extra star for having a Coca-Cola freestyle machine! read more
