We had reservations for Valentine's Day. The place was full, but we got caught in traffic due to the boat show and were arriving about 20 minutes late. We gave them a call to let them know and they were able to accommodate. The service was absolutely phenomenal. Our waitress has vast knowledge of the menu, specials and ingredients. She gave thorough and appetizing descriptions of whatever we asked about. We started with the special lychee drink of the day and the raspberry rum drink. The cocktails were refreshing, had great presentation and were creatively delicious. The food left nothing to be desired. The seafood was incredibly fresh and the dishes were flavorful. The only thing that was lacking slightly was the ambiance. The live music (flutist and saxophonist) was great, but the tables were placed way too close to each other. Was a bit difficult to have a private conversation.

We were seated very quickly (immediately) when we arrived on time for our 8:00pm reservation on a Friday night. Our waitress was thorough, attentive, and very helpful - especially when we had questions on what to order. My husband ordered an Old Fashioned & he expressed, it was the best he had ever tasted. We also ordered water & we were given a choice between flat & sparkling water (bottled in a glass bottle). These were $7/ea I believe. Our food came out very quickly: first, with our appetizer, then the rolls, and then with our duck entree. Everything was cooked well & was hot when it arrived. PULPITO MOCHICA (appetizer) * grilled octopus w/veggies - One of the best things we ordered. - We demolished this dish. It was hot, cooked well, and bursting with flavor EL GECKO DRAGÓN DE GIANTI (roll) * fried shrimp + cream cheese - this was actually my favorite thing that we ate. I didn't expect to love it as much as I did. INTI MAKI* (roll) * Salmon sushi + fried shrimp - this roll had truffle oil on it... which took some getting used to, as it's a very strong flavor, but it was still tasty. ARROZ CON PATO A LA CHICLAYANA * Duck (shareable portion) - I was disappointed with the amount of Duck we received in this dish, as from looking at pictures, it looks the regular portion has the same amount of meat. We basically paid double for a large bed of rice and lentils (and we barely ate any of that). - the Duck was cooked well... but not as flavorful as I had hoped. DESSERT * I can't remember for the life of me what it was called... but it was light a fluffy + A massive amount of whipped cream, some fruit, and a cookie made from almonds (or pecans) that melted in my mouth. - But, it was delicious! Ambiance: - it was intimate... but too loud for my taste. - we were seated by the front door where a very skilled instrumental artist was playing... but the instruments (and her) were too close to our table. I couldn't hear what my husband was saying unless he yelled, and the instruments were so close it hurt my ears at time. We would come back during our next trip... but we would request to be seated farther away from the door & the instruments.

Second time we've been here on visits to Miami and we've recommended it to many friends. They never disappoint and the friends always thank us! The service is impeccable. Franco was just as phenomenal as Sebastian has been in the past. The whole team is attentive and helps guide you through an extensive and very interesting menu to choose from. The Ceviche and anything we've had from the raw bar is just unreal! Don't miss the Sushi Bombs From the cold and hot apps, to the entrees and desserts, everything is clearly thoughtfully developed and flawlessly executed. The service experience, signature drinks, and the menu all blend the Peruvian and Japanese cultures in thoughtful, interesting, and delicious ways. The top notch servers are all about helping you find what fits your tastes and desires to create YOUR perfect experience. From the signature cocktails featuring Peruvian Pisco, to the sake by the glass selection, and Japanese whiskey old fashion that's hickory smoked at the table. It's all out of this world. Don't sleep on Intimo. 10/10 experience all the way around!

This was easily our favorite meal on our trip to Miami! Everything from the service to the ambiance and food was on point. Our server was Zuliana and I would 100% request her on a future visit. She knew her stuff and had a lot of experience working here. She provided us with the best recommendations and was honest and warm. Nico was a manager who visited our table several times to check on us, and he too was fantastic! They have an incredible team here at INTI.MO. The food... omg the food. I'm so glad we asked Zuliana for recommendations because we wouldn't have tried half the things she suggested, but they turned out to knock our socks off. The tiradito de hamachi was one of my favorites. It had such incredible complex flavor and wonderful textures. A home run. She also suggested we try some of their torched items. We selected the conchita parmesana nigiri and tuna sushi bomb. Both were torched tableside and each was a fantastic balance of flavors and textures. I would have happily ordered more of each! Our final savory course was the classic ceviche with all of the seafood! It was one of the best ceviches I've had, and I love that we got to try so many different types of seafood within. We also tried a couple of desserts, lucuma ice cream and a dulce de leche dessert. The latter was quite rich and sweet but good. The ice cream was a revelation, and a new flavor we had never tried before. From the food to the service and everything in between, INTI.MO stole our hearts and will hands down be the first restaurant I book if I return to Miami in the future!

