Surprised we had never tried this place before. We were seated in the wine room which was a vibe. The food was delicious. Ceviche super fresh and tasty. The pulpo was perfection. We were there on a Sunday early dinner so it was kind of empty. We had great service, very attentive. Patient with our boys. Overall enjoyed our experience.

Came for an early dinner on a Wednesday , the place was very beautiful. The staff was very professional ,service was amazing and so was the food. This place is a total hit. It used to be something else many years ago, but for some reason, it went out of business, this place have toped what was there before with a much better quality food service and pricing ,I will be definitely coming back

I just received the following response about my review which is just a generic and polite acknowledgement- nothing more. (Please see attached photo where I am promised my review was helpful and would be taken into account to improve the experience). How does that help me feel better? I feel ripped off, taken advantage of and frankly, mocked. I don't know if this is true or not, but according to Yelp 1100 people have seen my review and my photos of Francesco Restaurant . If it were me, I would be doing everything possible to make this review positive at least with his sincere intentions. I have seen nothingof that. If they were to come through, the way a good business owner should I will be sure to update this review. In the meantime, my recommendation is to stay far away from their Miami Spice menu....the rest of the menu? I have no clue .

An amazing Peruvian restaurant in Coral Gables on the mile ... it's been back in the gables for over a year and it's been better than the original. They have a great bar and reasonably priced drinks and food.. pay them a visit and enjoy some amazing seafood Make sure you stop by and se Ofi - best bartender in the Gables

Francesco on the Mile is one of best Peruvian restaurants in town. The food is fresh and delicious. They have a great bar area where you can have cocktails (check out the happy hour) and people watch. The staff are amazing. I've also been here for a champagne tasting event, and the hors d'oeuvres were absolutely delicious. Overall, a staple of Coral Gables.

Took a little late the picture ... plates were almost finished . 100% recomendable

I remember Francesco in a different location. Came back to Coral gables to renew my Peruvian passport and I look for Peruvian restaurant around. To my surprise there was Francesco close to us ... It was as I remember... Amazing ! Alex , our bartender/waitress because we seated at the bar made a perfect pisco sour..,, as should be ... traditional and great. The food, awesome! and maybe even better than I remember was lunch time and I asked for the trio of tiraditos .... Unbelievable fresh, 3 different sauces, all of them delicious! My American husband asked for the only plate he adventure to try. " lomo saltado". I tried and was really amazed about the French fries ,,, Peruvian purple/yellow potatoes perfectly cooked, crispy but not oily ... the meat super tender with that smoky flavor that brought me to my childhood, my country ..... just as it would be ... perfect Peruvian taste ! Next time we come around, we definitely eat here again. Thanks to Francesco !

Great flavors! Solid service by OFI (sp?). Nice ambience. The street can be annoying bc hot rods are zooming down the street which makes for a very loud experience. Had the fish ceviche with the fried calamari which was delicious. And the ahi tuna with shrimp dish also delish! The pumpernickel bread with onions on top was ok.

We came in for lunch, ambiance quiet peaceful. They offered the "taste of gables" a 3 item choice of appetizer, main course & dessert $35 well worth it. For appetizer a brushchetta salmon with cream cheese & huancaina potatoes with corn also had the shrimp chaufa with fried rice and a delicious Faroe island salmon on top of soft hot vegetables with side glace (images provided) for main finishing off with a lucuma cheesecake dusted on side + a chocolate nougat (turron) with vanilla ice cream on top. Service was good, parking garage available at rear.

Went to Francesco's with a group of 10 for a birthday dinner. The service was superb and the attention to detail was incredible. Then the drinks and food come and they are out of this world delicious! Cannot rave more about this dining experience, especially with such a large group. Francesco's blew us away!

My husband and I have been meaning to try this place and finally got around to it for New Year's Day. What a wonderful way to start the new year. We started with the "Parilla de Mariscos"- usually comes with octopus but we were able to substitute for scallops ( wow!!!). The pairing of the avocado, tomato and potato was delish . The sauces and flavors were exquisite. Highly recommend you ask for it as your appetizer. I had the Lomo Salteado ( traditional dish) they have their own take on it with mushroom steak sauce and and a rice and bean side. Hubby had the short rib with the flavorful meat falling off the bone. It came served with beans and rice. Delicious! We tried their pisco sours ( traditional and passion fruit). Finished our meal with Tocinillo del cielo ( a cheese-like flan) also fabulous, Our server was Eric who was charming, informed us about the restaurant and made all these incredible recommendations. Ambiance was welcoming and loved their music. I even asked for their playlist! A must try!!