Outstanding! One of the best dinners I have had in a while. I've never had this cuisine but now that I have there is no turning back. Every meal was like a work of art, delicate and delicious. Helpful staff. Beautiful yet cozy decor. Interesting drinks. Loved the vibe of the saxophonist. Made for a very special evening, an exquisite culinary experience!

Oh my gosh, my favorite restaurant in Miami!! The place inside is super cozy and modern, but the best part is the food. Wow. Every single thing we tried made us say "mmmmm" outloud. The sushi rolls were awesome but our favorite things were the crispy rice with tuna, sushi bombs, and ceviche. I'm actually going back here in a few weeks and am going to try some of the entrees from here too to give an update on those! But if you want fresh seafood and a beautiful mishmosh of Peruvian and Japanese food, this is your Heaven.

Loved the Nikkei (Peruvian-Japanese) sushi rolls we shared. Pricey but a really fun date night spot in South Beach. Live music could've been a little better.

Increíble great service, presentation, ambiance, gastronomy. Food was excellent. If you are on a budget and hungry, this might not be for you. It's a bit pricey, but an excellent experience.

Delicious Peruvian food with along with a stylish and flavorful Japanese influence. We started with a Smokey Mezcal and Fresh Passion Fruit Margarita with a hint of fresh Peruvian lime juice and it even came with an extra shot of the super smooth mezcal. Beautiful presentation, with fresh flowers, gold leaf and dry ice. So happy our server Sebastian recommended it. Our wonderful server also recommended we start with the Tuna Sushi Bomb topped with Foie Gras. Such a wild pairing idea, but he said it was a flavor bomb, and after it was caramelized Table side with a butane torch it really was a perfect bite. We even said if we had any room left after our entrees we would order another round for dessert. For entrees, My husband had the Short Rib Pappardelle and he finished every bit. I had a creamy, Seafood Paella which was very good. Excellent quality products and I love that for fine dining they did not at all skimp on portion size. And the service from the Hostesses, to the gracious Managers who walked around and spoke with every table to Sebastian who was so knowledgeable about the menu and helpful. Thanks to everyone at @inti.momiami for providing us with such a great fantastic dining experience in South Beach! #APerfectDay #ilovetravel #DogMom #foodie #tampabayrealtor #GratefulandBlessed #bridget_breland_realtor #Bridgie_Breland_Foodie #yelptampabay #yelpelite #southbeach

I fully expected to scorn South Beach's flashy facades as having more sizzle than substance. But my dinner at INTIMO proved even a scene-y place like this can surprise and delight with a deft kitchen and live musical entertainment to boot. At first glance, INTIMO felt pulled out of a glitzy magazine spread-- all aquamarine and gold hues, underwater themed decor and live violinists playing covers of top 40 hits, which is what made the place feel VERY Miami. Nestled inside these decadent trappings is this excellent Japanese Peruvian restaurant with delicious bites. Skeptical as I was when I arrived, one bite of their sushi rolls and sip of their cocktails had me transfixed in wide-eyed admiration. Far from basic nigiri and sushi pieces, here were some thoughtfully composed plates as much as for savoring as they were for picture taking amidst these see and be seen tables. INTIMO is both an entertainment space and gastronomic contender. It taught me not to judge a restaurant by its cover, or its violinists.

From Aiden, I'm only 10 years old and this was one of my favorite food experiences!! Franco was an amazing waiter! He gave us suggestions and all of them were amazing! For example the sushi bombs were covered in gold flakes! I thought that the gold was a very good design! There wasn't much noise so it was nice and quiet . There were fresh flowers that made the restaurant smell amazing! He did an amazing job giving great suggestions. 5+ stars!! Aiden

Duck 3 ways with LOTS of rice
    Sheila R.

The food was incredible at Intimo!! I've been a long time fan of Ceviche 105, and just learned that the chef is connected to both restaurants. To start, the restaurant interior was pretty and comfortable. My husband and I ordered 2 smaller dishes and 2 entrees. We had the crispy rice with tuna, the snapper bao buns, the short rib with pappardelle, and the duck prepared 3 ways. The food was phenomenal. It was beautifully plated and full of flavor. The short rib dish is one of the best short rib/ pasta dishes I've ever had. It was the better of the 2 entrees. Sadly we were too full to try dessert, but it looked sooo good. The only criticism I have is for the service. Our waitress provided no guidance in how to order, which is helpful with a large and varied menu such as Intimo's. When we asked about our appetizers she named things she liked and didn't provide feedback about what we were interested in. She also was visibly disappointed when we didn't order alcohol. I hope the servers are encouraged to offer better service because it adds so much - and takes away from the experience, depending on who you get. I think Peruvian Japanese fusion food is exciting, and I hope to dine here when in Miami again. I give 5 stars for the food.

This Peruvian place is one of our favorites, the food, cocktails and service is spotless. A cozy place in the caos of south beach, that delivers fresh, excellent and unique interpretation of Peruvian classic dishes, pair with superb cocktails.

J-CH roll on the left, 105% roll on the right. Both amazing.

    Ask the Community - INTIMO

Does INTIMO have good vegetarian options?

Yes! They have the Ceviche Veggie and the Steak Cauliflower (both delicious!). You also have a veggie roll and a couple of salads.

Do they have a kids menu?

Didn't see one but that doesn't mean there isn't one. Suggest to call them directly and ask. There were a lot of families there having dinner with younger children so I'm sure they accommodate.

    Is there a patio?

There was a patio when we were there in December.

From the moment we arrived, the ambiance and location created the perfect atmosphere for a special evening. The food truly exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend the Miso Black Cod -- it was phenomenal and had the same rich, buttery texture as Chilean sea bass. Absolutely delicious. The Wagyu Burger was also outstanding -- freshly ground, high quality, and cooked perfectly. We also tried one of their sushi rolls topped with miso and filled with fresh tuna and salmon, and it was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared. You can really taste the quality in every bite. Our server (I didn't catch her name -- an Asian woman, possibly in her 40s) was wonderful and made our experience even more enjoyable with her attentive and warm service. We truly loved this place and are already looking forward to coming back, especially to explore more of their sushi menu. Highly recommend!

Booked same-day on OpenTable, seated immediately on a packed Friday night. The covered terrace is stunning -- Japanese paper lanterns, string lights, tropical foliage. The Dragon Fruit Lemonade mocktails arrived orchid-garnished and vivid fuchsia. My Wahakan Old Fashioned came with a single spherical ice ball in a crystal-cut glass. Food highlights: Baby Corn in parmesan cream with paprika was the dish of the night. Crispy Truffle Fried Rice hearty and satisfying. Miso soup clean. Salmon Furai solid. Sushi enjoyable though the rice lacks the refinement of Miami's top raw bars. Vegetarians: limited options -- one Veggie Roll and uncertain tofu preparation when we asked to add it to the rice. Service warm but plates were cleared twice while we were still eating. On billing: 20% service charge added automatically, then the receipt suggests an extra 2-5% tip on top -- worth knowing upfront. OpenTable users: if you're redeeming a Dining Reward card, the staff hadn't encountered one before -- but the manager handled it graciously and honored the full amount without issue. Family-friendly, fair value, genuinely memorable evening.

To be fair, service was pretty slow at first--we didn't even have menus for a while. The restaurant had a full buyout event earlier and seemed to be playing catch-up. The environment of the restaurant is dark and mysterious, edgy and luxurious, which elevated my anticipation of the meal to come. The complimentary glass of champagne was a nice welcome. When it was time to dine, all the guests for the evening were led down a low lit hallway to the dining room. When the frosted glass doors slid open, they revealed a beautiful chef's table situated in the center of the room. All the lighting, colors, and decoration point your eyes toward the chef as if he was on a stage. The restaurant is small, only a few seats around the table. This was nice because you get to know about your fellow guests. Everyone in attendance was so fun and personable. Now for the food. I will confess, I do not normally even like sushi or crave Asian food of this style. However, I loved every dish that was served to me. They hit all the senses - sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste. Other reviews have gone into detail about the various dishes and how good they are so I don't need to. I just want to echo those points and simply express gratitude to the chef for opening my horizons to enjoy these dishes I would not normally have. The showmanship is just right. The chef jokes with the guests and shows off his techniques but there is nothing kitschy or cliché about it. If anyone is concerned about that, let me allay your fears. There were three birthdays being celebrated that night, one of which was my friend's. The restaurant treated us all with a delicious coconut ice cream topped with caviar and finished with a cloud of gold dust. Seeing my friend light up from the gold dust finish made me so happy. Everyone who had a birthday walked away feeling extra special. Finally, a word about cocktails. The Japanese whiskey old fashioned was stunningly good. I had two of them. They source some very old and rare Japanese whiskeys to make their cocktails so they were certainly special. Would I recommend Nossa to others? Absolutely! They limit reservations to a max of two people so go with a close friend or loved one on a special occasion. It was be an experience you both remember and cherish.