Overcooked dry and chewy. Sent back and replaced with a less dry and less overcooked Mahi Mahi

All I can say is what a huge disappointment. My best friend and I have been planning our first Miami spice of the year for quite some time and we had soooooo many options. I never imagined that our choice would leave us feeling so unimpressed, bamboozled and STARVED. Let's start off with the fact that we have to ASK for the Miami Spice because they will not offer it if you don't request it. I asked and it was presented. Next, the options. As appetizers we chose the Causa of Crab and the Scallop Tiradito with Francesco Sauce or should I say Francesco Sauce with paper thin slices Scallop Tiradito which were perfectly camouflaged in their special sauce. We almost mistook the bigger pieces of Choclo for the actual scallops thinking oh how cute mini scallops! But no, digging in a little deeper we discovered 4 micro slices of scallops. The sauce was great but excessive. Maybe it was a game of find the scallop? For the main course we had Crab Ravioli and Catch of the Day in "Walnut Sauce" that tasted more like a McCormick powder mix makeshift gravy. The catch of the day was Mahi Mahi which was drier than the Sahara Sahara. Not only was the mahi-mahi overcooked, but it was bland and tasteless. Although I hate to do this, I sent it back. They were very apologetic and promised to make it up to me which they did with a better less overcooked mahi-mahi but sadly still tasteless. The icing on the cake was the dessert. I was so looking forward to the lucuma cheesecake! I could not believe what they served us. Not only was it itty-bitty, but it tasted more like caramel than this delicious beloved Peruvian delicacy: Lucuma. We did not eat them, and our server was more than gracious, and I can honestly say that she was embarrassed. She insisted on bringing out a lucuma moose, which was delicious albeit tiny. But my question is why would they serve us a mediocre subpar miniature meal as an enticement to their restauran? The manager came over apologetically and swore that Marc Anthony was a regular at their establishment. My friend asked what Mark Anthony ate when he came and he was unable to give us a straight answer. All in all I feel that I have not only wasted my money and my time, but also one of the few moments I get to spend with my best friend which I cherish. The only reason I did not give this establishment one star was because of our server. She was gracious apologetic, friendly, and a fantastic host. Also the wine. Two hours and almost $200 later, we had to eat again. Where's the scallops?

The service was efficient and friendly, Ken took great care of us and made sure everything flowed smoothly. The menu has a great variety and everything is beautifully presented. I started with the sweet-sauce chicken wings, perfectly crispy and full of flavor, followed by a round of tacos, some with beef, others with chicken, fresh and well balanced. I also had the chance to shake things up with an espresso martini or known as RumWake. It had all those rich coffee aromas and an interesting twist from a banana nut texture. It was good, but I still prefer the classic version. Their mojito, which I usually don't enjoy, totally surprised me, bright mint notes toned down the sweetness just right. At Mamey, they call it the "Mint Condition," and it's definitely worth a conditional try. The one drink I liked the least was the Serata, essentially an Aperol spritz with Asian gin blended with Prosecco. It felt watered down and the flavors just didn't come together for me. Overall, Mamey delivers a unique "island-minded" experience that blends flavors from the Caribbean, Asia, and Latin America. Between the beautiful setting, creative menu, great cocktails (with a couple of misses), and attentive service, it's a spot I'd come back to for both casual nights and special occasions.

We've come here a few times in recent weeks and the place is running nearly the same as it always has for at least a few decades, through changes in drag hosts, management and even changes to this venue's name over those years. We tend to come just before showtime so there's normally always a cover (worth it for the entertainment patrons get to see), friendly bartenders and a drag show featuring talented performers, with at least one normally interacting with patrons and doing comedy during a break in the performances, before opening up the floor for dancing once the show is complete. Azucar isn't located near much of anything else when it comes to nightlife, it's a bit divey - definitely nothing fancy or glamorous, and it's probably not worth the drive from the beach just to check it out, as at least one other reviewer mentioned. Also, all shows and entertainment, aside from lyrics to a few songs here and there are in Spanish with no English translation, so if you don't speak Spanish or have someone who can interpret at least some of the funniest bits that get the most laughs, you may not fully understand what's happening or may feel a bit left out. That said, if you're just looking for a solid drag show or appreciate Latin nightlife, this is definitely an option.