Highlights: * Ultra luxury Omakase…read more* Starting at $295+++ per person * An exciting and exclusive experience dinner and a culinary "Show" Omakases in the Miami area have become almost as common to find as Lamborghinis and Ferraris on South Beach lately and high end venues where you can easily beg for the right to pay in advance and spend over $1,000 ++ per couple for dinner with wine or sake, tax, tip and extras, are becoming quite common. If you're going to drop a grand or two for dinner you are 1. Looking for something really special, 2. Want great food, great service and a special experience, 3. Can afford it or at least for a special occasion. I can't speak to your budget but Nossa, which means "Wow" in Portuguese will provide you with a very unique experience, a "Wow". You pay for a non refundable meal on Tock, in advance. Tax, tip, beverages and extras will be paid onsite later. There are only 15 or so spots per night, 6-8 per seating. Be sure to pay attention to the email instructions. You must arrive in advance (not Miami time). Part of the fun is finding the place. You are directed to a small poke shop where it looks like you're in the wrong place. You ask the cashier for instructions. He hands you an envelope with your name on it. You open it up and it tells you how to find Nossa. There is a secret hidden entrance close by and they will ask you the password before allowing you in. The secret door opens to a small speakeasy type bar with silent movies playing on the wall and you are offered a complimentary glass of bubbles (Prosecco). You are later escorted into a beautiful room, black with red lights, Japanese lanterns, jellyfish art, a large open kitchen and a custom semi circular marble dining counter with a spot light over each guests service area, where you and a few other guests (8 total maximum) will enjoy watching the night's preparations served directly in front of you. Depending on the theme of the night the focus might be on fish, wagyu, caviar, sake or whiskey matching. Chef Max Kamakura of Brazilian and Japanese background starts the show. Expect a lot of smoke, fire and showmanship as he creates 13 or more courses for you. On our visit in August the focus was Wagyu A5, see photo of menu. We had 7 different Wagyu preparations (oyster, tartare, smoking sando, tataki, Shabu shabu, uni, lemon and chasola), with 4 nigiris and dessert. We also took them up on several additional nigiris which were $20 each ++ per person extra, adds up. There is a small wine and sake list or corkage is available for wine collectors. I found it interesting that Nossa ages their own fish. Yes certain fish can be aged if you know what your doing. And like prime dry aged beef the fish can gain amazing complexity. We tried some aged fish next to fresh and it was quite surprising. Chef Kamakura uses an array of special cooking gadgets, smokers, and at times it looks like the lab of a mad scientist or a magician. When he's done you are served in an array of unique and attractive dishes. Nossa is not for everyone, but if you're an adventurous foodie who can handle Michelin prices and are looking for a unique experience then Nossa is for you.

The restaurant is beautiful and our waiter was very kind. There was also a live DJ and at one point there was a performance from an aerialist. While the food was whatever, I think the overall experience was still nice! However don't go having any high expectations about a fabulous delicious meal - go for the vibes, ha.

We made a reservation for a Sunday at 9:30 AM for Mother's Day. We were a party of 5 and they had a…read morebuffet style breakfast. My mom absolutely loved it. I think her favorite part was the omelette station, you can choose what ingredients you desire and they make the omelette fresh. I also loved the omelette station, it's such a personalized dining experience. You can sit for a total of 2 hours and enjoy a wonderful breakfast experience. There was so many things to chose from. I absolutely loved the French toast, it came with a caramelized banana on top. It was as if I was enjoying some banana bread, the French toast was so soft to the bite. The service was wonderful. Everyone was extremely attentive. Parking is valet which is a flat rate of $40 if you are only there for breakfast. It goes up in price after 4 hours I believe. You can also park in a garage that's down the street which is way cheaper, if you don't mind walking a bit. Overall, we absolutely loved this spot for breakfast. I want to come back and try their lunch experience.
